I’m embarrassed for Anet. This move is, I though, below them and a greedy money-grabbing tactic I’d expect to see in a much less prestigious MMO company.
It’s shameful for Anet and really degrading to their name and the company I thought they were.

Is everyone at Anet so busy working on the next (imo) boring and repetitive Living Story content update that no one was available to simply design a couple of NEW armor skins?

check the polling rate of your mouse; for some reason GW2 can’t handle a high polling rate in some cases. I was having drops in fps from 100+ down to single digits on totally empty maps. reduced the polling rate on my mouse to 125 and lag has completely disappeared.

My normal fps is around 160 when playing and whenever i turn the camera or even move my mouse over the gw2 screen…fps would drop to 1-5 fps. after a lot of trouble shooting and driver updates i found what the issue was. Polling rate for my mouse was set to max (500). I turned it down to 125 and the lag has completed stopped and my fps is stable again. hope this helps someone as it took me days to figure this out and i’ve seen a lot of posts around other forums about this same issue

windows 7 64 bit.
site broken for about 2 months for me on firefox, chrome and IE9
updated all browsers, updated java and flash, added site to exception list on all browsers, disabled popups and antivirus, flushed dns, still getting garbled site.

this would be awesome.
I can’t tell you how many times i’ve had someone ask…“is that Twilight” and “is that Sunrise”…makes me wonder why i went through the trouble of making 2 legendaries to have eternity when it looks just like an ordinary legendary.

If arenanet actually cared about their players they would have a poll on this. But they’re too stubborn to realize 90% of their player base doesn’t want this but they’re going to force it down our throats.

I, for 1, am looking foward to the update and i’m sure there are many others (more than 10% as you stated); just seems the people who don’t want it (for some reason I cannot understand) are much more vocal about it.

i have the same issue; only need some obsidian shards to finish twilight. whiteside ridge server balthazar event has never worked to my knowledge.

how many attempts and did you use rare or exotic? i’ve put 300 rare lv 80 greatswords in the forge this week alone and still no luck.

Over the last week i have put approximately 300 rare greatswords (all lv 80) in the forge trying for dusk/dawn. about 1/5 i get an ordinary exotic, the rest just more rares. still no precursor, the chance for these must me rediculously low.
