same problem.. majorly effecting playability of game

And no, for those of you who care I didn’t play the amount of games I’ve played over this very sad christmas break because i want virtual armor. I play, because i love this game and i love the community. let’s fix the basic things that need to be fixed so we don’t lose all of the player base to possum crap.

On a side note, i think you should add cash rewards to the top leaderboard spots

I play tpvp and i can’t see the enemy model character animations because the splatter is too big from GS. I’m in GS about 80% of the time, so it’s very frustrating.

Everything is on the lowest setting and I don’t have the Extra Effects box checked.

Is there anything else I can do?

Totally agree with this! It drives me nuts.

There are a lot of people who love this game.. But I’ve never heard of game retaining players with 1 – 2 “balance patches” a year.

The quotes are there because it is inevitable that a huge balance patch will over-shift certain skills, one way or another.

And then again. We will have to wait 6 months for another “balance patch”.

yeah duelist is heart and soul of build. 5 – 7 bleeds per unload and it’s unloading 20% faster

Yeah I’m sure. Now is it the intent of Anet to have it this way or just a bug, i’m not so sure., but it unfortunately definitely doesn’t stack.

I can’t remember if it stacked pre-patch. Does anyone remember if it did?

i’ve run this build and just a side not. celerity doesn’t stack with the duelist and chaotic dampening to make it 40% faster recharge on phantasm production. i know the duelist is still on a 16 s cd with 1 or both traits.

Which is why a lot of people just forgo the bottom 20 and put them some place else – tho the bugged phantasmal haste does happen to work for these 2 phantasms and these 2 phantasms only.

On builds, I still honestly think 20/25/0/25/0 phants is the best build around. add in centaur runes and portal and it has great mobility. weaknesses = condis and thieves opening on you, but the burst is insane.

I’ve been playing with some PU builds for fun in competitive tpvp and solo and do find that it has a specific purpose (back point, 2v2’s and even 3v3’s on occasion). there also seems to be a lot of variety on builds (tho i think 0/20/30/20/0 is most common) which at least gives us some space to experiment a little.

i’ve been trying to implement the signet and find PU to be the only build that you can get away with it (at top levels).

Honestly I’ve had the same problem… I top level tPvp and have recently switched over to Traveller runes to make room for the new signet (can’t pop heals every 20 secs). Honestly, the increased output of dmg from the signet makes up for the lack of desired stats on the traveller runes. not to mention you’ll never be screwed over with a gank while your heal is down, which is nice.

healing signet is an essential healing skill that keeps warriors alive.
otherwise they drop like paper dolls.

Paper dolls? you clearly don’t play any other classes.

a bunker warrior is basically unkillable 1 v 1. in solo q’s that means not only is it tough to kill, but it takes more than one person focusing it to take it down. Even if there’s enough focus to take him down, that leaves players on the other side 25 seconds or so of free casting while a team tries to take down a bunker warrior.

healing signet becomes absurd when it heals through 100% of auto attacks.

Just looking at people being able to write paragraphs on the subject, shows how much we care about the game. Honestly, I love playing this game and am so frustrated to see how imbalanced things get for extended periods of time.

Can new people stop complaining about mesmers. I was one of two mesmers in the entire mlg tournament. the recent vvv tourney I assume only had 1 mesmer. at top levels, mesmers are very underrepresented. so please please please, can new players stop complaining about mesmers simply because they havent played long enough to tell a very mechanical looking clone from the real thing?

but it also has a 25 second cd, which makes it’s versatility somewhat limited.

Personally, I think the 1 second cooldown on the curtain last patch screwed over focus. I’m a top ranked mesmer and have forfeited focus in favor of pistol and centaur runes… Focus does allow you to go something besides centaur, so it gives you options on runes, but overall that 1 second cd on the curtain makes dodging the pull very easy for top level players.

Just a good mesmer looking for a good team.

The thing you may be missing, is making sure to get that mirror images in there for an even bigger burst.
What I do is 3 clone mind wrack on the blurred frenzy, then as I’m blurred frenzying, I mirror images into cry of frustration. This hits ppl really hard… The only problem is you’re gustos lost for a little while after this.

There should be 0 chance of you 2 v 1ing with shatter, unless you are playing terrible players.
In fact, despite what some people say, shatter is not dominant 1v1.
Shatter’s strength lies in its burst and utility (illusion of life, portal, etc…)
