Guild Wars 2

Same issue. Repairing (/applications/guild\ wars\ 2.app/contents/MacOS/cider —use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 -- C:\\GW2\\GW2.exe –repair) does not work, it used to solve this problem for me.

Even if there is some issue with Verizon, Anet needs to address it. I did not pay Verizon for the game and I do not buy gems from Verizon. It is great that Anet sent an email to Verizon, but really…an email? At least I called tech support.

I am a FIOS user on Mac. Patching was a kitten, but I got it done.

I was able to play earlier today, but nothing works today.

I am having the same trouble. Deleted the App support GW2 folder multiple time to no affect. Patch is fully downloaded, so that is not an issue.

Please fix this. Cant’ buy gems if the game won’t start….

I have no idea why this worked, but I changed accounts on my iMac to my son’s account, then GW2 loaded after the tgUpdate and I could play.

Having the same problem now.

For about a week, I’ve had the TgUpdate every time I opened the program. When I logged into the game, I had the camera issue described above, with the camera wildly spinning even if I gently nudged the mouse. Minimizing and then maximizing the screen solved the problem, so I would just go about my business, no big deal.

Starting today, for some reason, whenever I start GW2, TgUpdate would launch, download completely, but then GW2 would just close. No launcher, no nothing. It doesn’t matter how many times I re-open the program, it just closes once the TgUpdate is done.

I live in a moderately remote place, and I really don’t want to have to delete my files and re-download 17GB on my slowish connection. Is there really no other way to fix this issue? What is going on?"

This is exactly my situation. I put up with tabbing out to solve the spinning issue and waiting for the patch to load before play, but now it loads and just quits after the TgUpdate thing.

I also put my settings on Best Performance and that stopped the crashing (even in a massive wvw battle). Not the way I want to run the game, but at least I could play.

I am having the identical issue. I crash when entering any battle of more than a few in WVW.
