Just started this mission and having this same problem.

So far, every single mission of season 2 ive done has had some bug or another. This is the second one ive had to look up to see if theres another way to do the mission.

Im trying to play the story in order, but at this rate its doubtful im ever actually going to get to the new game content I paid for. Sigh.

This content has been in the game long enough.. AND its paid content. People are paying money for this garbage.

Im well past the point of being able to enjoy season 2 now, I just want to get it done and out of the way.

Bump. Can I please get acknowledgement this has been seen at least?
Im holding off on playing through the rest of the story in the hope this gets fixed. I just want to know if it actually might happen.

OK it has got worse since the last time I logged on. Now only travelling about half distance when caasting vault at max range. Casting with target at less than max range does not help, the character will still bounce of an invisible wall and start travel back towards start point.

Vault, not leaping full distance.

The actual distance my character travels when casting vault falls far short of the indicator.

Details
After a certain distance, it doesnt matter where the skill is targeted, my character looks like it hits an invisible wall in mid air, then either drops straight down or bounces back a little before landing.

The actual distance traveled seems to vary a small amount, but as a general rule, when casting the skill at max range, the distance traveled will be just short of the close edge of the indicator circle. On the occasions where the animation looks like it bounces back a little, the distance traveled will be slightly less again.

After watching streams of players using the skill, it seems inconsistent for them too, but they travel the full range almost every time, while my thief has not yet traveled the full range even once.

The name of the character having trouble is “Nhatek”.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this problem. I love using staff and you did such a great job with all the skills and animations, its just a shame that Im having this trouble since its a little restricting when using staff in PvP. I still use it though, cause I love it

Several bugs/issues with ranger.

Sick em does not work majority of the time. Possibly range
related. Please for the love of Grenth dont let this be an
intended function, it completely breaks what little chance there
is for your pet to chase down a target.

With Action camera on,
Hornets sting and monarchs leap seem to pick random directions
rather than the direction your camera is facing. Mostly it uses
the direction the character is facing at the time, which is
undesireable enough, but sometimes it seems completely random.
If this is not a bug and is an intended mechanic, we need an in depth explanation on how it works. As it stands, it makes sword completely un usable in pvp. Trying to use these skills in combo with about face for mobility now is a nightmare.

Across all my characters
Auto attack stops auto attacking. I cannot see any common factor
to when it stops. Occasionally it will stay active till the
enemy/player dies, but the majority of the time it stops after
1-5 attacks.
As ive said in posts before, my hands dont work very well, so lack of reliable auto attack makes the game borderline un playable for me.

Yes that does help alot, thankyou very much. I actually cant believe I didnt figure that out while i was looking for options.

I would still prefer the option to toggle the mouse button to auto attack, since even using my mouse customising program doesnt allow me to rebind left click. This will tide me over though and I think I can make it work long term if I need to.

Hopefully others see your answer too if they come looking for this option. I know at least one other person whos will most likely try it out now, hopefully others can too

The most anticipated thing for me with this patch was the action camera.
I am disabled and cannot hold a mouse button down for more that a second or two, and constantly clicking is even worse.

I was looking forward to using the new action camera and not having to use a third party program just to be able to play the game.

Mostly the Action Camera seems amazing, but I lose the auto attack function while using it. I cant seem to find any options th t make it work.

Is there an option to make weapon skill 1 still auto attack normally whil in action camera?

If there is not an option for it, could we please get this option for the game?

I know at least 1 other person that would like to play this game but cannot because they are not tech minded enough to set up ICM. The new camera might have mate it possible for them to play as well, but without being able to have auto attack they will still be unable to play.

Thank you so much for the camera mode, if it has this option, or gets this option soon then it would be perfect imo.

Note after using this method to regain access to my pets, I am still having trouble on occasion. One of the pets will unequip itself sometimes. I havnt caught exactly when its happening yet. The first time was when I first logged in for the day. The second time i only noticed when I tried to switch pets after the match had started.

Im now keeping an eye on it, and ill try and catch if it happens when entering or exiting a match, or somewhere in between.

Might pay for ppl to just have a quick look before a match starts to make sure you have 2 pets.

POSSIBLE FIX

I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but:

- Enter any PvP match with your ranger as a spectator
- Spectate another ranger that has access to their pet
- Press “K” to open up pet management and select your two pets
- Enter a match or HotM to check if your pets will be summoned

It seems the issue was that our pets were both removed. Since you can only access the pet management with an active pet(impossible with bug), the only alternative is to spectate another ranger.

Like everyone else, I agree its utterly ridiculous that we needed to figure out how to do this ourselves. Ive been stuck doing bits and pieces trying to learn to use other classes for pvp for over a week, with my main being completely broken.

The mind boggles how Anet are not able to fix this. Whats going to happen to people whos pets get bugged in the future from this bug, once threads like this are dead n buiried. Theres still plenty of ppl oout there missing thier pets Anet. FIX THIS!

My regen seemed to max out at around 1m 40s when I was trying it out. The first few times using heal as one, the uptimes doubled, but then once it reached that point they wouldnt go any higher.

I have no idea haow its supposed to work, just giving a comparrison for the curious.

I have this bug too. No pet at all in any pvp. No pet window opens when pressing K. Its as if pets do not exist when my ranger is in pvp.

Really wish I could be enjoying some of this OPness but without anyone to swap boons with…. sad panda.

I do not have any pets in pvp lobby or spvp. No pet window opens, cannot activate pet at all, no commands, nothing.

Well dang. I just got back into the game with intent to play through all the story I could.
After catching myself up on the story so far with an alt, I switch to my main. I created him specifically to be a duel pistol gunslinger, the only thing I am interested in playing long term in this game.

The first thing I notice, is that Im only hitting one target, so high lvl mobs = death.

If I wanted to play a melee character, Id be playing warrior or guardian. If I wanted to play with a bow, like every other kitten mmo there is, Id play a ranger.

The only thing that made GW2 unique to me was playing my bad kitten duel wielding midget.

I love the GW lore, so maybe Ill try to find another way to stay interested, but its going to be hard when the character I spent literally all my time and resources on is forced to play weapon sets that I have no interest in.

ps. the profanity regs on this forum are archaic.
