That said i havent had any problems with necro in duo/trio. Its only solos the short end the necro. Which sucks major balls. Because necro lupi solo is my favourite lupi solo despite it being pretty awfully slow.

I find it hard to believe you didn’t have any problems with necro duo at Lupi, sorry. You simply lack DPS to burst him through phases and you run out of dodges, reflects etc. Even with d/f ele traited for vigor, energy sigil and a guardian/mesmer, you still run out. Maybe I’m just bad, though.

A good way to avoid wall exploit anet should code it IF HP==50% then go invulnerable and stop casting and go into phase 3 as first priority. The Casting should be interrupted in 50% so it won’t continue to hit himself. But anet don’t care about dungeons they only care about casuals who press 1 1 1 in open world.

Well it was ele, guard, necro. WoR was enough for phase 2. Shield of the avenger for the rest. DS to supplement. :P

All it takes is one guard to carry the necros defence. And you dont need a mace for it. The damage in that comp isnt that bad.

Kewl. Now remove either ele or guard from that and you lack either reflects or DPS.

The problem is only one class cant solo him now. But thats more of a problem with that one class. Still pretty annoying.

Unfortunately I can’t stream so I just made a video instead. I wanted to kill him at least 5 times back to back before I died/got bored, however I got white screen DC’d between my 4th and 5th kill, and I didn’t feel like re-doing P2, buying mortars or socialising to get the P3 orbs done.

I’m a terrible guardian (like for kitten’s sake I failed to invuln the grub twice) and I don’t even have a scepter or undead slaying sigils, so the kill times were a bit 2013ish, but if even somebody as bad as me can do bugged lupi on a guardian consistently with the only build modification being taking an energy sigil, then guardian mains should have no problem.

I did reset him at around halfway through phase 3, when appropriate, since phase 3 is long, dull, and is hardly affected by the auto attack bug.

I did it on guardian because that’s what the person was complaining about, but it’s not like class really matters except Necros.

Mace isn’t needed if you have a stamina signet, but IDK if it’s still worth taking so you can camp GS a bit more.

I know a few people who have done ranger who just haven’t recorded (or uploaded yet). You can even do it double 1h sword but GS just make life a lot easier especially if you get bad swarm RNG. (GS-SA) I’m not anything close to a ranger expert so i didn’t want to upload my horrendous times :P

You talk about horrendous because I didn’t have the b***s to record mine, only screened. Saying that it was a disgrace to the noble art of soloing is an understatement.

And didn’t Miku do a nightmare mode Lupi solo after the change too? I know I remember watching him get kitten close on a first person nightmare mode (risen Knight with Lupi).

The idea that top tier players can’t still solo Lupi is just wrong. It just seperates us “I’ve soloed lupi after the top tier players showed me how” from the actual top tier players, I bow to them, and I do want to learn to solo him again, but I simply don’t have the patience for the failures anymore.

What is with this fgs killing? Some kind of trolling or anet implemented “fgs oneshot” mechanic with one of their last patches?

Im guessing he was implying thats a pic from before fgs was nerfed.

Which is clearly false because fgs would have been used at the start of the fight but that pic shows it was only used 5 seconds before.

Also one person in the chat is talking about engineer daily which was introduced a long time after the fgs changes.

Also the cooldown + charges left of FGS and the utilities hint that this picture wasn’t taken a year ago.

Whatever you say, no-signature-anymore guy. That was literally the first 4 attempts of Lupicus after not solo’ing lupicus on a guardian for 6+ months. I could spend 5 hours doing it over and over on stream to you, but I feel like that’d be a waste of time and resources to prove a point which was already proved 2 years ago. The mechanics he was talking about was specifically sacrificing utility skills though, not a 5% Sigil.

And yea, there’s probably hours upon hours of footage of me and other players wiping with Miku on stream, but that’s hardly representitive of my average playing, because when I play with Miku we kitten around, generally don’t care, and type in chat more than we play. Maybe some better footage to give an idea of my average playing would be when Miku and I first started duo’ing fractals and we were actually making an effort.

That’s why I removed my sig – because I do not represent my guild with my opinion. Whatevs, I still think the encounter is pretty darn difficult with the necrid bolt bug if you don’t have reflects on you. Reflects obviously trivialize this, thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Necromancer is the only no reflect class.

I should clarify, not being able to consistently do bugged Lupicus doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a bad player, just bad at Lupicus. Although being bad at Lupicus can indicate to being bad at other areas of the game.

And yes, I have no problems with calling somebody bad at Lupi/bad at the game as a whole, even if they’re in rT.

2 hours of constant wiping in duo (albeit they started fooling around after ~1hr 15 minutes) at Lupi. Miku is easily one of the best eles in GW2.

You can solo Lupi with necro in full zerker too, it’s just kinda exploitable, though.
