i was 2 last years without playing and games sucks as never in WxWxW, everything its wrong, still the no nothing toughness values , some op classes, fights happens in seconds, boons are op , boons sharing in large groups make incredible combos , its almost impossible to get ride of them, some classes (warrior, guardian and elementalist) haves infinite boons, but the worst from worst its still health recap in pvp or wxwxw as a gift,
I can understand they give recap health on PvE so game’s fastest, but in any kind of pvp, its nonsense.
The game had nice early fights along the first year, now a days its so bad.
WxWxW its annoying to play around, my 2 cents , still the same old maps but with awfull new mecanics on tower and keeps, old way was far better.
Meh and pvp haves craping server’s disconneting over and over….
numbers talk by ourselves , 65% of outside Zergs WxWxW players are: thieves, 15% mesmer 15%eles then 5% all other 5 classes, so why people comes here and tells so much xit, easy burst invisible playing class its the favorite by far on wxwxw, and someone tells they are nice as they are right now, that’s why the class balance in this game its so wonderful, engineers and necros are bashed to the ground (we see some on large zergs), mesmers are being nerfed since september with every patch, and lots of bugs in traits and skills , warriors the same and so on, only untouchable class’s are elementalist and thief, period no discussion, still theres a lot of noobs playing those 2 classes .
No other game allows players to remain in stealth while damaged or to remain in stealth while attacking. All othe games REDUCE movement speed dramatically while stealthed. They reversed all 3 of these in this game and made stealth laughably overpowered.
that’s the point and numbers on WxWxW outside from large zergs tell you this 65% thieves, 15% mesmers 15%eles and 5% all other 5 classes, ANET reaaly gives us incentive to play as necro or engineer out from large zergs, thanx anet.
Right now im playing my mesmer and tooked off both engineer or necro (necro its by far the worst class 1×1 (i was playing long months with him and able to kill some noobs L80, but against skilled players necro its a joke), i can tell you this with my mesmer im doing stuff i could not even dream sith my eng or necro (still necro build wells are fine for zergs)

first of all they should rise the power of keeper’s by a lot (all keep masters should be at minimum something like Subject X from path 2 and 3 on Crucible of Eternity), then if a server is outnumbered by double the power and defense from npc’s rises for double, this way at least the defending outnumbered servers can do something different from keep loosing.
ANET should do really changes on tower, keeps and castle siegemasters so defending really maters, and help the outnumbered servers or merging, i would like to have battles where siegemaster must be take with cautious not zerg style as it is.
Why we have heavy ’’hard’’ (some boss’s really need to know and use tactic’s) 5 man instance boss’s and on mass zerg WxWxW they offer easy rubbish boss’s ?
SM trebs, golem rush, invisible stomping, portal bombing, solo-contesting, thief damage, camp buff (fixed version), glitching into gates, invisible circles, culling, lag, bugged queue, orbs..
theres a lot that should be fixed..
its true everything you write , still new feature for yellow swords doesn’t help at all the WxwxW situation
problem its not the zergs but culling or mass stealth, wxwxw it ’s always big numbers on battles, and trust me i never saw larger zergs than on early abyss AION fortress sieges with more than 500 players near 1 fortress
This is a Constructive thread, meant to help the game designers to get stealth back on track in WvW.
Anyone who plays the game WvW knows that stealth is overpowerd. Ppl playing stealth classes will try and shoot this thread down. So let me refer to the post “Stealth in WvW needs a nerf” where the OP is a stealth user and feels its very overpowered. Some will try to claim he is lying but at the end of the day. ANYONE playing WvW knows that there are way too many advantages when using stealth as Mesmer, Thief.
1.You can take out a group of 4 ppl, no other classes can do anything similar.
2. If you are close to loosing a fight you can cloak and run to safty and start all over again. No other classes can do anything similar or even close.So pls give some constructive feedback on how stealth can be fixed in WvW.
This is NOT a yes it is NO it isnet thread. So when ppl start try to shoot the thread down pls try to be the wiser and stay on topic. I hope to get a lot of great ideas with this post, so we can help the gamedesigners with some great input.
An idea could be one of the following
- To prolong the cooldown on stealth.
- reduce time in stealthmode
- Let more skills interrupt stealth.
- reduce backstab damage

i never saw a thief or mesmer taking down more than 2 average players, and if both are skilled forget it even if they are a engineer or a necro, , altough you talk about 1 Vs 4 and we still take them all down , uhmm i would like to see that, as long as you learn how to play against backstab thiefs they kill 1 but usually they are unable to finish it if some allies are around, just aor around downed allie or use fear kncok back or heavy located dmg usually they will be down after that .
I agreed they need to lower the amount of time in stealth and give less burst to thiefs (1vs 1 they are op), but please 1 thief against any 2 other skilled players they are screw, how many times i kill them with my mesmer (ok i use the 4 stealth mesmer available skills all the time), and any of my dodges adds 1 more clone.
Easy playable class’s are on top ofc, but groups without necros , warriors or rangers are bad groups (zergs), these tree classes are as useful as guardian/mesmer/eles.
Side note i have an engineer but quit to play with him on wxwxw for good as long as the class its the top RNG class on game and almost all kits sux and more or less no really top skills for group, its by far the worst crap class on WxWxW (i was playing almost 1 month), still i could won numerous 1Vs1.
But really it doesn’t matter for something useful for our group (turrets are all paper junk, nades are slow landing, bombs are too much melee without duration, i find flamethrower the only nice kit on him but still its too close range).
Underworld has now offically been renamed into Zergmuchworld for more info /w me in game :P
yes these days its true everyone just follow a comander and that’s why we still are very unorganized then it seems overzergs >>trust me more than half haves noclue about wxwxw they just follow the mass zerg
And one of the most important things in this game its tab target , they told from betas you dont need it? well aoe’s doesnt need it but every crap 1 target skill needs it or 90% of time you fail to land that skill (see mesmers changes/nerf), how many times with ranger im using my bow and the …king shot goes to my feet?? thats a joke you know, make no tab at all . period.
Instead of complaining about thieves everytime you got pwned why not try to suggest something usefull on how you would change the class?
of course if you don’t know anything about thieves and just like to complain and see them completely deleted from the game, do not post anything…here’s my suggestions (coming from a thief):
1- add a very small casting time to steal (I think something from 0.2 to 0.5 sec should be ok). 0.5sec is the actual casting time for C\D while steal is an instant skill, that’s why every thief can use the combo C\D – steal – BS.
Cloack&Dagger was ever meant to be precasted before steal, that is like an exploit.. just try to fight a glass cannon thief that doesn’t use precasted C\D and you will see so many differences, if the thief is good can still win but so can you, and you can actually dodge better his combo.2 – C\D should simply not work on walls, gate or every not animated thing, also make the revealed buff to appear everytime a thief goes in stealth mode, and not only when he actually does some dmg.
Also add 1 second at the duration of the revealed buff, from 3sec to 4 sec and of course fix the culling.3 – this is a pve change that will work in WvW too, just improve the AI of mobs, so that when a thief goes stealth, they just don’t reset the combat. I mean at the moment with the culling problem and with the possibility of using C\D on everything, even a fly, many thieves, even myself, are using every mob on the battlefield for exploting the culling.
There are 2 solution: or remove completely every mob from WvW, or change their AI so they don’t lose aggro on the thief when he stealth and goes out of stealth. In this way the thief can still use every mob at his advantage but he will have more things shooting at him once out of stealth.I think those 3 changes will put the thief in the right direction
this is the best post to fix this abbuse /exploit for the poor game engine, holy xit if game engine works very bad with stealth why give these non ending bonus to one class? Culling needs a dramatic fix fast!, and stealth forever either
Who bursts more than a rogue using cnd and BS? I usually see a fully geared rogue hit me for 12-15k with those two alone with steal adding another 2.5-5k depending on crits. A kill shot does only about 12k to me and a shatter usually hits me for around 10-12k
A rifle warrior, traited for ir (as a bs thief is traited for it) can hit up to more than 20k kill shots from 1500 range every 5-8secs followed by a volley of 10-15k from 1200 range. And still have more health and armor than the GC BS thief. Ah, and pierce, so if someone is on the way they are dead too…
Ah, and as a channel skill, it takes people down even if they try to go on stealth/teleport.12k kill shot is from some group buffed balanced warrior that got the riffle as a secondary weapon.
I have a riffle warrior, and on big battles its a lot of fun. And a lot of bags.
And it has much bigger burst and sustained dps than my thief. And have group buffs!
No, it doesnt have stealth, it has range, much better tool on big group fights and sieges in Wv3.Excepting the fact that we can see said warrior, see the long cast time shots and dodge them or move out of range.
yes and most of time in groups you are hiting yourself , guardian reflecting walls or mesmers reflecting bubbles or even ele magn aura, i have a ranger and i must be careful when i start a burst or im self killed.
game breaker its not the thief its the game arcaic engine its a big failure (portal bombs are the maximum example), if its fun, well i started to play less and less cause it sucks most of the time get owned by this failure game engine (and have nice fps and nice pc), it seems i am playing a casino game if im in a nice spot after the culling im alive if not im dead in 4 secs without even notice , worst of all its the combat log (its a amateur joke).
Thiefs are really easier to play and kill noobs as i was cause with the current game engine you will be stealth ed forever even when attacking ,
How many times i got my necro to less than 20% hp and seeing no one around??, Although Last weeks i managed to kill thiefs quite well on my way, still some thiefs using pistol and never ending vigor and stealth most of time are very annoying .
Thief’s need a nerf ? nope i think all classes need some nerf on output critdmg , but most important at all its to take away this culling issue and make a gap on thief mass invisibility.
as necromancer and as crappy this game engine works conditions seems to not trigger superior sigil of corruption inside groups that’s why i replace well of darkness to well of suffering , that way i get credit and stack on kill.
The best way to notice that its against buffed masters on camps , im top on dmg and still i get no stack (sometimes), cause all my dmg on him its bleed or poison, what a crappy bugg, another thing its the combat log, it sux, i miss combat log from AION a lot where i can notice how i died or killed stuff in fights, (and its an easier way to spot cheaters).
About DZ its always the same that’s why i think they loose badly after they win against us (UW), they play ’’dirty’’, i mean they come (lots of times), after other 2 servers are fighting and take an easy keep/tower for them without effort, i believe that tactic could be fun on their point of view but with time they get owned by both other 2 servers cause nobody likes ’’lazy’’ easy cap tactics .
With RoS we had really nice battles but unfortunately not with DZ.
i hope they dont fix cause its nothing to be fix and its not an exploit, you only take dmg from a enemy if you stay near him, to tell the truth its even better so we as defenders knows in live their location and their next moves, and as someone told before build a balista and you will understand very well what i mean.

its better not to play at all than to open security away to hackers, i can wait 1 or 3 days no problemo
