It’s brainless either from a caster’s perspective and from the receiving end.

From the caster’s perspective now it’s always a good idea to use confusion, because it will always deal a DoT damage → encourages spam when off cooldown

From the receiving end: you can no longer negate the effect of confusion by just not spamming attacks, because now they reduced the trigger-damage and moved it to a constant DoT. You’ll always take constant DoT no matter what you do. You’re also less punished if you don’t give a s#%t about the Confusion the guy applied on you because the trigger-damage is smaller now.

All in all, both sides being adjusted to allow more casual-friendly brainless spam of skills.

I would be very disappointed if they normalize it to the distance of in-combat leaping. It will be harder to get away and/or close gap. On an other hand, chill and cripple won’t reduce the distance, so it could be a positive thing for PvP.

And you haven’t seen the incoming nerfs to damage yet.

… and well, excluding the presence of new instances, I imagine moving around the open world is going to be more aggravating and annoying—ah, forgot, now we got gliders and mushrooms.

It’s good for me because I play shoutbow and people are smart enough to waste my warhorn #4 and my only stunbreak before butchering me 3v1 on an devastating Panic Strike sort of build. It’s also good for a front line Zerg v. Zerg to dodge through countless of unblockable chill marks and fields and what’s not.

Immobilization is still King and requires Skill though.

Yeah, I don’t awnt to comment too much on PVP because quite frankly, I’m not a fan. I will say this, the biggest reason is the whole disengaging thing, hate it. So this thing making it easier to disengage… well no surprise I"m not a fan.

The mobility change is the direct nerf to Shoutbow, not a Reaper, since they have spammable cripple in their Autoattack which is a part of their damage pressure. Before Chill is an ensnaring condition, it also has another devastating effect that slows down skill recharge and attunement swapping cool down. “Sorry ele, you’re food to the Reaper”. “Sorry warrior, no fast hand for you, get stuck in that longbow auto,” etc. It’s scary enough to even say it’s a nerf (before it is actually implemented). If you put the Reaper on the center of a point, people will have to decide to whether they want to engage or give up that point. The presence is tremendous there.
Before leap is even a thing to escape, thieves, mesmer, necro and ele are already abusing terrain to death with their blink. And people will still get caught in mid air immobilization during their leap because you just cannot dodge during that animation. So it’s a small positive thing for PvP, I think.

If we gather all the movement skills that fit this affected category, there are only a handful:

• Savage Leap
• Rush
• Whirlwind Attack
• Leap of Faith
• Heartseeker
• Withdrawal - It removes movement impending effect anyways
• Burning Speed
• Burning Retreat
• Ride the Lightning
• Rocket Boot
• Acid Bomb
• Jump Shot
• Phase Retreat

And uh, that’s kinda me too. I mean, it would be me if I weren’t so bad at living with myself without wanting to blow my brains out after 1 hour.

It’s weird because, when I wasn’t forced to interact with hostile people/authorities (at school), I used to spend lots of time on my own. I should be good at that, right? But no. I need people, voices around me – setting up plans for the day, sharing news, bickering, having weird-kitten freudian psych sessions…
I do have my group of irl “frienemies” I go out with in the evenings, of course, but it’s usually just a few hours of smalltalk and drowning in my dark beer of choice for the day – 4 guys/gals holed up in some seedy pub ‘til 1am… then ok cya next time and you go home. It’s cute how people call that “socialising”. Real fun indeed.
Now I sound like an kitten. They’re nice guys, just… the brigade’s internal relationships are quite antagonistic, mostly because there are so many neurotic girls and there’s a lot of drama almost weekly.
(Like you wake up and find someone sent you 69 messages… no joke)
Reading used to be fun… now it isn’t. And movies well, now I take weeks to finish one, because I’m so jaded and I have the memory/focus of a goldfish.
So what’s left, beer…. and beer. And work. And have some more beer. And internetz.

I have gradually increased the amount of different anime that I watch and can see myself turning uber casual on GW2 fairly soon based off of how crappy the future for it looks.

I’m completely with you on there being nowhere else to turn to. The only MMO that looks promising is Black Desert.

Wildstar looks like a giant nickelodeon MMO and I have no interest in it, TERA’s controls suck, the characters are less aesthetically-pleasing than GW2’s and the combat doesn’t seem like an upgrade either.

MOBAs have always been on my bad side and I loathe the existence of LoL.

Not really sure what’s gonna happen with me. Unless I can find a proper longterm replacement I can’t really ditch GW2. :S

Chili’s, Casseroles, Stews, and whatever other types of “lets throw everything tasty in together” type of meals. He made this onion/potato casserole thing for a family get together I missed but had leftovers… it was amazing even if it was a grey pile of mush.

And deSade, I’m just finishing my Event season at work (read work full 40 hour work week then do another 30 hours on the weekends), or well I finished but everyone in the office is at a conference so I’ve been having to do my job and their jobs the best I can which means long frustrating days. But, I’ve been thinking picking up a evening/night shift somewhere would likely be better than coming home and drinking whiskey while I slowly doze off watching a movie just to wake back up at midnight and hate myself because I can’t fall back asleep which means I’ll be dead at work the next day.

Ugh. It used to not be so bad when I was the only one who had a terrible outlook on this game but stuck around. Now we’re all just hanging around to watch the wreck happen, huh?

Remember when we used to think “Man, the next dungeon is taking forever, I’ll bet the dungeon team is really gonna outdo themselves with whatever they’re working on now!” Now…yeah. That’s loooong gone, I really don’t even know why I care to watch what happens next.

I’m sorta switching back and forth between ESO and WS. WS has really fun group PvE, and ESO is amazing solo PvE (group PvE maybe good too, but solo is so much fun I haven’t really tried it yet :P). ESO also has really great graphics and character customization to make up for WS’s eyebleed :P

That’s been me the last few months. I never realized how draining a kittenty project at work could be, but this last 9 months have just about killed what enjoyment I got from my job. I’m hoping it comes back at some point, but it kittening sucks to feel this unmotivated.

I was such an over-achiever. I got a PhD in quantum chemistry at 25. No kitten. I worked hard until I got that. Now I just don’t care. I burnt out so hard from all that time spent stressing and working and researching…working two jobs while being a full time student to make rent, ugh. I don’t know how I did it. These days I actively reduce responsibilities. They’re rarely worth it.

Which nicely segues into why the whole ‘start a family’ ain’t what I’m looking for right now I’m incredibly lucky to have a wife who’s with me on that, that’s a fight I don’t want to have….

I used to laugh at “drunk dungeon night” It’s like, wait a minute? isn’t that every night?

I have this wonderful glass, I come home, fill it with whiskey, chug it down, then the relaxing begins. I don’t know what I’d do without this glass, honestly it’s my scientific measuring tool, I don’t know exactly how much I drink, I just know if I fill it up to above the top etchings I’ll feel good in about 20-30 minutes, then fill it up to the horizontal “half way” etching every 45 mins or so and I can maintain it throughout the night. When I don’t have this glass… all my measurements are off. I freaked my brother out this weekend at work when I just filled the whole hotel room glass.. “what the kitten are you doing?”

But, hey, I’m not the one who brought up the family stuff. I ain’t family material. I do need to get on Wildstar more. And, your wife seems nice, though I mainly say that because her character’s surname made me giggle I’m pretty easily entertained.

Over-achiever is quite the opposite of me. I think I set a record for the most 69.5’s in my school (which they kindly rounded up to C’s) but thankfully in all honors/AP classes so I ended with a 3.1 GPA thanks to some easy A’s from Concert Choir (no I can’t sing worth kitten) and German (teacher got along with me and my older brother such that she agreed to simply not count homework grades for us and just tests) I basically got through school based on teachers for whatever reason liking me and doing well on tests… until I hit calculus which I guess doesn’t come naturally and you actually have to study, whatever that means.

Right now I’m saving up for a boat, get that and get live aboard status and I can have cheap rent with free utilities and just sail away from everything and everyone anytime I want. Ahh the life.

Oversharing is the only way I know to share anything. If I spill the beans, I’ll spill the beans all over the kittening floor…. and perhaps even pee on the carpet just to make sure. Always been like this. I have a very… loud presence.
Whenever I get drunk (now I’m not, just exhausted, which kinda loosens the tongue aswell), I say the weirdest kitten, surprising everyone and freaking people out. I know people don’t want to talk about the bad stuff, I know that, I just… /shrug
I feel like I’ve already said that, but I keep forgetting what I said and to whom.

I burnt out so hard from all that time spent stressing and working and researching…working two jobs while being a full time student to make rent, ugh. I don’t know how I did it. These days I actively reduce responsibilities. They’re rarely worth it.

Which nicely segues into why the whole ‘start a family’ ain’t what I’m looking for right now I’m incredibly lucky to have a wife who’s with me on that, that’s a fight I don’t want to have….

I’m basically your dark twin living in the world beyond the mirror. Everything you are, I am the opposite; everything you did, I did the other way around. I managed to burn down and fall apart… doing nothing that normal people would call stressful. I know, I know. It makes no sense. Don’t ask, don’t tell.

I personally have no interest in building myself an utopia with a woman that doesn’t exist and never will – consequentially, no interest in spreading my sickly and distorted genes. BUT… Isn’t it awesome when you agree on something with the people you respect and love? There’s no other feeling in the world I like more. You’re lucky.

I used to laugh at “drunk dungeon night” It’s like, wait a minute? isn’t that every night?

I have this wonderful glass, I come home, fill it with whiskey, chug it down, then the relaxing begins. I don’t know what I’d do without this glass, honestly it’s my scientific measuring tool, I don’t know exactly how much I drink, I just know if I fill it up to above the top etchings I’ll feel good in about 20-30 minutes, then fill it up to the horizontal “half way” etching every 45 mins or so and I can maintain it throughout the night. When I don’t have this glass… all my measurements are off. I freaked my brother out this weekend at work when I just filled the whole hotel room glass.. “what the kitten are you doing?”

:O the glass…. I know, right? The way even the dimmest light turns it into a fantasy, with some condensation on its surface and the smell of alcohol lurking like a ghost…
Hmmm. Fascinating, buuut I forbid myself from indulging in this pleasure, because I talk way too much when happily tipsy. I figured that if I drink only when going out, I’ll be able to stick to my poker face for longer periods of time.
Even my dog can see it ain’t workin’… move on.

I’m totally with you on the boat. I mean, not literally…. ehhh, that didn’t come out as I wanted… but I’d love to have one. I probably won’t even be able to afford the 50 euros for HoT, but I’d like… a boat… and then sail, and never come back.
