From a PvE Standpoint.

Once you are familiar with the dungeons, Full Berserker Armor/Trinkets/Weapons is the way to go. If you’re a little unfamiliar with dungeons you might want to mix up your gear.

I use on my ranger Shortbow, Axe/horn, and red moa to keep fury up permanently.

If you are poor just use berserker gems to slot the armor with.
if you have a little bit of extra cash i find that 5 runes of the scholar with a ruby gem brings the best dps to the table for ranger.

So to simplity things…While including a Master Maintenance Oil, + 80prec 8% crit food and Crit sigil 5%…

(I have just berserker gems no scholar runes)

Crit Rate: 91%
Crit Damage: 107%

hitting raptors in the wvwvw zone for 980-1.2k dmg with shortbow
Axe doing about 1.4k damage on a crit. (Almost every hit lands a crit)

Its no 100blades…but the shooting rate of the bow that can shoot through targets and the axe that bounces off targets…Your damage is going to be extremely high if not maxed out for a ranger not including pet damage. I am honestly happy with it, some fights where no one wants to melee Legendary Shaman I am looking at you from fractals of the mists your ranged damage will be at the top with thief and engineer.

So you recommend a super DPS based build for PvE then, I’m going to presume?

And also, does the fact that I craft my berserker armor matter? Or is there a specific way i should go about obtaining this gear?

So I recently recovered my account from being hacked, but not much was destroyed so it was all pretty good, but now that I am back into the game, I need some recommendations for high level gear and how to obtain such gear, as I just maxed out.

I know I should be stacking Precision/Power/Critical , so I was looking at High level crafted Berserker armor, but I dont know if it is worth it.

Also what good high level shortbows and axe/horn combos are there?

Just little old me looking for a guild to join and play and have fun with

I’m a level 80 Charr Ranger, and I enjoy mostly PvE, and dungeons, but I definitly don’t mind a bit of WvW , PvP, or even just material farming every now and again.

is there any way to craft unique/rare gear in the higher levels?
or must all the gear be bought/picked up from drops

im just asking for reference in the future

just wondering, since i am quite low level, (27 ish)
should i keep crafting armor and weapons through my professions, (i play ranger so, leatherworker/huntsman)
or should i try an other way of getting armor and gear?

i heard you can get PvP gear or something? i am not really into PvP yet, but is it worth it to go for that kind of gear?

i have been having some trouble grinding to get to a higher level, so maybe i will just chill, gather a bit and do some power leveling on my crafting…

im only around level 22 and fairly new to the game, im playin charr and im just looking for a good place to try and farm leather and jute scraps for my ranger.

my crafting professions are huntsman and leatherworker, and i am trying to raise my crafting levels in both so i can get some higher level gear.

any and all help would be appreciated!
