So…I have been thinking about different spec’s for my Necro…and while staff has some really cool and useful stuff in it…I feel gypped because any dual wield class gets to put two sigils (one in each weapon) on their character…

Why the heck doesn’t the staff or bow or any other two handed weapon have two slots?

Don’t say it’s because of the power either, because that is not justifiable in my eyes. The difference is marginal at best.

Please add a second sigil space to two handed weapons…make the playing ground level.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to simply make each Sigil on 1H weapons only affect abilities by that weapon? For Engineers, only the Mainhand should affect kits I suppose.

What about weapon swaps? What about “on kill” sigils? That would completely break the current system.

So in your idea, if ANet made 2-handed weapons more expensive than 2x 1-handed weapons combined, it’d be okay for 2-handed weapons to be outright better?
What logic is that?

The answer is never to justify unbalance.
Fix the prices and fix the power balance.

Would need the data on that for sure. Since I believe people have stated that numbers wise, the highest dps for Guardian at least is the 1h sword. Warriors are also switching to Axe/Mace and saying they’re seeing higher damage outputs.

If the damage is relatively the same, it would make sense for 2handers to have 2 sigil slots.

If I’m not mistaken,anet announced somewhere that they plan to give 2h weapons two sigil slots at some point.
So don’t worry,you will have your two sigils of force on your full berserker min-max damage greatsword warrior eventually! :V

really anything that involves you changing weapon skills (ele attune, engi swap, grabbing a warrior banner or any other weapon that sits on the ground) with the exception being transformations (shrink/mist/rampage/animal forms/etc.) iirc

Attunement swapping counts as a weapon swap for Elementalists. I suspect anything that changes your weapon (including equiping a kit) counts as a swap. In the past, there was no cooldown on the swap trigger, making sigil of battle enormously overpowered for elementalists. There’s a 9s cooldown on it now to prevent that, which incidentally nerfed Warriors with the fast-hands trait a little bit, too.

Should’ve been in-code from day one. All you need to do, really, is follow the same sigil logic for MH+OH combos, to avoid ridiculous Sigil combos (For instance, managing to double-effect Superior Fire/Air).

(Eh … woulda expected a bump warning, if this topic were like a month or three old … not a week. /shrug)

All you did was confirm exactly what you meant.

You are asking to make 2 handers OP… THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!

to get your wish they will do what I said… nerf the weapon so you can have your desire.

Think before you post and before you answer.

2 handers have the highest damage ratings of the game.. mainly due to being slower then 1 handers.

Your desire would unbalance the game so as to fix this imbalance to get what you want they would nerf the 2 handers.

Sheesh the ego that some people have in these forums. To think they are all perfect and better then someone else to try and degrade them in a response when they are clearly ignorant in how MMOs are made.

I have been a customer of MMOs for 20 year. How about you?

Cuz you know, thief and warrior were at all comparable to ele pre nerf…

Ele needs to get over it, they are still good. The only difference is you’re no longer a unstoppable force who can jump into a zerg and pop out moments later unscathed.
