Of all the servers we could have faced, we ended up with RS. Goodluck this week GH keep your eyes out for the RS 70man blobs. With us you should get quite a few small scale battles during the week, providing RS doesn’t force us to blob up.

This might not be the easiest matchup for us at GH, but I wouldn’t be overly pessimistic. Even if we won’t win on points, I won’t stop fighting.

Perma – [Outmanned] == good stuff.

Besides, steel is hardened in the blood of thine enemies… or something like that.

I will gladly WvW against superior opponents. And knowing the group of people I tend to WvW with, I won’t go alone :-).

While I patch.. can I get a quick definition of “small scale”? We’ve had a few slight mismatches with our opponents descriptions recently on that front

I feel really sorry for GH players and already start missing you guys down here

To Riverside and Piken Square: You have some awesome solo and smallscale players against you, do yourself a favor and give them some fair fights. Organize some duels and i promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

Half of Piken guilds run 15 man guilds only a few reach 25-30+. But then a lot of the time they can have additional friendlies following so might make it outmatched sometimes. But just ask, all Piken guilds are willing to do GvG matches with even numbers, just arrange it with the guilds you wish to face. As for duels i don’t know that much about it myself but i know we’ve got several decent guys ‘n’ gals that do it, so there should be some fun for you too.

Personally I would say 10-20 is small scale, while 30ish is what a strong guild can field as max. Anything more and its either a blob or a very overpowering T1 guild. Anything less than 10 is just a roaming group.

For Riverside, its somewhere around 50 for small scale keep defense I think.

Those of us Gunnar’s that have been here since the beginning hold Piken Square in the highest regard of any server we have faced. The server with so many, amazingly organised, skilled, 20-30+ players who are also honourable and really properly good people.

It has been a long time since we last met, and much has changed in that time. What is clear is that, while GH has improved and developed as a server, Piken has too.

It is nice to play against the likes of Seventh Legion again. I remember so well being wiped by you guys all those months ago, and wondering what the hell just hit us. We learned from that, and adapted and got better as a result. Clearly you guys have got better too.

Riverside I don’t remember, but you guys clearly have numbers and ability.

Whatever happens this week, Gunnar’s will fight their hardest, do their best, and will meet both Riverside and Piken Square on the battlefield. We will certainly lose the matchup, but we will do as best as we can and fight as hard as we can, no matter the odds and number stacked against us.

More guilds on rs try to run solo now, at least my guild is always running solo.
We are around 20 most times, outside of primetime were always roaming with 5-men-grps, hope to meet alot of your roamer-grps, gh.
We are also up for GvGs, 5v5, 10v10, 15+ etc., just msg me.
Already scheduled 2 GvGs for this week.

:) We (guild) tend to run about 5 average, 8 peak – although I’ve not been on much lately – 20 is small enough if it’s pug, 20 guild is a bit much.

EDIT: If you give us a few days notice, our guild is often up for 4v4/5v5.

8+ is a zerg, so smallscale is around 5 players (aka 1 group) ^^

anets glicko system tells us all that gunnars needs to be more than stomped to the ground to make it an even matchup. Bringing such servers together was obviously nothing good.

Being Gunnars im still looking up to this matchup – even though we are most times defending I think we can get at least some structures we can defend in again. Had very much fun tonight hiding as mesmer inside structures without being seen.

I’m from RoS and I have sympathy for GH, thats a pretty harsh match up. GH are good but dont have much coverage and have a fluctuating population so are going to be hard pressed to keep up.
I enjoyed our matches against GH, had some great fights both winning and losing, hang on in there, hopefully Anet will get something sorted as this surely cant be what was intended.

@ Ferawyn, please dont lump us all together with one person who makes that kind of post on the forums. The servers we are against and pushing hard, and thats good. The only issue I’ve noticed so far is FRs tendancy to turtle up being ACs, its effective and a perfectly valid tactic, but its just not very fun to play against if you are there for fighting other players. Still its only reset day, so hopefully we can find decent fight away from the rain of AC fire later in the week.

What, so you think they need spies? Our umm, off peak is amazing? Don’t even try to anything between 23-19

Gunnars are obviously going to lose this matchup, but I promise you we’ll give you some hard fights in primetime and push as hard as we can at all other times!

RS…rly…i never saw such a bad guildgroup like [IF]…~30 ppl and you still hide inside towers with tones of siege and even build siege in open field instead of haveing some balls and fight like men…btw…comeing out when its 5 or more against 1 of us shows how cool you guys are.

I rarely (read: once to date) run guild groups even though I’m now in a big guild as my focus has always been community based WvW. I’ll see if some of our guys from various guilds are up for an Xcore.

What size of fight did you have in mind?

Ive never faced RS before but they seem to have more arrow carts than GH do players. We were 15ish and got 30+ RS in open field….. They proceeded to run inside our hills and use arrow carts i mean im gobsmacked. Is every german server the same?

I for one am really psyched for this week of WvWvW, and I’m really looking forward to more battles with [VII] – it’s certainly been a while.

Gotta say that from a GH player its not been our worst reset ever, even though we got hit hard by both PS and RS on our own borders and were a little shellshocked at the matchup we’ve had some good fights tonight. PS seem like a good bunch of people in general and RS well, lets just say only really seen your backs as you run back to the nearest arrow cart

I have to say, good luck to both sides! Unfortunately my experience of EB so far since reset has been that it is harder to walk up to a tower’s gate when there is an arrow cart there than to actually take it down (looking at you Riverside!) and that Gunnar’s are hiding somewhere (I have yet to see one you! :p ).

Some fun fights so far but i have to say riverside, what is with your guild [IF] or [IR] whatever they are called. I’ve never seen a guild flash build so many arrow carts and ballista on the open field with even numbers.

Good to see some Piken guilds only run 50 tho, that should be easier to match with a 6 man roaming group. Wish you luck and may you switch to magic find gear for better loot since we shouldn’t really be a problem to kill anyway.

I’m glad PvDooring is so fun for ya. If you played a lesss boring style you might actually get some opponents to play with. Also DW i thought you guys preffered to run solo, so far tonight all i’ve seen of your 10+ guys is in the middle of the 60+ RS blob. Please RS for love of fun and fights stop running around like you do, it makes you like the kid nobody likes(every server can’t wait til you or them leaves the matchup). GH you got some nice good players so far from what i’ve seen keep up the good work(just don’t start copying RS style or it’ll ruin ya)

How low can riverside sink….
Using zoomhacks to hit our arrow carts inside our keep while we defend it with 10 people to at least 60 people, while you have golems at our gates.
I am ok with the difference in numbers that is arenanet’s fault, but to use zoomhacks to get in while you already have that much of a number advantage is just silly.
Lets hope you guys get next match up against vizunah they will probably happily give you back the same treatment. (and also be very proud of such an achievement as you guys were when you capped the keep while cheating your way in)

i PM you a screen from 5 seconds after i killed your arrowcarts if you want.
no zoomhack involved. piken zerg was quite heavy this morning…. no way you could kill that monster on EBG without arrowcarts
5 secs after inc we had so much skilllag that the inital burst of the melee train killed us.

We were 6 or 7 roaming and stumbled across this fight.
Filled our stacks, moved on.
And sure it was all youve seen from us, we did avoid zerg fights most of the night

Guys is bit pointless to complain about RS blobs that is only way they can play and no one of them care so QQ about will change nothing. Just keep killing them even if we had to blob too. Build trillion AC, stack retaliation, hit multiple targets same time and fave fun.

INC will be back at Monday and we cant wait to push that blobs back to re-spawn.

Sorry but RoS vs UW vs FR topic is only 1 page and I dont see single complaining post about blobs so maybe stop lie ?

FURY i remember your last week at AG ( AG vs AM vs RS ) and you decided to transfer because of this all blobs with acs and now RS again :P Good luck and find some fun
