This is my replacement, really? You can’t even compare the two! Feathered has too many sharp edges for my taste. Anyhow, please post your before and after pictures to remember a beautiful armor, and maybe someone can show off a nice color scheme for the new set!

Why the hell has my armor changed in game? I bought the flame kissed armor awhile back, i log on today and it looks all girly… This is not the look i bought and paid cash for.

so it went from a reskin of human t3 to a reskin of the feathered set? wow, very glad i didn’t buy it now.

Indeed this works quite nicely for what it is. Now, next armor skin set releases need to be unique skins we dont have access to anywhere at all under any circumstances please

Yeah, they said you could get a refund if you asked them when they said they were going to change it.

Yes, you CAN get your cash back … actually the gems.
Just send a ticket and ask your refund for the flame kissed armor.

Not as bad as I expected.

But…

Why no flame effect on the center gem of the mask? It was on the old one and I can’t see how leaving it out is an aesthetic improvement or would infringe on the non-flaming-at-all human T3.

The shoulders are going to create a lot of clipping issuers at that size. Would look better IMO if the shoulders themselves were a little smaller with the same flame effect.

I’ve absolutely always hated feathered. I know folks like it, but I was always hateful of it.

Im happy they went with feathered! It fits well with my wings of dwayna + my character’s name Mockingbird!

This. Still haven’t decided on the new skin. At work so I can’t check how it looks in game. Will decide later if I want a refund. From screenshots I’ve seen, it doesn’t look bad, but not good either. The shot on this page seems a lot better than what others have posted. From other peoples screenshots, it looks like the skirt isn’t on fire like the one Anet posted.

Female scholar sets are usually good, male scholar sets are usually bad.

Does anyone have pics of the male version to see if the trend continues?

They used Tier 3 armor and added some magma on them. Not ok.
Should at least had used Tier 5 or 6 armor sets.

I didn’t buy flamekissed before but now I’m having the urge to buy this version, it looks amazing.

sigh and I think support is down because of an overload. No getting my gems back anytime soon

I would assume so, since we know there’s record of what was transmuted from the transmutation splitter.

I’ll be making a request today, sad thing is i’ve also bought a set for my friend as a gift and he doesn’t like the new change either.

T3 reskin was abit much but this…this just beats all.
I was hoping for a real creative skin, not just another copy paste job.

Yup, the medium is a reskin of the medium karma armors in Orr and the heavy is a reskin of some mid level karma armor (pit fighter is the name I know it by).

I really wish feather armor didn’t have the tiniest stupid looking shoulders in the game. If not for the shoulders the set really wouldn’t be all THAT bad…

Same old issues on norn females, im glad nobody at anet even took the time to go LOOK at how this would turn out on said models
