I’m sorry if I’m late to reporting this finding, but it tugged at my heart strings enough to make me want to post:
I was working on a collection item and found myself ending up doing the jump puzzle in the south west corner of Dredgehaunt Cliffs, Tribulation Cave. After collecting the chest, I saw this poor thing lying on the ground.
I’ve done this puzzle before but never noticed this. Is this part of a collection now?! The poor thing!
My friends and I are looking for a new guild to call home. I see that you’ve closed recruitment for now, but would you take a peek at my post and see if we’d be a good fit for you?

My friends and I are looking for a new home, do you think you could meet our needs?

Just wanted to let you know we’re still interested in finding a new guild. Feel free to send me an in-game mail as well.
I’m bumping this because while we found a guild that we really like and have made some great friends and were able to do all things we were looking to do, it’s become some apparent that it’s time for us to find a new home due to our guild leader not being able to function as expected.
With that said, you’ll now be getting more than CaptRazz and I (4 to 7 more). Please review our wish list at the top. We’ll also be diligent in seeking you out as well to ask questions.
Thanks!
It’s become needful for my friends and I move to a new guild. Would we fit in? https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/NA-LFGuild-PvE-semi-hardcore/first#post5889660
In Act 2 of Heart of Thorns, there is the achievement called “Avoid Traps.” You’re to avoid the hidden traps laid by the Mordrem. I was able to avoid them with ease, but at the end of the instance, I still had not received credit for completing it. Has anyone else had this bug?
Bumping this as we’re still looking.
Was wondering if me and my friend would be a good fit:
You can try this one if you are interested
See if it suits

Thanks for taking a minute to read our post, but Knighthood isn’t what we had in mind. Good luck though!
We also have a few other friends we’ve told what we’re doing and they’ve expressed some interest to follow us to which ever guild we move to.
CaptRazz.7320 and zephyrus.3476
- Currently on Ehmry Bay, though we’re not interested in WvW so server doesn’t matter. No, we don’t want to pay to transfer.
- Mountain Standard Time (UTC -7:00) from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM most nights and weekends (with dinner breaks in-between). We don’t care what NA time zone your guild is in, we just are stating the hours we play.
- Semi-hardcore players playing since launch with a few month hiatus at various times
- Mainly PvE and all its content with some play time in EotM and PvP matches
- Avid dungeon and fractal runners
- Very high interest in raids (we’ve been practicing)
- Enjoy playing Fashion Wars 2
- Like to run guild missions and help others out
- Both have over 3 years of guild leadership experience in and outside of GW2
- Comfortable with VoIP applications, but prefer Discord and TS
- Want a guild not too big or small, but just right (more than 20 active players on at a time)

Update: I can confirm it’s an RNG drop. I did happen to have a item booster active at the time of getting the item. So, this isn’t a bug.
My group went on Tuesday night and we noted the same thing. It wasn’t only until after an hour and a half of trying to down the first boss that we got some. I went from 11 to 14 in that amount of time, but I still wonder if it’s a bug still
I have completed all the achievements for the specialization collection for the weapon, Yggdrasil except for the Machined Staff part. Within that achievement collection, I have completed all the need steps, however I have been unable to collect the Machined Staff Shaft
I’ve opened at least 30 Noxious Pods and completed the meta event in Dragon Stand at least twice since this collection has been opened to me. Am I wrong to assume the item will drop as soon as the collection is opened like so many others? Or maybe this is a bug?
Thanks for bringing these points to my knowledge, I wasn’t aware of most of these items. Thanks for educating me.
This is why I’m asking, how much of an impact would there be? There’s got to be some kind of happy medium somewhere, right? Or maybe the medium is already there and I just wasn’t aware.
I’d first like to apologize if there is already a similar post in the forums, but a key word search and hundreds of results is a lot to go through, so here is something I’d like to bring up:
Gems. When I started playing GW2 at launch, I wasn’t sure if it was something I’d stick with as this was my first MMO, so I didn’t take much interest in gems. I can’t remember the first time I bought 800 of them. And I’m not sure what the first thing was that I purchased, but I’m certain it wasn’t gold. I mean, this game is also known as Fashion Wars 2. But then I had a few extra gems and bought gold. I really didn’t think to much of it, just that it wouldn’t hurt to have some extra and I really didn’t know how to make it as I was still new to the genre.
I then for a while would buy gems on the principle that I liked what Arena Net had done with the game and I wanted to support them and thank them for their work. I could justify $10 every month when I was playing actively. But then I noticed I started spending more of my gems on gold. And it was mostly because I had characters that needed rune sets once they hit 80. Maybe I wasn’t earning gold the best ways, but I was trying to set myself at a good place so I could help others in the guild.
But here we are now with HoT released, me a wiser player (on how to make gold), and returning to the game after a few months. Coming back and hearing what happened to dungeons being nerfed, had me a little concerned. I had never been a fan of fractals (and am still on the fence). I was unsure of what content would allow me to sustain my in-game costs. It’s only been two weeks but I was thinking about this today and here are some of my thoughts:
- Would removing the option to purchase gold with gems fix (what I hear from various sources) the inflated economy? We’ve seen F2P/B2P is working well for MMOs in general. And having items of convenience and fashion seems logical. But now looking back at the other MMOs I’ve played, it’s obvious that there is a “pay to win” aspect to GW2. And now looking back, I feel a bit dirty.
- Would removing gold purchasing help other aspects of the game? I mentioned that I’m a bit saddened that dungeons are being pushed aside (I realize that they had already been, but this is the nail in the coffin). Gold aside, I enjoyed running the various paths. And I liked that for a majority of them, they are pugable. It was something I could do if I only had a limited amount of time that night. But, what about other things we can do in the game that aren’t getting enough attention?
My main reason in posting this is because I feel like there’s a lot happening to the game right now and it seems to me that this is a topic that really isn’t getting an answer on: How does the average player base feel about the time vs. gold paradigm right now and what can be done to better the experience?
I’ll admit I’m not an expert on anything in the game, just one that enjoys the game and doesn’t want to see it go in a downhill direction. I hope a developer can comment and give some insight in why things are the way they are (and what they hope to see in the future).
