5 points in beastmastery is a must. The others really depend on your weapon choice and playstyle.
I agree.
Is it me or rangers do lack in sPVP, espically tPVP.
Since nerf of Spirit build, only roamer works. Other classes fill the role of roamer better
It’s you.
What is the philosophy behind Ranger? Which weapon works best? What build works for sPvP? Should I stick with the group all the time, or go solo like I do with Thief?
A) Damage from Range
B) Shortbow
C) All builds that do damage
D) Group if low skill, roam if high skill
Shortbow until they nerf it. Then FOTM.
Apart from the fact the two classes have NOTHING in common, they are very similar, yes? lol.
Ditch the longbow and max survival. I use a similar build with great sucess as a roamer AND point defender.
It might come as a shocking revalation but a Warrior is a Warrior and a Ranger is a Ranger. The fact they can both use ranged weapons makes them about as similar as a Elementalist and a Guardian, because they can both use melee weapons.
I second DM, its a obvious mode. I guess it wasnt implemented because class imbalances in DM show a lot more then in point cap.
Why do you need a point system? Winner gets 3 points, loser gets 1. In the end, in a team game, contribution is irrelevant.
I have never seen a team game where the scoring system was good and unexploitable. Giving more points to do A will make everybody do A. Usually they do what gives the most points irrespectively of winning, losing, what makes sense etc.
Do it like soccer. One score.
They are fine if you LOVE the GTAOE mechanic. Otherwise they are just finger excercise and just about as fun as it.
