yawn…i’m pretty sure they gave up on this. Sadly its just something I’ve let go as never going to happen.

I really wished one Anet dev would have taken it upon himself(herself) to fix this and make sure it was done. Although it’s clear none of them cared enough to take on such a task as it was so low on the totem pole for them.

I mean I completely understand there are other more important things, but really sometimes the small things really do matter too.

I didn’t see it in the feature pack so I figured I’d ask. Will we still have to guest to the server where the guild missions is activated to get credit(guild commendations)? Or can we stay on our home server even though our Guild Mission was activated on another server?

my party dropped back to character select and restarted the dungeon.

This is my build. I mostly do PvE and some WvW Zerging. I run Pvt, armor and celestial trinkets. I mainly use grenades and flamethrower for might stacks and generally fun. Also rifle for the control. I get decent grenade hits and my precision is around 30% so 1 out of three grenades crit. I’ve been using this or similar variations for quite some time now and seems to work well for me. Also, it also works great if you swap to Berserkers gear if you really need to be glass cannon for something.

Simple answer is no it is not on the radar. They only time we are even looked at is when one of the popular classes has trouble killing us in PvP, then we get a nerf.

They’ve posted about legendaries and hobo sacks months ago. Since then they have redone legendaries 2 times, and introduced new ascended weapons. Neither of which benefit the kit engineers.

No mention of anything being worked on or fixed. We were forgotten a while ago and its clear its about time we should start looking for another class, well at least in PvE if we want to use any end game weapon or back pieces because it doesn’t look like its going to be corrected anytime soon.

Also, this is a rant, because its ridiculous at this point.

Once again legendary updates but still no word on any Engineer improvements. Its been 1 year and kit users have only received a nerf when it comes to legendaries.

I also like how Anet has pretty much ignored this post for a while now. Even though this is a major issues for all PVE users of this class. Why even play it if there is no end game gear worth acquiring?

I bet if guardians or warriors had this issue it’d be fixed in a month and Anet would be reminding them every day that it’s being fix right now.

I hate to call Anet out on this, as I feel they have done a really good job at this game and fixing a lot of issues, but it’s coming up on the 1 year anniversary and all they have done is made legendaries worse for us kit users.

Most, if not all of these options require concept artists, model designers, VFX artists and QA testing to refine and implement. While oftentimes they’re busy working on new content for the Living Story and such, they’re also spending a decent amount of time working on other new content – like the Jade Weapon & Aetherized Weapon Skins. From the standpoint of an accounting manager or anyone in charge of finances, I might be more inclined to focus on new content that will help generate revenue (key sales and BLTP purchases), not content that already exists in-game and is ‘good enough’. When enough of the community have these legendaries and the new ones are introduced, ANet will likely have Engineer Legendary weapons, among others, higher on their priority list. At that time we might be fortunate to see some changes in kits when legendaries are equipped.

Honestly I don’t see that as an excuse. They went through the trouble of updating some of the legendaries, they could’ve used that time to fix what was currently broken, AND NOW they are even talking about new legendaries without any mention of ours being changed to actually display when using kits.

We have been waiting patiently for a long time. Some of us were ready months ago. Everytime we mention we are a forgotten class, some dev reminds us that he has an Engy too and is sad, I feel like we are just getting lip service so we are sympathetic. It’s time we started screaming louder than the other classes. For the PvE fans its end game content that we still really can’t use.

Plus they are already talking about adding a new way to get precursors for legendaries, and new legendaries, but they haven’t made any mention in regards to the one class where legendary weapons are almost pointless.

For PvE I mean its pretty much endgame gear. Some of us have been saving up and would really like to use the money on one but why bother when I’ll only see it a small fraction of the time.

This topic needs to stay up top to remind them otherwise this will be last on the list of things when for us PvE’rs this really sucks….

Any new word on this from Anet? I mean seriously. If they come out with a new way to get precursors, but still make them almost pointless for a good majority of engineers I’ll be extremely saddened. I’ve done 2 map completes and sold two legendaries already, I’d really like to make a few for myself now.

Although I agree our down state sucks, you must admit we have Elixer R. Which in a lot of cases is way more helpful than what most classes have.

I’d be afraid if they “fixed” our down skills they’d nerf Elixir R even more. Like half the revive speed or something. In other words be careful what you ask for. (We want weapon sigils!!….“ok….fine…..but take lower damage grenades”)

Plus we all know that know that no one from Anet even bothers to read this forum. Look at how long we’ve needed a fix for Legendaries and backpacks….

Get the achievements off the screen.

Yes but why in previous releases once we completed the achievements the quest went away.

Also is it really needed? They gave us a half done option to disable them. I thought the whole point of giving us the option to disable quest was so we can clear up our HUD of things we possibly don’t care about or already know we need completing.

So why is it they insist of forcing us to still have something there even after we disabled them.

Not sure if it should be posted here, feature requests, or under Bazaar forums. Figured this section gets more visibility though.

Why on Earth do we have an option to disable achievements from the top right of our screen, but you insist on forcing something to be there?

If you are going to give the option to disable them, let them actually be disabled. Half the time I finish my monthly/special event just so i can have a few days of not having it cluttering up the top right of my screen.

Now for the secondary part my issues. What’s up with the Bazaar of the Four Winds achievement in the top right. I have finished everything but I’m assuming since “Frequent Sprinter” is unlimited it will be there for the whole time? Can we please not do that? Some of us really enjoy playing without extra stuff in our HUD.

Also when this section of the Living Story is done is the achievement “Frequent Sprinter” going to stay undone? This will more than likely annoy many of the people who like to finish out their achievements.

P.S. I did a search and didn’t really see anything. Sorry if this has been covered.

Elixir R

I feel like Anet tried to lower the utility effect of this skill to make it less viable in PvP or something and it really crippled it in PvE/WvW. It was always one thing I had as a utility skill on my Engineer because it was always useful, stun break/endurance, plus help with reviving. That is great in PvE. Especially considering our down skills are such a joke in PvE, this was the one thing that compensated for it.

Now that the utility for it is pretty much worthless, endurance regen but with a cast time, it pretty much either waste a utility slot for a tool belt skill or put something else entirely.

Can Anet please really look back at this change in regards to PvE? It really is disappointing.

I still only have the title. No gift, no star.
