Of course he is. Only people who have 100 + Lis find it normal to ask for 150 Lis with the current way Lis are obtainable.

There are two kinds of people here it seems :

- people who want it to be easy, who don’t want to spend time in order to get their legendary armor : you guys shouldn’t be listened, it has to be hard, it’s a legendary item and not everybody should get it easily. But I get your point, it’s already locked behind collections that a kitten ton of people who raid can’t even complete and asking for tons of Lis doesn’t help.

-people who are near the 150 Lis and don’t want the others to reach it : it’s not because you started raiding early, that you don’t face the problems of pugging raids because you can join high req pugs, that you already have the guild/team to do raids easily every week, that you have to think it’s the same for everyone. I find it completely amazing, that for you, it’s normal to ask someone who just wants to start raiding to get his armor, to do every 9 bosses every single week during 17 weeks. It’s obvious that it’s not your situation, and if you were in that situation you’d say different things.

So in my opinion, we should keep the 150 Lis. BUT, Lis must be modified. It is not normal to lock people behind such a huge time gate, if someone wants to play a lot, and kills the 9 bosses in 3 days, what does he do the rest of the week if he wants to keep working on his armor ? This is for me the most annoying thing, I personnaly clear the 3 wings in a few hours with friends, and then what should I do ? Waiting another week and do it again ? Just : why ? Let me play and get rewarded ! This is why I think Lis have to be loot-able more than once a week, it would encourage people raiding more and not only doing their weekly clears and then stop raiding the rest of the week. This is where we see that people only think about their own interests : some people want it to be easy in order to achieve it as fast as they can without a lot of efforts, and some people find it normal to lock the armor behind a disgusting time gate, because they’re near the 150 Lis and want to be privileged, most of the time talking with arrogance. I hope Anet won’t listen to both of these players, and instead think, analyse, and react properly. I hope they reward people for playing raid every day, for investing time in raids, not for doing a weekly clear every week for 17 weeks, and people who started raiding when raids came out shouldn’t be so privileged, if someone wants to spend all his days doing raids he should be rewarded for it, and not be punished for missing the first months of raids. We should keep it hard, keep the fact we need to kill 150 bosses, or even more than 150 if the Lis are modified, but make it reachable faster for people ready to invest time in it.

Ok these were pretty much the answers I expected:
People who got in early in the Raids and who have already acquired close to 150LI are of course against the idea. Because if they lowered the amount then their effort would totally not be respected
And people like me who are stuck at 30-40 LI ask to lower it.
Well I still say lower it because if you try to PUG Raids or just have bad luck with people it will become really annoying as it might take 2-6-infinity hours to get even one LI.
Still in all comments above nobody replies to the weekly Cap issues:
Don’t you also feel punishes when in One week you simply can’t spend time raiding but in another you have enough time to kill the Bosses 10 times over?

As I said I would be perfectly ok with the 150Lis if the Lis were daily/multiple times a week. Killing 150 bosses is hard, but it’s a legendary armor it has to be hard. But killing 150 bosses while having to wait one week every time makes no sense to me. Of course people who have close to 150 Lis will say " oh no it’s good like that ! we love having to wait one week, we waited one week to get our Lis all the time so now you’ll suffer too.". But I think Anet are aware of the problems with Lis, let’s hope to see some communication on it soon.

150 (25 per piece) is very fine. No changes needed. After all a set of armor is 6 pieces and should take a lot of effort to get 6 legendaries.

Also disagree on this one. 100 T6 mats per legendary is not insane. It is very generous

You know people think only about their own interests. For them it’s not insane to ask someone who has never raided to kill 9 bosses every week during 17 weeks to get a legendary armor, because they have more than 100+ Lis so it’s ok for them to be privileged. But when they’re asked to do something they don’t have that will also require a lot of time, there they’ll disagree and they it’s insane and too much etc. Humans.

Why ? If you ask for people with no raid experience to kill 9 bosses every week for 17 weeks, it’s perfectly fine for me to ask the others to farm and get tons of mats for 17 weeks too. Hey, this is legendary armor, it must be deserved !

I also do not think it is fine at all like that. Putting the first ever legendary armor in Gw2 behind raids which 90+% of the players can’t play by lack of time or “skill” was already a controversial idea, putting it behind 150 Lis is just too much. It would be perfectly fine if we could get Lis daily, or 3 times a week/boss. It absolutely punishes people for not having started raiding since the beginning, and I don’t get the idea, let people play and get rewarded for it, don’t ask them to wait one complete week every time…

As far as I’m concerned, I started raiding a few months ago, the beginning was very hard because I couldn’t find groups who accepted me, then I started killing VG, then other bosses, and now for 7 weeks I’ve been killing every single boss every week, I spent tons of hours every week, killing bosses mutiple times to get used to them, and still I don’t even have half the Lis required… I would be glad to know how many Lis people saying " oh for me it’s perfectly fine that if a guy who wants to have the armor without having raided will have to do every single 9 bosses every single week for 17 weeks ! ", they are probably close enough to the 150 Lis and don’t want a lot of people to have the armor. And even people who raid, most of them only do Vg and Gorseval, you can check the LFG there are always more VG groups than anything else, groups for other bosses always require high Lis or kill proofs, which most of people don’t have.

I also really hope they’ll either lower the Lis required, or make Lis lootable more than once a week. I think collection fills the role of “involvement check”, because hey, most of people I know and who raid haven’t even killed Matthias yet, a lot of raiders haven’t killed Sabetha or Sloth, and are already blocked by the collection, so Lis shouldn’t be asked in such a high quantity.

That’s this “timegate” side of legendary inside that bothers me, they do not reflect the involvement of a player, but how many weeks he could do raids. Making Lis daily would reflect more the investment of a player. I don’t understand why a guy that does one Matthias in 7 days should be as rewarded as a guy who does it 3 times.

Hello everyone,

So, as I’ve been playing raids every week for weeks now, there’s still something I don’t understand : why are Lis limited to one/week/boss ?

Legendary insights are currently used to do a “check the experience and if someone is trustable” of a player ( I know that’s not what they have been designed for, and most of people fake it anyway ), so why is it necessary to wait one week to get a new one on a boss ? Even for legendary armors, I guess ArenaNet uses them to do a " time spent in raids and how involved a player is " and to, then, reward this player.

So why is our “time spent in raids and involvement” tool limited to one per week per boss ? I started raiding slowly a while ago, doing one VG every week only, then I started to do Gorseval, Sabetha, and I fell in love with this game mode and litteraly started killing bosses 10 times a week, just because I found it fun and I was enjoying it. I was putting a lot of efforts and time in it. But still, one VG = 10 VG, 1 Matthias = 10 Matthias, it doesn’t reflect at all the time you spent in the raid and the experience you have. Just as an exemple, if a guy has only done one Vale guardian every week since the first week of december, he has about 26 Lis, while if a guy has started raiding 1 month ago, has been really good and has taken down every 6 bosses we had so far ( that almost never happens ), trained hard, spent tons of hours, done bosses multiple times every week to progress faster, has put a lot of investment, found a miracle way to be taken in raids while not having a lot of Lis/no tonic, well that guy has 24 Lis.

I find it sad, some people would love to see even the loots reseted daily, I think they should make the loots reset daily but making ascended loots more rare, or cap them to 1 asc loot maximum/boss/week or something else. It would be really nice to have that update on Lis, and to get finally rewarded for the time we spend in raid, instead of getting rewarded for the fact we’ve played raids for a long time. I also think it could be nice to put a " daily raid " system, in the daily quests, like " Kill Gorseval, rewards : 15 magnetite shards, some karma", as we see that raids are really pug-able, it would motivate people doing raids everyday, as many people just clear the bosses monday in 2-3hours and then just stop raiding until the next monday. Raids are awesome and people putting a lot of effort in them every day should be rewarded, I don’t feel encouraged to do them more than once a week.

I saw during the last two days, while look for a group to do Sloth, two announces " 90+ Li only, eternal, gearcheck, killproof – NO FRENCH PLAYER ", " Only eternal +70Li, BE VERY EXP OR EASY KICK FOR NOOBS ", "Exp or kick, no missplays ". No wonder why people think the raiding community is toxic, and I honnestly think it is partialy true, a LOT of raiders are actually very toxic. I think it’s Anet’s role to moderate announces like this in the lfg, and to try to reduce the toxicity, when a player gets reported for insults, he must be looked at and things must be done for this kind of toxic players.

Edit : at the moment I’m posting, a group announces " eternal only, fail once = kick " xD

You should also considere that doing collections can be very painful, you need to be ready to wait events for hours, etc. Sometimes it’s worth paying 100g+ more and get it at the TP. But if you have time and you’re not hurried, the collection remains the best solution as it gives you an occupation.

Hello everyone,

As I start doing raids weekly, I was wondering about something. The legendary armor collection isn’t very hard, but it requires to beat every single boss, I’m “ok” with that as legendary things have to be hard to do, even if I don’t think it is a good idea at all to force players to do something in order to create an armor that has been waited since GW2’s launch. Most of raiders are happy about that because it gives them the opportunity to have an armor which 95%+ of the community will never have, but even as a raider I’m completely unhappy about this way to deliver the first legendary armor in GW2, I find it completely unfair as the next legendary armor will probably come within 2 years or something. Anyway.

The question is, as the spring patch really lowered the amount of efforts you have to put in order to get your new legendary weapon (easier exp, adventures giving points more easily, ressources drop rate increased ), which I think is a very good idea : are legendary armors affected by these changes ? Will the amount of legendary insights required be lower than what they initially wanted ? Or are there plans to give more insights for killing one boss/being able to obtain multiple insights each week ? Will there be less insights required but more open world things instead ?
I’m kinda scared because having to go through every single boss of the raids can be a real pain, and take a huge amount of time, and I already find it very unfair for a lot of players who can’t do it ( the vast majority of the community for multiple reasons ), but having to farm all of them if you want to have your legendary armor in a reasonable amount of time seems completely annoying to me. I don’t think it will require too many insights as most of people will start raiding when they’ll see the armor and you can not ask them to farm 5/6/9 bosses every week for months.

I know we have absolutely no idea about the number of insights that will be needed, but I just wonder if the raid team acted and considered the " casualisation " of this patch.

My game crashed aswell in raid, also the game lost the connection while my internet didn’t turn off and I could still do other things, and the VG is bugged, in phase 1 he doesnt follow the tank and stays at the same place, doing nothing

Good job. You’re on the good way IMO. This is a big patch to “clean” out things, and to make the game just better. Although, there will be a hard moment soon as there’s … Nothing new to do ( i’m talking about new maps, events, 4-5 new legendaries). People are gonna be happy for a few days and then realize that they are at the exact same stage they were before this patch, but in a better game.
So now I think that it is a hard priority to focus on new content, you made the game better with this patch, time to add new things in that better game!
It also makes people forgetting about legendary weapons cancelation, and that’s good, not a patch that will make ancient players come back, but definitely a patch that will delight players who play every game and every kind of content.

Hero points could be " empty ", what I mean is that they’d still be on the map, and part of the map, but they would give nothing. You’ll need to do them all if you want the full map, but they wouldn’t affect your character.
What you guys don’t seem to understand is that I don’t wanna explore with an elementalist, I wanna explore with MY elementalist. The one I created a while ago, that has a story, an importance for me.
And you can start your world completion when you’re already lvl 80 and fully equipped, and anyway I don’t see what would be unfair that you’re already equipped when some people do it when they’re not already 80… That’s their choice, they can perfectly level up first and then do it, we can have our choice too. And anyway, it’s not like it would impact the economy or something, just let people having fun the way they want/can.

Hello.

I was exploring the whole Tyria in order to have new exploration gifts, and then I thought about something. Why not making Tyria exploration resetable ? I play every class but I spend 90% of my game time on my Elementalist that I’ve been loving playing for more than 3 years now.

It would have been very nice to me if I could re-explore Tyria with my Elementalist.
We could imagine a simple button, on the map interface. When the map is 100% full, a button " reset" appears, and then everything needs to be explored again. It would give exploration gifts, map completion rewards, as if you were doing it on another character.

And we could then imagine new rewards when the completion is done, like new star icons next to our name, titles, illustrations. We could get a special weapon/something skin when we achieve 10 Tyria full map explorations, and go hardcore with a huge skin when you achieve 100 full map explorations on the same character. Golds could be given too, as it remains a lot of play time.
This would require almost no ressources at all for Anet, would give “new content” because when we re-explore, we always find things we had never seen, a lot of work has been thrown into those maps which we almost never go to.

Even if it’s not real new content, I think it would be really nice to have this option, a lot of people play most of their time on one character, and when they want/have to explore Tyria again, it could be boring/painful for them not to do it on their favorite character.

Hey everyone,

I’m posting here to have your thoughts on a few things.
I’m a thief main in PvP and I play only Thief in ranked.
I created my build on my own and I’m in emerald 4th stage ( I started rankeds yesterday , so I’m doing good), but I’m having a few problems that are disgusting me from PvP.
First one is the fact that Thief is rejected from PvP. It’s not rare for me to get flamed or seeing a “… thief -.-” before the game even begins.

Let’s face it, we have the exact same builds, every single game, no matter what, it’s EXTREMELY rare that someone plays something else than a copy pasted metabattle build. Not only the builds are completely broken but they don’t reflect AT ALL the player’s level of skill ( DH, tanky ele ), but people insult you when you’re not playing a metabattle build. The worst is that I get insulted a lot by ennemies for being a " kittenn condi thief ", while they play DH or bunker Mesmer, the community is extremely toxic.

Also, I see everybody crying about " the meta " but 99% of players actually play it, so I don’t get the fact you’re mad at something and you still play it, players choose to make the game boring and then cry about the fact they’re bored.

Do you guys play Thief in PvP sometimes ? Do you think choices of builds should be removed from the game as everyone always plays the exact same thing, going from the same trait to the same runes and sigils ? Why are some traits really bad and some are really good, in the same tree ? Is ArenaNet forcing us to play one kind of thing, like in League Of Legends ? Do you think it is possible to get to a high rank by playing Thief ? Is it even worth to report someone who’s insulting you ?
