That was just the first part to the story, Destiny’s Edge are being set up to be the main characters. Dungeon Story Mode and Personal Story Mode will just get more and more closely linked.
will the ascended gear really be that much better even though they wont be able to stack sigil buffs?
I am completely excited about it. It sounds like a blast. Beyond the bugs, I love the current dungeons to pieces. I can’t wait to delve as deep as I can into the Fractals.
All of these angry posts about a persons first time fighting something and demanding a nerf are beyond old. ASK FOR ADVICE > ASK FOR NERF. As much as there are people out there who immediately give up, there are even more people out there who are willing to help and bring suggestions to the table. I wish I could see this change happen in the forums. Every dungeon is possible to complete at this point, the only things hindering players from beating them beyond experience, are bugs, and ANet is fixing them.

In my book they should give us a waypoint directly in front of every boss but lock them all while the boss fight is still going on. So we have really short ways to travel but can’t corpse run the boss.
I agree, More waypoints would be nice, I just hate zerging/corpse running bosses. I feel it defeats the purpose of a dungeon boss. I feel so cheap when I end up doing it.
Thanks for the feedback, I have not tried again since the initial defeat, but it is very nice hearing that people are able to clear it. I look forward to trying again using the advice given!
Indeed, you did not say that. My mind just goes there naturally, because that is what it looks like is needed.
The people who have posted about beating it say they have used at least 3 “tanky” individuals to “zerg” through. I just don’t consider it acceptable. The trinity is no longer supposed to exist yet people are suggesting you need at least 3 “tanky/bulky” individuals.
Zerging is just foul. Its failing repeatedly until the game just lets you pass. I should be able to beat a dungeon with NO Zerg elements.

Dungeons are supposed to be doable with a group of any five people, as long as they support each other and work as a team. Or so I thought. Maybe ANet is moving from that philosophy.

Yes one shouldn’t have to do this but if you really need to do the path before the next fix…
Thank you for admitting this. All of the people who have done this suggest ways in which death is a factor. There should be a way to do this without guaranteed death. To me there is something about clearing a dungeon without dying once that really makes me feel as though I beat it.

I was under the impression(I can tell that you are too) that Dungeons should be doable by any group of individuals, as long as they can use teamwork. Your strategy is the epitome of said teamwork, but limited to those builds of those characters.
I love the dungeons so much. My guild works very well together, we all team constantly and run everything, and we cannot make it past the deluge of mobs on this particular path. I feel like something is being missed in the execution of this first part and I am just not seeing it.
It was announced, in the mysterious ANet Way that the grenadiers had been sent back and in more respectable numbers. I attempted the run last night with my guild, Killed the first group and went to the first boss. 10 minutes down the line there were 9 of the larger Engineer patrols. I am not sure if this is how it is supposed to be, or if they have not truly fixed it. Tried the Kiting method, to no avail, still 9 of the Engineer patrols. Does any one have advice, are we too slow in moving forward?
We are still recruiting Members! We are on daily. Our focus is still largely PvE. Anyone interested is welcome.

Engineer kits in general are not that amazing but 3 of them are completely unusable.

I am absolutely in love with everything engineer. So many options and wonderful for people who are ADD.
The conditions stack so well between kits. The mobs i fight are always poisoned bleeding and on fire. I almost feel evil…almost. Open with my pistol, bleed em a bit, shoot out the electric shot, get em a lil confused. Toss my shield at them to interrupt them and confuse them some more. Put on incendiary shot to get the bleed back on, plus a burn. Switch to the flamethrower, knock back the enemies who think they are clever and getting close, shoot out and napalm blast to giggle, burn em with fame jet, through down the flame wall, switch to elixir gun. Shoot in blast elixr to get a burning shot combo over and over again. lob in the cripple and speed up, move in close with fumigate, and jump back with acid bomb. BACK TO PISTOL shot in poison darts to get em nice and sick. Summon Grenade kit, through out the frost grenade slow em down and poison em again.
I could go on and on. But each Kit has its niche, They are meant to be used together, and not one be all powerful. I don’t follow that exact pattern everytime, but for situations that get sticky and I can’t, there are other utilities at my disposal. Smoke vent to give me an extra moment to get away from mobs that are overwhelming me. Smoke grenade for the same reason. Or even toss in a smoke grenade to protect your melee buddies when you know a boss is about to do one of their more deadly attacks.
I can not agree with sentiment that any of the kits are useless. By themselves, maybe, but they are not meant to be used by themselves. Switch, change and go with the situation. Engineer can do it all.
