Actually played for the first time in like a month tonight, had some fun, did a PUG Arah p2, wasn’t too painful, I’m rusty but I did better than I expected with how slow my fingers were moving.

I may be hitting ya’ll up sometime in the next couple weeks when I finally have a bit of free time, tomorrow starts an epic work weekend (17 hour days are fun right?)

Was in SW and some guy wanted t3 DT, so I merged party. Then he whispers me “omg can you READ?” Took me like 3 minutes to figure out what he was talking about, then I left. 5 mins later saw his party again: “Need DT t3 NOT SILVERWASTES”

This one maybe isn’t so funny, it just caught my eye.. I have helped many people get aetherpath achievements, and it pains me to see someone asking for payment. The people joining are basically paying to help somebody run a dungeon.

Either this is a dev testing the expansion who has forgotten to switch to the test server, or…

Didnt take a screenshot but i saw an AC group with 2 warriors and 1 guard and it said zerk warriors and guards only 5k+ AP. I guess they wanted 4 warriors and 1 guard or maybe even the amazing 2 guard 3 warrior meta.

I also joined a group which was asking for a warrior and didnt have one. I was on ele. I said as i joined you dont need a warrior, ele is better. Got kicked instantly. :>

You apparantly have no idea what the meta WAS. Back in the day, you used to be able to run COF multiple times on one character without DR, to an extreme. People found out that running berserkers meant that the amount of gold per run you could get was best with most the party being warriors and one being a mesmer(for time warp). Back then we only needed one character who was a warrior with his berserker set and you were golden for the run: Easy, fast, stupidly painless. and eventually people found ways to make the other dungeons go fast with the same setup. Then Anet didn’t like the amount of berserker geared setups like that, so they put DR on the rewards from a single character running. In response to the DR, nothing changed, just people started leveling multiple warriors to continue the runs. I had 3 at the height of it"

Back during launch and a few months after, before Berzerker everything started to be too prevalent or required, I would do many dungeons on my Bunker Guard. It was interesting doing it with people who were Zerker’s and doing the whole zerker farm at the time because you could tell they weren’t actually learning anything mechanics wise about the bosses. Half the time these people would explode in less “optimized” groups that weren’t doing as much dps, and many times I soloed half the bosses in the instance by rolling appropriately, deflecting, debuffing, knowing the mechanics, and healing out my kitten .

Oh it’s an endless gold mine!

I tried to join an Aetherpath pug on my engineer when they had 1 guard, 1 ele and 2 warriors, as soon as I joined they asked if I can reroll to warrior. :/

After trying to explain how engi would be far better they came up with the classic hundred blades is 30k dps and warriors are highest dmg excuses so i just left them be.

Heh, that was my complaint back in GW1 too. For end-game content, Assassins basically only had “Shadow Form/Sliver Armor tank” as their sole meta-role. That meant that I couldn’t get into any groups with my dagger-stabber Sin. I made an Assassin to stab things, not be a tank!

That sounds like Nikaido. A year ago, he made a healing guard to roll with me and Jeth as zerker ele and war. We actually killed everything and even trolled colesy. He isn’t wrong about “carried by dps”.

Yuuuup, GW2 was made to get players away from putting classes into certain roles. If everyone learned to play their character without relying on someone else, we would be better off.

I couldn’t stop shaking my head at the 2nd one… seriously, WHY??? Please enlighten me, because right now, this takes the cake for the most stupid LFG I’ve seen. And they have a necro!
