I really hate those trinity threads. The people there just can’t accept GW for what it is. It isn’t perfect by far. But trying to make every game into a wow clone is just pointless and boring.

The best thing when I read the “like WoW” comments is that as someone who was into MMOs before WoW, it was the biggest dumbing down of the genre and killed immersion almost completely by making a more casual friendly game to gather a larger following. I don’t know, I know I have a pretty big Bias because WoW exploited the whole “target the casual” idea and with it changed the genre forever and I’m not so sure it’s for the better.

True, I think Nintendo did the same thing with the Wii. And I never liked that either. I understand a larger market means more room for profit. But my ideal is always do dance with the one who brought you. Long after the casuals move on to the next big thing its your hardcore audience that will still be there.

If i’m using the FS/Spotter Ranger build with zerker armor, but with soldier trinkets and golemancy runes, a 10% sigil in the mainhand and a rage sigil in my OH, am i an elitist or a PHIW?

I’ve actually seen goemancy runes relatively often in my few fractal runs. (I’m only lv 20 or so…)

Of course we roll jademaw, if that happens.
I mean this battle is meant for followers to shine.

I wonder, if there’s a dungeon guild out there, commited to troll PUGs.

:D, man, I feel old now, but loved when that happened. It always reminds me of my favorite raid leader who would just say “don’t suck!” as the only instructions for raids. We were a team of a hodgepodge of well experienced players such that we didn’t need more instructions. He could have Leeroy Jenkins’d it every time and we would have had the same results Ahh Nostalgia.

I’ve got a complete set of golemancer runes on my (full zerker) golemancer warrior (complete with golem mini, golem backpack and asura golem elite utility ). It’s awesome fun to play that character (and the only way I can stand playing that class at all ), but I’ve had many a memorable moment with that golem misbehaving in dungeons myself. I’m afraid my dungeon running friends are dreading the days when I feel like bringing my warrior to dungeons, although I’m not 100% sure if that’s because of the runes or the backpack .

It reminds me of that one time in arah… we were on ts and someone invited a friend from sc. I was on my former charr warrior, named Kitty something, and this guy kept calling me that for the entirety of the run. “Kitty, swiftness? Stealthing now, kitty; hey, kitty, come here, kitty kitty”.
It was really hard not to burst out laughing for everyone on that ts. I saw a friend of mine muting himself at suspicious times.
I don’t blame him at aIl… in fact, I was kinda pleased that he of all people recognised my true nature. Nice hooman he was.

Except for that one Arah skip where you actually jump on the top of an invisible wall to move forward. That one is ok.

I still find myself trying to climb that coral-thing at the ancient ooze in arah out of habit.

Instantly getting punished for doing so, by being teleported right in front of a turret.

P.S. Is this my negativity talking, or I’m not the only one that is worried about the new trait/skill unlocking mess? How much money on it being a mixture of NPE and fractured? Like, your characters without enough map completion all kittened to hell with locked traits and skills and being forced to grind the open world to get the specialisation?
I fear I’m gonna hate the guts of it.

From what I read on the update to traits, going from 1-80 gets you something like 80% of all traits/skills possible, you will have to complete ~65 open world skill points to completely unlock everything.

So now on my mesmer I have every trait and skills but she’s got like 10% map completion, meaning that it’s gonna get all kittened up, losing skills and having to grind open world to get the specialisation… since xp after 80 doesn’t count. Yes?

Yeah but its only a few maps gab! And the skillpoints are the least boring part of doing map completion. We can do them together. :>

Calling speed running absurd is so laughable, It’s been a thing for the last 15 years of MMOs. People did it on Ocarina of Time. Just, wow, such horsekitten.
