There are other thieves that use S/P? I like it cause it’s what I’ve used forever. And don’t use elites? That’s like saying don’t punch your opponent cause he doesn’t like it. Use what you got.

Here are some action shots from the previous week. I stumbled across a SF controlled tower, and was dodging a hail of arrows from an arrow cart. Eventually a ranger and warrior left the tower and came over and killed me. I went back, and this time it was a 1v1 with both of them. I ultimately killed the ranger, then found the warrior coming from behind me, but I stroke first! A group of SF chased me, and I jumped off a cliff to my death. The funny part about it was one of the SF’ers jumped with me. I had a good 1v1 with a thief, which ended with both of us using our downed skills to fight. I won

Good game tonight at DH Bay, had a blast defending “our” corner, and taking Bay eventually. Sure we could have pulled a golem bomb and hastened the process. But why do that when we’re having so much fun fighting off both servers?

Good games all. For us on IoJ, best matchup in a while. As for the Isle of Darkhaven nonsense…hahaha. 2/3rds of EB was blue reset night, and the other 1/3rd was red. Two weeks in a row. Except last week we took all of DH’s keeps on their BL. Get with the program SF. DH is the threat, not IoJ. We leave you kids alone for a reason (HINT: IoJ walks all over SF during the weekdays)….I guess you need a tutorial?

So i get yelled at by some of my own people for pushing SM just now simply because we have a temporary truce with SF -.- I mean i did agree to work with SF when i was one and i have done that plain and simple. However regardless if i had pushed SM or not We would have capped it that night with our Oceanics, Im not trying to backstab SF or anything here, my apologies if you thought that, but i have people in my zerg that need things in SM for world completion just like you do in yours, either way its gonna flip to IoJ or DH again tonight and i figured i would just grab it for a short while for our people.. Sheesh never thought i’d have to defend me going to SM for people from my own server.

Yesssss very good my minions

Had a lot of fun messing around outmanned on DH borderland last night. At one point one of our guys randomly found a Siege Golem so we speed built it and rushed the five of us at Red Lake. DH sent enough to totally wipe us in the Lords room No worries though we got it the old fashion way with a ram later but that was probably cause IOJ was hitting bay so hard so thanks IOJ for distracting them enough to not make us completely useless <3

Also shout out to GRIM, had some fun battles last night.

Sometimes I like to think they see my guild tag and go “gasp Its that Tuluum guy!!” and then proceed to call target where the entire zerg focuses me down because I am so darn dangerous.

Perhaps not entirely realistic, but I AM an Asura after all. We have big heads, both literally and figuratively.

I just wanted to do a friendly en-“tango.” :\ (ha! :P)

Just wanted to make a slight correction our thief isn’t a stealth thief. If it seemed he appeared out of nowhere it’s cause he teleported across the map. The only stealth he has is his heal.

Battle rages on in EB:

DH recovering in some areas but klovan/WC continue to get reduced to paper. heavy camp raiding on IoJ’s BL pulled some away, but not many.

Not sure what drove DH to almost obliterate SF’s map (almost, they recovered) but now SF has a waypoint on the castle and DH is holding their corner, but tooth and nail, and not without losing stuff to a sucker punch ramraid.

You’ve probably been in SF and noticed IoJ go right past you, or been in DH and notice an IoJ zerg completely go right through/past an SF zerg without fighting. Yep, as you can see from previous threads, that’s kinda intentional. It’s definitely making things way more fun in this matchup so far.

TL;DR: eeeeeeepic weekend.

Nice IOJ. And when we rally the troops this week we will be sure to give you some extra hard loving.

Srsly though, good games. I wish we could get DH somewhere they “belong” and have a SF/DR/IoJ matchup. Not sure about the servers stomping on DR in t7, but it’d be nice to have a more even matchup. Population based matchups is what I’m getting at I guess.

I really want IoJ to win this week’s match-up. So, I’m rooting for you guys. From what I’ve read in these forums, it’s been a long time since they’ve been first.

Would that kind of a shake-up this week change the servers’ colors for next week? Wouldn’t that be a nice way to get the “fair-weather-players” of all 3 servers back to WvW to get the POIs and Vistas they’ve been locked out of for months?

IoJ’s prime-time has the ability to dictate whether DH or SF would finish first, but I feel they are more than capable of dictating if they themselves would finish first. On that note, SF is at first…go get ’em! lol

Had a blast playing on me engineer today, granted she only be level 32. been a while since I last played wvw. DH surprised me today holding SF out of their tower for a good bit ( what kind of sorcery was it? answer: myro). Was my first time seeing Dh defend a regular tower that wasnt ours to begin with.

Win/lose/tie none of that matters ( at least to me) Im just here for the party. Its not the first server out of the gate who wins, we always have terriable resets, except for last week none of us even know how that happened. dont count us out of the game just yet.

They just did this same exact thing on our BL before we crushed them and they got kitten and went to your guys BL. Btw that abys D/D ele commander is so awful.

Just keep in mind that you will always have guild groups/randoms/Breakouts hitting random things, which means you are sure to lose some BO towers etc.

Don’t get frustrated, it happens to us to. We have had to pull out of several offenses to go and clear a random group of IoJ pushing us.

Saturday night (I think it was, possibly Friday), we had DH’s keep on EB, and had no real serious intentions on keeping it and SM. We saw the IoJ guys pushing towards golanta as DH had walls down on the keep. The thought was this would be a primetime to back off the keep long enough to let IoJ and DH fight it out for it, we were wrong. Because IoJ turned and headed for SM, so we pulled out of the keep and protected SM.

In the end IoJ missed out on the keep, and SM, while DH was able to reclaim their 1/3 of EB while we mucked around at SM. The moral of the story is that things have a way of working out, once again the idea is not to 2v1 DH, the idea is to keep them honest. They have superior numbers, this is a known fact. If we keep their numbers in check (we being IoJ/SF) then they have to play all week. Whereas in the past they were able to cherry pick at opportune times, while IoJ/SF fought each other. All the while DH was stacking PPT and building up 30k+ leads.

As it stands now DH has to earn everything they get, and IoJ/SF does as well. Which is the way it should be, makes for a better matchup, and guarantees more fun to be had for all 3 servers.

SF is very aware both of you will make a substantial push during the weekdays now, but that push hopefully will not produce the lopsided scores, and the “playing for 2nd” mentality that has permeated this match so far in the past 2 weeks.

Let’s keep at this thing all week long and see where it takes us, hopefully all 3 servers enjoy the hell out of WvW all week, and this match continues to be fun for all.
