Dungeon is way too hard.

Easy dungeon. make it wis random pug party 2 necros 2 elem and guard in 35 min…. nee 2 buff
Just came to the boards to see the first “this is too hard” thread after beating it for the first time. lol
People were asking for nerfs right after Tequatl was updated, but it still ended up being an incredibly awesome fight- this game needs more challenging content, not less challenging.
or they can buff all the other dungeons up to this level
Make 20+ more threads and maybe they will replace it.
tafu→tata→dredges?

tafu->tata->dredges?
I’m suprised they just didn’t replace the tree with a clown car.
or they can buff all the other dungeons up to this level
Will be good reason to ignore all live story dungeons. More time for funnier stuff.
Glad so many folks enjoy the new content. Last fun content for me was Sanctum (Halloween was great too!).
I like the dungeon overall but the ooze segment needs to be fixed. Make the kitten oozes friendly and then I’ll gladly PUG this. As it stands I’ll only do it with organized groups.
People left after trying the ooze puzzle once. What is the mindset of that. Then people start swearing and acting as if they have a clue. It was not enjoyable. It was not unbelievably hard though. If people actually try no problem. Needing to reform teams every 5 min is a pain.
wow already? lol
the fact that we already have a thread like this is a good sign in my book that its a decent dungeon path
Finished it a little while ago. (PuG group from LFG tool, although not exactly average as I think the average AP in there was 8000+) I think oozes could be tuned a little bit but all in all it’s a mechanically rich dungeon. (The dev comment said to pre-damage the elementals and then kill quickly when you are pulling the oozes, which feels a little gamey and probably just suggests the elementals should have less health.)
I liked Slick and Spark and the platform room. Clockheart seems to have a bug that teleports/sticks people sometimes. All in all that’s an okay fight, though not very PuG friendly because of the fact that once someone goes down there’s basically no way to revive with three or four gears spinning on top of them.
Once people learn it, the clear times will drop a lot. Although experience suggests unless it can be shaved down to 20 mins or so people will choose to run the simpler dungeons. But you can’t please everyone.

Dungeon is not good, please don’t nerf it.
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
Pre-launch, Colin listed things that make MMOs bad. They are all now in GW2.
I see there is a troll that found a way out of class forums and into a new sub-forum.
Not really too hard if people talk, listen and work together (lol, weird saying that but some people just don’t understand how to play in groups).
Dungeon needs a bit of tuning and glitch fixing, but I didn’t find it that fun.
Ahaha. Remember when AC was too hard? Or Arah? Yeah. Let it be something that’s briefly challenging until you learn the best way to do it.
This dungeon path is really easy though…
Tyr Sylvison – Warrior
Illyiah – Revenant
Annoying content does not equal challenging content.
Too hard? HAHAHAHAHAHA, say what?
Half the dungeon, including the final boss, can be solo’d. You only need extra people for the Ooze “puzzle” and the lightning room.
Few hours after patch and you cry for too hard hahaha.
GuildWars 2 is a game based on the skills of the player.
I am sorry man, I don’t want to offend you or your party, but you guys are not so good players
Takes practice man, try try try.. learn from other people.. learn the mechanics.
Instead of making this thread, you could make a thread what you find hard to do.
lol, folks mindset worries me more and more ;(
GuildWars 2 is a game based on the skills of the player.
lol, I hope this was a joke.
Annoying content does not equal challenging content.
Indeed. And nothing is more annoying than escort quests. Except for escort quests in which you escort hostile targets.
LOL, this dungeon isn’t too hard. I can say it is average, only the last boss is a bit dificult (wiped a few times at him). Otherwise i enjoy it and i find it fun (you need to think not face roll kill everything). More content that requires grey matter to use
Ooze part is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to hard way way way way way to hard. That’s all i have to say.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.
I’d just like to remind the people who say the dungeon is too hard that people said the same thing about all the other dungeons just after launch and every change thereafter.
Then after a few weeks everyone speedruns through it easily enough. Just give people time to learn the encounters (And yourself) and it’ll be much easier.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •

Well that’s how they introduced the game :P
But this dungeon just need an IQ higher then 80 I think.

Videoproof or trolling?

It’s possible to do it with only 1 player per Ooze. You can have 5 players in the dungeon. If you fail at this, you’re doing something terribly wrong and might want to stop for a minute and discuss a strategy.
I came to this forum specifically to find a thread like this, so I could have a laugh.
A modicum of co-operation and it’s a cakewalk. Really, how low do you have to sink before content is acceptable? When the boss just drops dead in front of you and a big banner flies overhead with confetti saying “EVERYONE’S A WINNER!”
Resident Thief
It needs nerfed in so many ways if your going to add this to a rotation, it is way to hard risk vs reward and needs toned down in a lot of small ways.
Otherwise, people will do it once and never come back again.
it needs to be hard. because gw2 is lacking difficult content.
and other than that explorer mode was never meant to be for pugs or bad groups.
edit: look at your description: “Roleplayer {} Friend {} Professional Princess Saver”
….
there is your problem.
Did this dungeon with my guild, we wiped a few times during our first try, but got to the end & thoroughly enjoyed it.
This dungeon is not too difficult! Stop asking for content where you just walk through it without actually having to play the game.
I like the dungeon overall but the ooze segment needs to be fixed. Make the kitten oozes friendly and then I’ll gladly PUG this. As it stands I’ll only do it with organized groups.
explorer mode is meant to be for organized groups. and they said in an interview they want to add paths especially for organized groups.

Neither.
My party was utter **** and died within 10 seconds after they got up. I solo’d one ooze while the other 4 players did the other. I solo’d Slick and the last 20% of Sparki after the other 4 players died. I solo’d the last 40% of Spur after the other 4 players died. I solo’d 5 of the 8(?) hologram-generators, after, you get it by now, the other 4 players died. Ended up doing the Clockheart with 1 other guy and 3 dead on the floor. Soloing the optional events (running officer, keeping lionguard alive, keeping Turma above 75%, destroying the 3 Airships) is equally easy.
Bring food and skills that act as dodges.
I am uninstalling Guild Wars 2 after being one of it’s staunchest supporters. I loved your living story, your actual story, dodge rolls, the art … But the developers are too interested in pumping out pay-to-vanity items that they cannot create quality dungeon content.
Test your dungeons, make them fun to play. Set class rolls. Do something. Because I’m leaving.
It isn’t too difficult. You need to coordinate and understand the mechanics in this dungeon. Did it with my guild and we got to the end. Wiped a few times but we learned from the wipes. This is how it should be

and guess what? the tequatl event is now dead, at least on my server, we’ve been doing it every day since it came out, and now everybody just got sick of all the waiting and stooped doing it. There are now not enough people there and the event is impossible to complete.
I would like to THANK Arena for this dungeon.
Completed it with guildies without ‘dulfy’ help, I enjoyed it very much. And the best thing is we got meta on first run, so we don’t have to hurry anywhere now %)
I’ve tried then run with PUG, we’ve made slimies even faster than with guildies but party had not enough good dps to do next one in time. Though i believe they’ll make it in 1-2 try after i had to leave.
Very fun and diverse dungeon path, great job.
Maybe only the meadow with wurms is kinda boring.
Can’t wait to try that achievement of axe guy.. can’t imagine how to right now!

Instances SHOULD NOT exist in a Massively Multiplayer Game no matter what name they have
Daecollo/Talathion you played Eq2, were common on their forums, you should know that a GW2 dungeon is no where near as hard as an Eq2 dungeon…
PSA: Dungeons are not closed instances of 5 player PVE, that’s what personal story is.
Just came to the boards to see the first “this is too hard” thread after beating it for the first time. lol
Same OP, you can’t even gauge if it’s too hard or not on the first day of it’s release. People haven’t figured out the best strategies to beat it yet, so it will seem harder and longer than it really is. Give it a few days and good dungeon teams will be making smooth fast runs of the place no problem.
I mean, if someone asked me if Teq was too difficult on the first day it was released I’d probably have said yes. Guess what, it’s not. I think anet did a nice job on this one. Visually, it’s the most beautiful dungeon to date, TA’s looking like it should have from the start now. Gameplay wise, it’s nice and diverse, none of the mechanics are too difficult once figured out but all together it’s not bad. Yes, it’s long and difficult on the first run but that was true for the Aetherblade Retreat as well, and it turned into 20 min speed runs a few days after release..

Not all of us are super pro but I will tell you this it is a challenge but not too hard. We had 2 people leave but we did mange to get it done Engineer, Guard, Ranger, Necro, and Warrior.
Wrekkes-Engineer Kore Rok Thief-Asraithe-Ele
I guess it’s not easy enough to do single player then, ah well just more new content that I can disregard…

Lol yea, hard dungeon. More like the best dungeon I’ve played in GW2 since Flame and Frost that requires brains and coordination.

im pretty sure you will be able to create a MMO without instances and make every other MMO look like trash
I didn’t find ooze that hard, i have however hit a brick wall with PUGs and Spakki and Slick. I bet this whole dungeon runs a lot smoother in an organized group though.
I just manage to finish it. Thing to me is I probably never do it again, just like aetherblade retreat.
You spend a few hours learning the instance just to run with another pug tomorrow.
That’s why I really hate any hard dungeon. You really need to have a fix group else you’ll spend hours everyday running with people never done the dungeon before.
The dungeon is not too hard, its a great dungeon.
I for sure am going to run the dungeon again. I have 2 more 80’s both of which I plan on running the dungeon again before server reset.

In my group, myself and one other guy kept completing our ooze over and over while the other 3 guys on the other side kept having issues. I think you get less spawns with less people escorting.

If a lava ele is alive and he sees ooze, the ooze is dead. Time and time this happens again.
