I’m lookin to learn COE if any runs of that are going down let me know!
thank you for the tips I appreciate it
any tips on what to dodge on the last boss? hes the one who gets me the most
Ok so an update.
I have went with a lot of the advice going DPS instead. Works a ton better on the acolytes/thegateroom. Never dropping on those anymore.
I am now using the build suggested above of
20/25/0/10/15
with GS and Axe/Mace
skills FGJ, On my Mark, Shake it Off (they had suggested frenzy but I already feel I was dying too much and to conditions often)
I now have a full set of serker and a full set of Knight’s
While my DPS increased a ton and being able to survive parts I had issue with previously, im having new issues now.
I play in strictly random public games (never have joined a full serker crew mainly due to still feeling inexperienced)
I now die often on the first boss and the final boss.
Is it because we are not high enough DPS and not killing it fast enough? Often I feel like I am taking the aggro of the group and Im dying on the first boss generally when his buddy comes over to help and will get hit with pretty big damage + conditions.
I am just kind of wondering if it is a problem with me playing bad (im admittedly a pretty bad dodger) or if this build/gear does not work well with pugs?
I even tried full knight’s and mixes of knight/serker but these issues happen a lot. To where I am dropping on the first boss pretty often and almost every time ill drop at least once on the final boss.
Kinda just wondering how much of this is me playing bad and how much is lack of a proper group and looking for any tips that can help me stop dropping while keeping up DPS.
I just hit 80 on my necro and have awful gear.
I don’t have a ton of gold so I am wondering 2 questions,
How do you Condition Damage / Precision/ Tough gear
From what I know, dungeons and wvw trader? you cant buy it for gold?
also,
what kind of budget gear should I get in the meantime to substitute for rabid stats?
thank you
great idea! id join u guys – hard to ‘learn on the go’
thank you for the advice,
yea i am very new to the game so still doin bad stuff i guess lol
started doing this run a bit. (all public games)
warrior/gs/using banners+shakeitoff – half berserker armor / half AC gear (all i have atm)
running 10/0/30/30/0
Sometimes it goes super smooth and I am never close to dying. but I have been finding myself dying at the stage of killing the acolytes sometimes (often when flamethrower follows me/too many mobs get on me)
and sometimes I die in the gate area. Always when 4-7 mobs get on me and gate dps is a bit slow. (doesnt it start 3 per area? what makes more come?)
Any tips on these areas? I read all the time about people full serker gear stomping through this, but even with a defensive build I still die more than Id like.
I find I survive with healshouts, but banners seem more beneficial to the group.
any tips? Obviously I could wear tankier gear, but I’m already not super high dps to begin with

you HAVE TO mention you are a noob or they are going to assume you arent.
i dont mind playing with people who havent done a dungeon but it is really annoying when they just come in and start doing random stuff without talking to anyone first
Re: fractal relic numbers
I am not positive but I thought I got both 15 relics for a run at lvl 1 and at level 3? do they spike up at certain levels?
-To Gain my personal level, do I have to play at or above what my personal level is? ie I am level 5 if I play level 1 do I go to 6 or stay at 5?
-I know the rewards are supposed to increase with level, is this chance at gear? or do you get more fractals? Like I got 15 fractals for completing level 1, will level 6 give me more than 15?
-I know that agony starts at level 10. But you cant get the ascended item without pristine fractals – so how do I get agony resistence before level 10 so that Im prepared? Something with the backpiece from the store?
thats all for now any other things you could clear up would be great
ty!
Ive heard people say you only need to hit them once. But I feel constantly when I hit something once, I’ll see the hit number but when it does no XP and no loot.
Is it about % of damage you did? Or x number of hits?

Is there a way to find which servers are more active at nighttimes (12:25am here) because a lot of zones are dead because of people sleeping. Is there a way to tell how many people are on a given server at a moment so I can guest somewhere more populated?
Hey new to the game here,
Im just wondering if getting to 400 in a crafting skil is profitable? Or what is the benefit? Saving money on items?
Or does everyone just end up getting all their gear from the TP / Mystic forge / Dungeons / etc?
I want to get into the crafting but just wondering what the reward is
Noob here,
I see how transmuting works but where do you find these cool looking weapon skins? or armor?
Do you actually save up and buy the weapon that looks a way you want and then transmute it? Or is there a cheaper way if you only care about the look and not the stats?
New player here,
They seem really coveted, what is the main things you make with them/use them for?
Also, same Q with Karka Shells.
Thanks
^^ thanks for the detailed response
Forgive me I am a noob to MMOs and GW2 but I was wondering if someone could tel me more about these.
How many are there? Where are they? How often do they run?
and they give guaranteed rare if you are level 40+?
any other info would be great thank you
to add my server is : Ehrmy Bay
and I am more of a PVE player and would like to try some dungeoning out
This is my first MMO (Charr Warrior) and have just gotten to level 30 going through my story mode, and kind of just aimlessly going places etc but am not sure how to proceed. Getting bored of solo-ing everything.
Looking for a guild that is friendly to noobs and can show me the ropes about what kind of stuff I should be doing from this point on.
Any help would be appreciated
gotcha thanks for the responses
Hey new to the game just reached level 20 and got ‘moved’ to the new area for my level.
But re: crafting, my craft skills still require stuff like Jute, Copper, and for insignias things like vial blood, tiny totem, tiny scale etc
so my question is can I still get this stuff in the new zones against level 20 enemies? Or did I level up too slow and that stuff is better to get in my starting zone?
i noticed how the mines are now iron things but a lot of my craftable items requiree copper.
So I guess im wondering, should I be staying in the low zone to grind this stuff? Or will higher enemies drop this stuff at just as good or better rate?
thank you and apologize for my noobness
