Last night, i and a friend (a friend and i, w/e) were trying tunneling services…
I was trying Ping Zapper, and he wtfast…
Both work pretty well for us, with only one downside in each software:
Ping Zapper: on a trial acc you can play for 1 hour, the get kicked to the caracter selection. But you can reactivate the tunnel and get back in the game in no time
WTFast: 1 month free trial.
For the meantime, while the problem is fixed (anet figure it out what is the problema, aquaman fixes the fiber lines under the ocean or w/e the problem is) this is a nice and easy way to solve the lag issue…
Hope everyone can try those and get some kind of solution

It started on July 1st, the not so secret puzzle pirate bandit thing day.
Having 2-3 seconds lag when casting skills and gathering, from time to time the lag is even worse.
Sometimes, its not like im freeze, computer crash, this program is not responding… its like, my character is just standing there but the animations are still running and then… kicked to the character selection Screen.
When i have inet problems, it doesnt kick me to the selection screen, so its a different problem…
Opened a ticket yesterday, just to get the same pre recorded answer “hey, its your isp fault, not ours”

I submited a ticket, and get the same pre recorded message as a friend…
“lag issue ticket? * scroll scroll scroll * ctrl c + ctrl v My job is done”
Yeah, im going to open a ticket and ask for a refound…
Hey guys just an update:
Our Network Engineering Team has thoroughly investigated this issue and we have been unable to find anything that would indicate that this is an issue on our end. This does appear to be a widespread issue in the Latin American region which spans multiple countries and so I would recommend getting in contact with your ISP to see if there is anything on their end that can be done to alleviate some of this lag.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience and frustration this may have caused you all but unfortunately there isn’t anything that we can do in this particular case as it appears to be affecting multiple games and multiple ISP’s within this region.
Translation:
We cant find where we screw things up, or how to fix this…
So, can you go and complain with someone else?
Keep playing this game and spending money on the Gem Store…

Very, very convenient… i work in IT, network mainteinance and stuff, and it really dosnt make sense that i can use every other inet service (navigation, download, upload , streaming even playing other games) without latency issues
Ms Ashley Segovia, if your Network People says that there is no problem on your side, WE, the Latin America Community call that desicion a BS conclusion…

Hello guys! Probably some of you still have some problems with lag. Well I had that same problem, but a few days ago I opened a ticket and they started to help me. I did a lot of tests, system upgrades, some changes in my files and msconfig, and now I dont have any problem.
I was playing with 500ms when I had that lag, and now I’m playing with 130ms. I dont know if your problem is same as mine but I recommend open a ticket and follow their instructions.
I tested playing both PVE and PVP, and I got 130-150ms without any tunnel service during a high populated hour
I’m in Brazil and now I’m playing better than ever. I hope you guys can solve your problem as well. Good Luck and keep cool!
If i used to play with good latency, and suddenly start to experience horrible lag spikes and even disconnects without making any modification to my system, i dont see how making changes to the windows config, system files, registry or anything that involves my OS configuration would solve the problem…
I DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING IN ORDER TO GET THIS LAG! (all rage caps RAWR!)
Its different if they say “Yeah, we change some configuration in our port forwarding” or some savy tech kittenty excuse and we need to change some configuration on our operative system, but ANET is saying nothing on this regard

This post has been been up for almost an entire month concerning this issue. Why hasn’t Arena Net given us one idea to what could be causing this? I know this can be a complicated issue, but asking for one plausibility and how they think fixing it will happen is not asking for too much considering a month has past with no real response except asking for diagnostic reports. Have you concluded officially that it is not a server problem? Are you definite it is our computers or our ISP? We need to hear from you Arena Net, otherwise you’re gonna have a lot of people quitting the game simply because it’s become unplayable.
For some os us, its already unplayable…
I dont only have 2-3 secs lag spikes, but suddenly the game just… freeze? stops? I dont mean “the program has stop responding”, but my character only stand there, channeling something forever and then… DISCONNECT! kicked to the character selection screen only to log back and find out im dead and have to pay repair
I really love gw2, its a fresh take of air considering im comming from 6 years of playing wow… but this, this is unbeareable
And the worst is, ANET is not even telling us that they are trying to fix this issue
I honestly expect that withe the deploy of the new patch, anet give a ninja solution to the lag issue

Since the deployment of the latest patch having 3-4 seconds delay, and this weekend i even have disconnects, kicking me to the character selection screen
Im a new player (bought my acc 1 month ago), just get to lvl 80 and eager to do dungeons and buy gems from the store… but i cant even kill random mobs with this latency
At least they can give to us some news about whats going on, even a “yeah, we screw over something and still trying to figure it out how to fix this” just to let us know that they hear (or read) the player base

Since the latest patch, i have the same lag problem… and is not my isp, since i can play other games (lol and wow) without any latency issue, and my download and upload are just fine.
Im a fresh 80 (bought the game 1 month ago, hit 80 today yay!) but i cant run dungeons or WvW with this problem
