Tyrian Old Guard [TOG] is a casual & friendly Oceanic/NA guild for over 25’s who enjoy a mature gaming environment where we can pick our own form of immaturity.
We are looking for new blood to join our ranks who appreciate playing in a relaxed, easy going environment with like minded people. Our members include parents, young adults, retirees, you name it we have one (or two). All we ask is that our members show respect & tolerance towards each other and the GW2 Community as a whole.
Our 300+ members are primarily Oceanic & US though we also have members from many other countries and from all walks of life. Although we are primarily a PvE guild we do have members participating regularly in PvP & WvW (Yak’s Bend).
We also have a crazy role playing Charr that hates water, an officer that wants to convert everyone to Necros, a Guild Leader who’s bags are always full and a person (that shall remain unnamed) that keeps people waiting all the time while he gets the guild leader regular glasses of wine (to help her cope with her full bags)
We are also part of a much larger gaming community you may have heard of called “The Older Gamers” embracing most game genres, when you join TOG you become part of a big family of gamers

We have few rules but you must be 25 or older to join TOG, adhere to the Terms and Conditions for Guild Wars 2 laid down by Anet & follow our Code of Conduct (https://www.theoldergamers.com/threads/about-the-older-gamers-tog-code-of-conduct.644520/).
While we have no policy on repping we are looking for people who want a main guild they will rep regularly and become active members of our community.
Joining TOG
To join “Tyrian Old Guard” you must first apply to become a member of “The Older Gamers” community through our web site at https://www.theoldergamers.com/forums/the-barracks.11/ . Simply follow the instructions in the sticky thread titled “Potential Members – PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING”.
Once accepted into TOG add a post in our signup thread at https://www.theoldergamers.com/threads/sign-up-thread.515207/ and we’ll get you into the guild asap.
Our forums are in the process of being upgraded so if you cannot get to the above link then go to http://www.theoldergamers.com/ and click on the “Barracks” forum. Failing that simply message one of the below accounts in game or Discord for an invite and we will arrange TOG membership when the forums are available.

Great event guys, love the new dungeons and zone, however it completely dumbfounds me why you would make the reward for people participating in the weekend a one time based event with no options for those not able to get involved to get a reward.
Lets face it we all died heaps over the weekend and suffered the age old dilemma of killing bosses and veterans at great effort for poor / irrelevant loot rewards so it does sting a little to finally see some good loot drop but not be able to get it
Admittedly it’s just loot and it was a fun weekend (even with the bugged npc’s trying not to play the game ) but it’s sad to tarnish a fun event by not rewarding all the people involved when you could just send a mail to everyone that played with the reward or run a mini version of the event a few times.
Keep up the good work but try to make things fairer for all your players not just the lucky ones
