Same issue here was playing fine then got booted and now can’t get back in.
“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time”
or I get a network error or I log in to char select and then swiftly lose connection again.

same issues got dc’ed 5 secs after selecting my character.

i know theres hundreds of topics about these guildwars 2 is over heating my poor i5 core processor and forcing my laptop to turn off.

some slight improvments can be made by locking the framerate at 30fps which reduces heat ive found

and keeping your fans set to automatic

if this is heats up very quickly like mine still does consider playing guildwars 2 outside in the fresh air or under a bit unbrella if its raining lol.

but im quickly realising theres probably not gonna be a fix for this problem anytime soon. so for the meanwhile people i suggest playing guildwars 2 for a hour or so at a time and then letting your cpu cool down before playing it again. because over heating your cpu can cause damage to it.
or if you cant do that then i suggest playing other games for example

counter strike global offensive is really gr8
prototype series is pretty awesome aswell
if all else fails theres always warcraft.

i have a i5 core and guildwars 2 use it way loads then say bf3 and crysis 2 and cs go

only ever had this sort of problems on runescape before.

yh i see your point my cooling fans are on the bottom so over heating is an issuue ive locked my frame rate at 30 fps and seems to be helping a small part. check out fan now

Currently we are investigating a known issue with 32-bit operating systems and Nvidia GTX cards. Unfortunately there is no ETA for a fix at this time – though I am glad to hear Grizzle that you haven’t experienced the crash in a while. It is possible that this could be a driver based issue since you have a GTS Nvidia card.

I would recommend a clean installation of the newest drivers since yours appear to be a couple of months old. If anything this should at least improve performance for you.

now ive installed new drivers still over heats and crashes?
this is 64 bit operating system. the problem is with both 64 and 32 bit opperating systems

Is there a fix in sight? This is becoming a joke. Why should I log on when I know for certainty that my game will crash within 30 mins? And I am clearly not the only one. The forums are filled with players experiencing identical issues.

After posting Crash Reports, DxDiags, and the logs from anet Advisor thing….most people are told that they need to update drivers. It’s not an issue with our PCs when every other game works. It’s a GW2 issue.

No news has been released on the issue other than to say ‘we know’ and no fix appears to be coming any time soon.

I’m tempted to just give my game to someone else.

i payed £39,99 for this and all it does is crash my computer . guildwars 1 was way better anyways but that besides the point. i dont like the skill system in this game at all.
im gonna try download the new driver for video card if anyone care of is intrested i have nvidida geforce gt525m. but i dont see this making a real difference.
