Have you tried logging back in with your standard character? I believe if you log back into your standard character, that you will still be back at your previous place in the reward track, since making a BWE char only duplicates your previous stats from that point and then diverges from there.
You don’t keep any rewards gained on beta characters. Though if you log into a standard character, your reward track will be right where it was before you played a beta character. Got an arah armor box on my revenant, then switch to thief and got it.

So, i was excited to try out the thief DD and quickly jumped into a match, we won and i had forgotten that i was at the end of the reward track (citadel of flames) and got the armour box.
I can’t switch to another character to claim the chest as them, i can’t put in the bank as it shows up as if i didn’t put it in there.
Does this mean that it will just be deleted when the beta is over and i missed the reward just because i was on the beta character for one match ?
Erm..I am just jumping in to say that it is only 1 character you need to reach lvl 60 with, then it is unlocked account wide(which only means 1 more character as they can only have 2)
I am doing the mission, where you go to investigating the camp for clues about Syska, i am told to go to the battleground, there are only 2 friendlies there, and they don’t do anything.
I thought it was a bit weird, when seeing the enemy army and we had nothing, it was hard but i still killed them, it was not until my character said “was that Destiny’s Edge” that i knew something was wrong.
I have tried to restart the mission, but it is the same.
I am just wondering if at the next expansion it will be the same, where people who own it has to pay 50$ again and new player will get base Guild wars 2 and HoT + the new expansion for 50$.
Keep in mind that new accounts will be missing the living story. Assuming 2-3 seasons per expansion, those that end up getting HoT for free will end up having to pay the price of HoT anyways if they want the full experience.[/quote]
That just sucks for me, since i have been away on holidays or dug in schoolwork whenever the living story was there and only did very few things in either of them, never got to do any of the major things

There is always risks, i know a ton of people buying stuff of G2A and i think only one time have they not gotten a key, then they contacted support and got a new one, agreed these are not G2A and there is propably a higher risk in buying from here than G2A, there is just always risk.
But i know people with good experiances from Kinguin too, it is not like you buy here and 50% of all keys are not gonna work :P ofcourse it come down to the seller, so maybe looking up reviews for the sites is not a bad idea at all.
All i can say is go for whatever you feel comfortable with
Problem is if it is PREORDER than you may not get the char slot(s) or any other of the extras for free that is in the different versions. If it is PREPURCHASE than you still may not get it depending on WHERE you buy it.
Buying it directly from ANet gives you the option of support helping you with problems with keys and whatnot. Buying it from someplace else you just may be SOL if the key comes back as stolen and then you have a banned account.
And then if it is a PREORDER that is a boxed edition and then what about the shipping costs if there is any …..
Me? I play enough that it was worth it for me to buy the Ultimate edition from them. My other half on the other hand has no time to play so has not bought the HoT expansion yet. Not that he doesn’t want to buy and play it’s just that with work AND the plays that we do at one of the community theatres around here AND the stage combat classes he teaches AND etc. that he just has no time left right now to play.
Well you will get the character slot, all players who own the core Guild wars 2 and buys and registers the Heart of Thorns expansion before its release will get the extra character slot.
About it may not work, there is always that chance with online key sides, some have good reputations and some have bad, but no matter what there is always a chance that it doesn’t work + some of those site do have support (propably not as good as Anet’s but still there)
Also all the options are digital there is no boxed editions, it is all keys, so i understand not buying it there if you want it physicaly
And ofcourse if you wanna buy it from the official sites, then go ahead, this is just for the people who might not have much money or just looking for a cheaper price

There has been alot of a debate on the forums about the price for Heart of Thorns if is worth it or not, i am not gonna get into that, but i wanna share with you places or rather a list of places that sell it as low as 35$/31€/23£
There are 2 links, a EU list and a US list, this does not mean that they are restricted to that region (look if there is a little EU flag next to the green arrow pointing down to see if it is region locked to europe), i have included both since US has a couple of shops the EU doesn’t have but they still sell to EU and vice versa, so just look at both lists
I cannot guarantee that these shops will work, as with online keys there is always the chance that it doesn’t work.
If there is any of the places you have used before and can recommend to other people, then please do.

Dodge Spear of justice -> profit. Thief is class with xxx shadow steps in row.
Ofcourse the easiest thing is to dodge it xD, just the case of not dodging it and with their auto knockback trait they can get on the longbow, they can almost guarantee hitting you.
Also only one of the shadowsteps you can teleport away.
So the Dragon Hunter’s new F1 (Spear of Justice) throws a spear, that tethers you and applies burning for 10 seconds.
What the problem or the annoyance is gonna be for theifs fighting Dragon hunters is gonna be, is the giant chain linked from him to you and will as far as i understand, make stealth useless, as he is gonna be able to see exactly where you are because of the chain attached to you.
Since it is not a condition you can only remove it by going out of its reach (which is 900 right now and might be changed)
Yesterday i hit the 2500 point mark, but i still have not recieved it, i still have the same amount of laurels and gold as before.
I still have the 2000 point chest sitting and waiting to be opened, do i need to open that chest before the 2500 will pop up or should it just be besides the 2000 point chest ?
I just have a quick question about the sigil of torment, as it says:
50% chance on critical hit: Apply AoE torment (5 seconds, 180 radius).
(Cooldown: 5 Seconds)
and I was wondering if the AOE is around the target or around the caster.
I can’t test it at all, since there is no Dire amulet in Spvp or rune of tormenting.
It is still a bit experimental, but I really want to hear from experienced players if the build is viable, if there is stuff I can do to improve on it or if it will never work and I should just drop it.

Kind of makes me wonder if anet didn’t intend for Cobalt to be a legendary. Think about it – Ebonblade looks almost exactly the same, but has no flames on it(possible precursor). Cobalt’s effect is similar to those of legendaries imo.
In any case, please don’t get rid off those flames. If you don’t like them, simply apply Ebonblade skin on your weapon.

It is the light, that only the person, that has the sword equipped gets.
The thing is I am very low on Transmutation charges and I Transmuted it from the Ebonblade, and it would be a waste of 2 charges just to get it back to Ebonblade.
That is why I am asking, if anyone knows how to turn the light from it off, since it is a player only thing.
Basically, the light that is cast by Cobalt onto the surrounding area is also visible to nearby players, so it is not just the owner that sees the illumination on the surrounding area.
But it is not visible to other people.
For one, there was no light from my friend’s Cobalt and he says the same when I pull mine out and on the Gw2 wiki it says it is player only too.
“Has a blue fire effect when wielded which produces a glow visible only to the wielder, providing illumination in dark areas.”
So there must be a file there can either be removed or changed to remove this light effect.

I just got the cobalt and I absolutely love the flames, but the light it gives off irritates my eyes, it is a constant bright light on the ground, especially on snow.
It is probably just me being weird about it, but since the light is player only, is there a file or anything I can change to turn it down or off ?
I am kind of going for a bit tanky with the toughness and with crit chance, but I don’t know if 3200 amour is too much and I should more in power or I maybe ferocity, also I would love advice on a good rune for the build.

I am currently leveling up my guardian, and been trying to figure out a Roaming build, for when I hit level 80.
I was fiddling around for some time, trying to precisely adjust amours and trinkets, and after some time I got something I kind of liked, until my friend told me to just go full soldiers gear and trinkets.
after putting it in it seems like overall superior to everything, you have a lot of power, toughness and vitality (of course that is it trades).
But is it really just the best to go full soldiers in everything ?
you get everything you need with it for roaming and it seems like the simplest thing to do.
Just jumping in to say, if you have the program called “Hola” then deactivate it, since it will interfere with the launcher (Making it freeze) and the Trade Post(Making it not wanting to load or crashes your game)
Okay I just found a solution, that hopefully will help some of you.
I have been trying to disable the automatic configuration, but it kept reappearing every time I opened it up to check again, tough after a but of searching around the internet I found out the program “Hola” can actually mess you launcher up, if you haven’t tried it, then try to deactivate Hola or delete it, that fixed the launcher for me.
Time to see if it had any effect on the Trade Post.

This seems to have fixed the Trade post problem as well.
I hope some of you will be able to use this info to get back into GW2
You could also try checking it and clicking apply then unchecking it and clicking apply again… I would just tinker with it like that, best of luck
I read that too in another thread and immediately tried it but to no use.
I hope Arena net will soon find out what the problem is, so we all can get back to playing.
I only got in game because I made a new shortcut to make it skip the login screen, but the TP is crashing me now, even though I tried what they told me to do too :/
