Hello Allie, I think the game mode and build for the class should be specified when doing these votes to make things easier

3. Necro
1. Engineer. A huge percentage of utilities are just not good, notably turrets. Traits could use help as well. This is all well documented in our forum!
2. Warrior. I can already see this won’t make the list because no one else is voting on it, but I still have to speak my piece. Warrior is way overtuned. It can fill too many roles with 1 build. While I appreciate the roles it fills, it is not fair that it can do them all at once with minimal sacrifice.
3. Ranger. Toss up between this and Necro for me, but I feel Necro has a lot more going for it. I don’t buy the “lol Ranger go away” fad, but the Ranger does need to bring more to groups. With the DPS meta that PVE is right now, it’s hard to justify a Ranger over a Warrior in those groups obsessed with said meta. Luckily I don’t find myself in those often, but it still brings up a real issue with Rangers I think. Similar DPS to Warriors but nowhere near the group utility at the same time (coincides with my #2, Warriors can have it all).

I assume by balance you mean both positive and negative.
1. Ranger (no need to explain)
2. Warrior (a bit too good at everything at once)
3. Thief (high damage professions tend to pressure players into going heavy bunker or heavy glass-like specs to survive)
1. Ranger
2. Necromancer
3. Ele
1. Ranger – Pets (pet survivability, control, etc) and the interaction with them (F2) need rework. Traits/some utilities/some weapons need attention as well.
2. Necromancer – More options for power builds, more power based weapons. Bug fixes.
3. Warrior – Needs balancing, way too strong passive healing with Healing Signet, low cd on quite powerful utilities. It’s just ridiculous – they’re extremely efficient in literally everything without needing to sacrifice anything. Not fun at all. This needs to be changed, raise the skill cap for warriors by reworking some important skill types like stances and signets. Make them risk/reward, not reward/reward only, increase cooldown, tone down the unbelievable passive healing and get rid of the passive play as a whole. The class feels just stupid/brainless. Please get it in line with the others at least a bit.

1.Ranger(Needs more condition removal, needs to be able to apply torment and/or confusion with a skill(s) with condition builds, Pets need improvement)Every other class out performs ranger is any type of build.
2.Engineer(Make flamethrower more viable please, class as a whole needs improvement)
3. Elementalist
1. Elementalist – situational active defenses that do not compensate for the innate squishiness, lack of a role in spvp, auto-attack spammer with Lightning Hammer in pve, buff bot in pve and pvp.
2. Thief – uncounterable stealth, spammy nature of initiative (evade spam, heartseeker spam), counters the existence of eles and mesmers in pvp.
3. Ranger – pet and AI issues, too much dependence on AI, too much dependence on auto-attacks.

Greek.4396, our plan is to ask for game mode during the actual CDI when asking for what specific changes should be made.
So far, I’m seeing that it’s pretty unanimous that people think Elementalist and Ranger need the most help in all areas. If we get to the point where people feel there are classes that only need help in certain areas, we can change it up.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I think that is the main reason warrior doesnt make it, its a class that has no real problems just that it outshines the others because some are rahter broken.

I wanted to add Warrior as a 4th for its dominace across all game modes, but I feel that some tweaks can make a big difference here.
Ranger and thief issues are more from design than from balance, but elementalist’s suffers greatly from both aspects.

They keep getting nerfed because of one OP build. There is less viable and less variety of builds because of the nerfs.

1: Ranger (needs to be able to function without the pet…give it striker capabilities…more build options that are useful) Ranger needs to be more useful in parties and in dungeons…I hate the ranger hate in dungeons.
2: Elementalist, needs to be buffed majorly for how weak it is. make it the ultimate glass-cannon. Ele should be the highest damage in the game for how glass it is.
3: Warrior, needs to be adjusted. One build is good for everything with warrior, there is never any need to change…thats not right. There should be glass-cannon (high power, high risk, or tanky, or CC, or party helping….not all in one build like it is now. Warrior should not be the highest damage, and have the highest regen, and have the highest CC, and have the best armor rating….give something back to the Guardian to do.

WvW standpoint
1) Ranger – Not to get into everything but needing a grandmaster trait to use your signets is terribly unbalanced with the rest of the classes. It limits a lot of builds.
2) Ele – Very limited by weapons. You’re either short range or long range. Perhaps add a second weapon but limit each weapon to two attunements each. (S is F/W and d/d is L/E)
3) Guardian – Notably mobility issues and lack of conditions.
