Guild quality of life improvements

I was actually rather surprised to find that a game name Guild Wars has such a lacklustre guild system.
*Officer chat channel.
This is one of those basic things that should have been in from day one.
*Scaled Influence.
The way things stand with Influence right now, a large guild can have all their members log in once, and do nothing else, and they get enough Influence to research tier 3 upgrades in a single day. A small guild, on the other hand, has to work hard for every little bit of Influence they can earn, and those same tier 3 upgrades can take weeks. Tier 4 upgrades can be researched by a large guild in as little as two days with no work whatsoever, for small guilds it’s likely to take months doing non-stop events/pvp/wvw. There needs to be some mechanism to slow down the big guilds and, right now, the only thing I can think of is reducing Influence gained based on the number of members, say -15% Influence, from all sources, for every 100 members.
*Something else to spend Influence on.
Maybe I’m missing something, but there doesn’t appear to be anything to spend Influence on after tier 4. All those expensive tier upgrades do is unlock things like banners and buffs which cost an insignificant amount of Influence. For even a small guild this will eventually mean that there comes a point where the Influence is just building up and there’s nothing to spend it on… some larger guilds are already at that point. I am not saying that those banners and buffs should be more expensive because that would just put them out of reach of small guilds, but there needs to be something for the larger guilds to spend their Influence on.
*Guild Commanders
One idea that could solve several issues, may be to have Commanders as a temporary “buff” that can be researched repeatedly and bestowed on an individual at the officer’s discretion, rather than something that can be bought with gold. The benefit of having it as temporary (say, one week) is that a guild can give many people a chance at the role. Another way to do it would be for guild leaders to always have the rank, and then research the permanent rank for each individual member.
That’s all I can think of for now.
Kyxha 80 Ranger, Sokar 80 Necro
Niobe 80 Guardian, Symbaoe 45 Ele
We need guild system improvements please! posting/signing/agreeing with every single post that puts up suggestions regarding guild improvements in a game called “Guild” Wars…..hmmmmm
Cheers!
“Broadcast motd in guild chat when updated, and on login.” It should be sooo nice, and I am sure it’s not that hard!
“Display last login and last influence generated time for guild members.” To manage a guild that’s a must have!!! Reached 500 and we can’t decide who is active and who is hmm “ballast”… :s
Please, please! Pleaseeeee! DO IT!!!!
+1 to all of this
The ability to see guildies on the wvwvw map would be nice, as would being able to form larger groups with guildies. 4/5 just isnt enough, and no way would I expect the guild I am in to grind 100g for someone to get the pointless commander title for larger groups.

We need those stuff to maintain an active guild.
Agree whit it, I hope Anet will do some of these : )
Agree with the OP.
With Sokar Rostau* , dont agree at all.
Anything about this? 7 months gone, not a dev. sign in…
At least theese for our guilds?
- Display last login and last influence generated time for guild members.
- Enable the ability to edit motd instead of just typing a brand new one.
- Broadcast motd in guild chat when updated, and on login.
- Add a warning prompt when promoting another member to guild leader.
- Add a message to guild notifications when a new member joins the guild
Another " I AGREE" ……. need the “last login” or atleast a “last time repping my guild”….. i have a guild of approx 150 but only 30 or so are repping and I would like to know if they’re just not on, not repping, or what the deal is before I start booting ppl…
