Allow players to purchase high end weapon skins?

That makes no sense because now you are telling us all our legendaries are meaningless. It doesn’t matter if I bought mine with gold from a gold seller, grinded it in game, or got lucky in the event, allowing people to just buy a legendary skin or precurser is a slap to all of that have already succeeded where the OP has failed.

If you want to go OTT, put the three minis in the mystic forge & you`ll get a skelly toting two chainsaws.
Youtube it first though, trust me

lol, I have a Charr guardian and named him Blocking Your View.

I made him just for this event so I could see my character while jumping through the other 4-5 large characters.

I find it ironic there are a ton of videos on youtube with people doing the puzzle with their inventory screens blocking their view, and yet people complain my Charr’s body is the sole reason they cannot complete the tower.

I find it ironic that people can make a perfect score on the SATs and yet others still can’t get above 2000.

Then again there are bots that can record your movements, then you play them back and they will effectively run the entire tower even if your inventory is blocking the WHOLE screen.

I won’t lie it was a little difficult doing this puzzle with larger toons, but it was not their fault. It took awhile to for me to focus on what I was doing and to stop watching EVERYTHING going on around me. It was stupid mistakes on my part that caused me to fail at this jumping puzzle.

But I eventually managed to finish the puzzle with the help of a Norn nice enough to show me where I kept slipping off and what to do toward the end. (It was that half cog after you jump down) I did some kidding with the Charr and Norn toons around me, but not once was I hateful or mad at them.

As others have said it is easy to blame this or that when you are frustrated, after 100+ tries I finished.

Oh and for those who have not finished the puzzle, if you are an Ele I sugguest changing your traits to air and using air signet for the speed boost.

I tried doing this with my thief but speed boost wouldn’t hold. How do you make it hold with your elementalist?

Make the largest Charr/Norn for the jumping puzzle

It is much easier and you do not get stuck on objects like you do with smaller characters.

You do not lose track of your character.

You do not get stuck trying to jump over some bricks.

You do not get stuck on the gears.

You can see your character 100% of the time!

I made the largest Charr I could just for this event and passed it easily. Found a lot of jumps I would get snagged on with smaller characters.

i’m an asura (and actually the shortest an Asura can be, my height slider is waaaay down) and when i mess up, its not the norn or charr in front of me who’s at fault. i’ve gotten really far up, so i’m the last man standing.. and trust me.. when i screw up its because i’m jumping bad >.< or letting myself get distracted. Nahlx is totally right, minimising chat helps loads. You’d be surprised how often your yes flick over to peek at chat without meaning to…. and you mess up because of just that tiny fraction of a second distraction.

wait, so your chat flickering completely messes you up but 3 giant norns and charr blocking your view is not an issue?

you can turn off your UI as well. That will knock out any chat or flashes on your screen.

small character with large characters blocking the view is an actual issue.

It becomes a major issue with 3-4 large characters are all jumping at the same time throwing everyone else off because they can not tell where their character is due to the camera bobbing all over the place due to poor mechanics.

Your character is not in a stationary location with regards to your camera. Zoom in and out or have your camera collide with obstacles and your character can be a few steps in either direction. Without being able to see where your character is in relation to the camera which is constantly moving, it becomes a complete mess.

PS, it’s a lot easier to turn off chat than to turn off other characters blocking your view.

How do people complain about this? They designed an awesome, hard but TOTALLY fair puzzle.

Entitlement in gaming is really really sad these days.

only it’s not when you have 3 giant Charr blocking your view

Its not what? Fair? You realize EVERYONE has those 3 giant Charr blocking view right?

Good players adapt.

My adaption, making a giant charr myself and blocking everyone elses view so I can see where I am jumping. Named her Blocking Your View

I would like the clock tower to be a solo puzzle, would solve most issues people have.

Other than that I don’t mind the difficulty as such: persevere or not, it’s entirely up to you and how you feel about it.
Since it doesn’t effect anything else, I don’t mind that it’s harder than most other things so far (if not all…).

I understand people not liking it, but I don’t mind it being what it is: a tough challenge.

As I said: would have been fairer for all if it was solo, that’s my only issue.

The biggest challenge to the puzzle is the constantly mess of 10 other players blocking your view.

Every time I have gotten near the top has been because there were a small amount of people or they died off quickly at the start.

There is no way Anet can safely make content that caters to every single person who wants to play in every part of the world. It’s just impossible. So your solution is because maybe 1% of the players are in this situation the rest shouldn’t be able to have a go at it is basically what you’re saying.

I would love for ANet to show us what percent of players actually completed this at least once. Somehow I bet it’s more than 1%.

You spent four hours trying to do something you obviously weren’t having fun with.

Why would you do that?

because we don’t know what the prize is for completing the holiday achievement.

You could have asked someone who has done it, or did some research. The Clock Tower achievement doesn’t count toward Emissary, and doesn’t get you any extra rewards.

Even so… if you’re not having fun, why continue?

oh hell no, I just recalled out and will never bother with it.

way to make this 100% easier.

Your character = normal size.

Everyone else = miniature versions of their characters.
