Feedback/Questions: MegaServer
Not a bug. You can leave your feedback in the official MegaServer Feedback thread.
Good luck.
It is a bug when you aren’t being placed in the instance where you are supposed to be. Move it back!
Honestly, one of the things I would like to see would be rather simple to impliment. For guild rosters and the friends list allow people to see what IP for what Zone people are in. It would, at a glance let people know if they needed to ask for a Taxi to find their friends.
If nothing else it would do wonders for trying to keep the RP community together and make it easier to figure out where people are for World RP instead of constantly being trapped in the cities.
“Megaservers does what Gw1 did ala districts, except automatically. The downside, which really became apparent with HoT, is that we have an almost impossible problem to solve: how do we reserve space for all the people that will want to play together but are not currently playing together? Fans have solved his problem with taxiing, which is amazing, but obviously that is not the best solution.”

When I read this I was thinking: “But we already told you so, when megaservers were intruduced in 2014”.
Well at least there is hope, that they try to change something at the megaserver-system. Maybe they give back players the choice (like in the GW1 district System).
Well the thing is, with the release of HoT, what became a somewhat rare and minor problem has become a much more common and much bigger problem.
Yesterday I had the privilege to hear a leader or officer of some guild or other complain loudly about a nifty guild hall feature he’d paid for out of pocket. The guild portal.
Not having had any prior interest in the workings of guild halls, I had no idea what he was talking about, so Iooked it up.
“Add a portal device to the guild hall, allowing guild members to quickly travel as a group to missions and other destinations.”
Sounds great. Except, it put his squad in 3 different instances of the same map and in fact it took them longer than it would before he’d built the portal to get everyone together, on this instance where I happened to be present to witness his frustration, because it involved the extra step of gathering in the guild hall which took more effort than just linking a WP and have everyone just travel on their own.
I’m so glad I don’t bother with any of that.
