I want to be able to strap explosives to the enemy yak in WvW so that if the other team doesnt disarm it before it hits the supply camp or keep it will explode and take out all of the supply along with it. LOL

+1, as someone who started the game at release, quit and came back to give it another try a short time later, I agree with pretty much everything you said. There really needs to be some type of progression content as well rewards to match, if you have a dedicated group clearing harder than normal content they deserve to be rewarded with loot that is better than average. If they are going to have legendary weapons in the game they need to actually be legendary, difficult to obtain with stats higher than any other weapons in the game and not something you can craft or purchase.

I just hope that they never entertain the though of a cross server LFG tool or flying mounts. I played WoW for about 5 yrs and those two additions really put a nail in the coffin for the community

Thanks for having me in the guild [CYN], this is exactly the type of guild I was looking for. It’s been a blast so far and i’m looking forward to more fun and guild events.

yes they do, quite a few MMO’s actually. WoW it used to be a certain number of days and now it’s a free trial to level 20 with some restrictions. I’ve been trying to get some people to give GW2 a try it would just be easier to do with a trial period. Guess i’ll have to watch for another free weekend

I have a few WoW friends that said they would be interested in trying GW2 but they all ask me if there is a free trial period where they can try the game and see if it’s something they would be into before going out and buying it. I’m sure it’s been suggested before but why not have a limited free trial available anytime rather than once every 6mo or so?

ok so after a few days of playing I have to say I’m enjoying playing this game, it could be that I havent been playing WoW for awhile and I’m not so used to doing things a certain way so I’m having an easier time adapting than I was before. I havent joined any guilds yet, I’ve decided to just run solo for now plus sometimes guild chat gets distracting.

thanks for the feedback, I’ll see how it goes. I guess I’m just itching for some RPG. I had been DM’ing a D&D 4th edition (yes I know..pathfinder was much better) but the group kinda fell apart, I let my WoW sub expire just before MoP release so i figured may as well give GW2 another try.

@Tolmos, i’m also on Tarnished Coast

Based on all they hype and previews I bought GW2 on release day, I really enjoyed it at first but I felt totally lost. I came from playing WoW since BC and GW2 was so unlike what I was used to. I played for about a month or so and for whatever reason I just lost interest, maybe because I was just still feeling like I didnt understand what was going on in the game. I got the solo questing stuff, pretty much the ususal RPG grind, go to area X and kill X number of things but beyond that I felt like I was just running in circles back and forth between completing a quest and some dynamic event. I never tried any of the group things, never ran any dungeons and even if I wanted to I had no idea how to get a group.

I guess that I was just comfortable with the structure in WoW and I knew how everything worked and what to do, buying and selling on the auction house, getting into or starting a guild, professions, instances ..etc. and with GW2 I was constantly wondering “where the hell am I? how do i get gear? where am I supposed to go?” and a ton of other questions. As far as dungeons, from what i was reading at the time even the low level dungeons were so difficult that people were just giving up even trying to complete them.

I’ve been away from GW2 for months so last night I decided maybe I’ll give it another try, I downloaded patches for about 3 hrs and started a Norn Warrior. I got about 3 levels and so far it’s going ok but I still have that feeling of being lost but hopefully that will change. My other problem was the log in authorization, every time I have to log in I have to go to my email and authorize it. I tried setting it to remember without authorization but all I got by doing that was a fail message, it’s pretty irritating
