Ok, tried everything I can think of including searching Google and these forums…. my friend’s World Map Legend is not appearing. Makes it kind of difficult trying to complete a map area if we have to manually search to see what he still needs to accomplish.

Checked Settings (all tabs), run finger across every key while in map view, compared his settings to mine (looked good).

Can someone please tell me how to get his map legend back, please?

Searched for “rename”, “renaming”, “character rename” and got nothing so…

Is there a kit or something else that will let me rename my toon? Got the girl EXACTLY like I want her and don’t want to risk attempting to duplicate.

I have GW2. Looking to buy it as an early Xmas gift for my bro to take advantage of the Dig Deluxe Black Friday promo. How do I do it via GW2’s online purchase site when it asks for my name and CC#? It also asks for the email – can I put his email account on the form and put everything else as my name? If I do that – will Anet keep calling him my name on his account settings?

Was looking for a gift option, but I do not see one…

Someone please help me soon as the promo ends tomorrow!

So, my next question is: when does the 4 hour countdown start?

When I buy it?
When I equip it?
When I get it in a trade (don’t know if you can trade them)

Kind of feel let down in that I could easily obtain a Gingerbread Shield or Candy Cane Sword and use it all year round in GW1. Looking at my current GW2 playing habits, it doesn’t feel like I’m going to be carrying anything beyond a small set of barely visible horns away from this event. Shame, because I love GW holidays.

So, quick question…

When I go to buy The Crossing or the Arachnophobia bow, it shows ‘4 hours’.

Does this mean that if I buy it, it will only last 4 hours and I can’t keep using it through the year?

And also my toon swimming away from the corpse and the Arc Lightning fizzling in my face and generally being annoying.

Thought I would post a couple pics to show my toon running away having killed the target a long time ago but still shooting lightning behind me at a corpse in the distance.

I’m writing to let you know that in some instances, my Elementalist’s Arc Lightning (#1 skill in Air Attunement, Main Hand) continues on for over a minute after I have killed the target. I realize that it is a 5 second timed/channeled skill (meaning that it will continue until the progress bar has reached the end), but sometimes it keeps going when the enemy is dead and I’ve run for 30 seconds and have had no subsequent combat.

Examples include both serious combat situations and, my sadistic personal favorite, when I go bunny thumping. The poor Rabbit gets fried instantly, but the lightning keeps going and going until I join combat later (sometimes over a minute later).

If the target is well out of visual range, the lightning just continues to flare directly in front of my toon while I run or, if I’m still within visual range, the lightning blazes between me and the target no matter how many hills are between us (going through said hills). While this has created many humorous comments from my party members of “Stop killin’ the Bunny!” or “He’s Dead, Jim!”, I think there might be a bug that prohibits Arc Lighting from ending when it should.

Ok, so not being a frequent User of these forums, what do I need to do NOT to get ‘infracted’…. could a mod let me know what I was infracted for?

I haven’t signed into the game for about a week, but when I did so tonight, I was surprised to see my account name has been changed from Chlamydia to Mach.Lady. I’ve used Chlamydia since the first betas and never had a problem and I use it in several other games as well. It’s not any of my character names, it’s just my account name on the forums. Also, my char names are all the same as they were and the inventory seems to be ok for each one.

My initial worry is that someone besides Anet changed my account. Could someone in Anet please confirm or deny that part? I have not received any email or forum notice that Anet did it – nor was there a notification upon logging in tonight.

I’m trying to figure out why one of my characters (Sylvari Ranger) did not get his HoM portal stone like my other toons did. Is there something specific a Sylvari has to do or a point they have to get past before he gets one? He’s higher than level 10 so I’m wondering if it’s a bug.
