Like the character slots for vet players (mine took 10 days to get a 2nd free slot after purchase of HoT), it might not be an instant refund depending on demand of refunds to be processed.

If you read the rest of the section where you pulled that from, you buy HoT, contact Customer Support (the link is available in the link you posted), and they refund you what you’d originally paid for the game, so long as it’s within those dates.

Then you have your game + HoT. It’s not a full refund. It’s just the core game refund since you bought it so close to when they’d announced the info for the next part of the game.

I thought this was only if you didn’t want to play the game because it was under the part if you no longer wanted to play. They said “We’ll provide further details on when refunds will be processed in the next couple weeks as we set up this process.” and that’s the part that confused me the most as I didn’t see any updates on this.

Now this was posted on June 22, and I haven’t heard anything about this since.
Does this mean I have to purchase HoT first and get the refund later? How does it work?

I think I’ll avoid PvP for now and reach 80 first. Events seem like a lot of fun when there are many people around and WvWvW seems like something that could be exciting when playing with others. Thank you guys!

Yes I’m in a guild but I’m a noob so I’m honestly afraid of asking if I could go anywhere with them because I don’t want to ruin the thing for them. I think the part the fun-killer for me is the fact that I’m confused and not yet sure what I’m supposed to do in this game generally.

Because it’s not the only thing this is about. I just want to see what everyone sees in this game.

I bought this game a couple of months ago and I liked it a lot at first but the excitement seems to be fading so fast. Everybody seems to love this game so much but I just can’t see why. I was willing to get over the horrible PvP (I mean the downed system, really?) and continue with the game but honestly I don’t even see the point in leveling. I wanted to run Ascalonian Catacombs but it was either lvl 80 only or you had to pay like 3 gold to these peoeple which is just so weird. I don’t know if I’m just not casual enough for this game or is there something else but overall I just don’t seem to enjoy this game besides the fact that it’s visually stunning and the music is great.
