Lost Shores Feedback Thread
Yep. Enjoy the loot you got for actually completing the event, because my server is still bugged and won’t proceed past the first part.
I’ve read through most of the posts here and several things I noticed were: a lot of folks spent more time dead, trying to rez another player, or trying to rally themselves than anything else. It is difficult, if not impossible to rez anyone down if you, yourself are entangled and frozen to the ground as you bend down to help.
Anther thing I noticed was, since I was a Ranger, I kept myself at range but still was hit by unseen enemies until the screen rendered them on top of me. I could see other players, just could not see the enemies until they were suddenly upon me and by that time it was too late as I was unable to move.
Also, I noticed that no sooner had I bent down to help rez someone, my character popped back upright without completing the function…sort of like that function was interrupted.
And finally, even though I was within range most of my attacks showed up as “Obstructed” or “Out of Range” for no reason.
I truly think Anet should rethink their setup for events like this one. The entire Lost Shores event was mostly bugged from the start. I never got to finish Phase 1, was able to do some of Phase 2, and of course finally completed Phase 3…sort of.
My take on this was it was not fun. I game because it is supposed to be fun, unfortunately what I’ve experienced these past several days was not. I do not understand why there even was “one-time events” planned in this manner.
If you plan them, at least allow more time for folks to finish them. I suggest making it more than just one day per phase. Perhaps making a one-time event for the year to last a week would be much more feasible for everyone.
And, if you make them once a year, you have the liberty of bringing them back the following year with perhaps a little different twist and more convoluted story just to be intriguing.
I would like to see things like this happen once a year with some different twists to them. That way, I will actually anticipate the events and can plan my time for them. Not everyone can attend events that are so tightly setup as to preclude their attendance. A lot of folks have family or business expectations that prevent them being able to attend. Events in a game they happen to enjoy playing would probably also be much better received if you thought about it from this angle.

-Southsun Cove. The area is artistically decent, and not out of line with similar geographies, having said that, the tropical seaside and shipwreak features do get used alot. The inhabitants are really quite limited in variety, feels to me that its a alpha iteration of what should be a richer island. For example where are krait, hylek, risen or quaggan, or their remains, considering the surrounding regions populations, heck where are the usual inquest meddling scientists?
The acual mobs are understandably tougher thought some are quite tough for conventional melee based approaches, yet really easy for long range kite approach, sadly this seems to occurs too often for the higher content, restricting enjoyment in weapon diversity in favour of optimal set ups.
While their density and minimal ranged cc is far more pleasent than Orr, the hp and combat powers available don’t make them appealing, also the loot rate from the larger karka seem skewed, i have not gotten loot of the vet unless i personally about 25%+ damage to it.
-The jump puzzle are good, and consistent with the standard of ones in the game i feel.
-Phase 1. The quests were bogged down quickly due to bugged npcs. This i found to be sloppy and careless further enforced by tales of the awful lags in the 1st fighting part. Perhaps for future, spread the ‘attack’ simultaneaously so event occurs in several relevant regions for the same event step. Add a quest tracker too for the papertrail quests eg ‘interrogate Noll at Hanto trading post’ the mail as a tool is not that intuitive, especially if clue locations are not known. This applys to the other quest to gather bits for the researcher, a tracker indication all 3 were needed b4 a handing would of been really helpful.
-Phase 2. Missed apparently laggy fight part again. The DE escort of lionguard on the island was fairly decent in the chain DE of Orr type way, the option of DE split was not obvious at the time, partly as ppl were adjusting to the mobs attacks, parties in overflows and laggy mass attended combat. The sequence was good upto when it stopped. I seemed to missed the dialogue or whatever that was ‘event over, come back tomorrow for finale’ . I wasn’t alone in that sense of confusion either, so the massed zerg sort of broke up and milled about exploring. The fights were often brutal wipes due to the champ stomp attacks and the vet rolls and acid puddles, particularly when these attacks overlapped.
-Phase 3. Took over all too long to complete, a one time epic event shouldn’t really be longer than say a movie or football match for time commitment, its no accident that such things are 1-2hrs. The mobs were too frequently super hp mobs that were quite tedious to whittle down once the figths were stable, but the mass wipes due to acid puddle saturations and rolls were awful, mostly due to the powerlessness of your actions defensivly, dodging just landed you in more poisonous goop til no dodge and cond removers left so dead. Or that the champs hitting for 13k twice in a row making melee not an option and the zerg tactic of shoot it and rez the sod that got hit. The DE event sequence was however good, but i’d prefer smaller hp mobs to speed up reinforcment stages and the vet/champ grinds. (same is true of most dungeon fights too). The rewards were suprisingly good, but the inclusion of precursors in the loot tables soured it for the many that got mediocre exotics.
-Fractals of the Mists, not entered it yet as i’m not happy with ascendent weapons and agony mechanic, but the core idea of a series of mini dungeon repeating with increasing difficulty is great. I saw some previews of Fractal weapons, have to say not to my liking, too artificial and plastic looking.
-Ascended Gear. I feel this is a very bad direction for the game future. It is not what i want, infact i found the easy reach plateau of exotic stats very liberating and refreshingly different to the horrifically un-fun gear grinds of nearly every MMO.
-Crafting materials and recipes. Seem largely pointless, other than being there for the sake of being there, the recipes on the whole are not great. The lack of bank spots for the items is a stupid oversight.
-Consortium Chests. After halloween chests. no. if there is stuff i desire i’ll buy it on tp and let some poor sap gamble. Why not simply put skins on the shop, that we can preview and buy directly, why is that so hard to do? and while there lower the cost of consumable on shop to an acceptable sum, consumables should cost same as snacks or music tracks not restaurant meals or cds, as it stand i won’t buy shop items for cash as its not worth the cash value in gems.
1. I really appreciate this great game.
2. I really appreciate your attempt at creating a special event.
But, wow, what a flop. The first phases were so bugged that I simply gave up. It was a waste of time. And so the fact that I was unable to be at my computer at the exact hour of the final event was a matter of indifference. Didn’t care. I would like to have cared. A “one time” event? As in one hour out of 24? You left out half the planet. It’s a global game. Geez.
1) Eliminate dodge-or-die style attacks. In all seriousness, I think I saw one karka roll take out a few dozen characters – while they may be big, there’s got to be a point at which the bodies they’re rolling across are going to kill their momentum.
2) Take the sting out of death in mass events by removing or ameliorating the penalties. For instance, repair NPCs in the location during and shortly after a mass event might waive their usual fees as their contribution to the struggle and in recognition of the player’s roles as front-line combatants in the fighting.
Hi draxynnic I read the post and found myself agreeing then I realized who wrote it lol
These are both excellent suggestions. The design of the event had mechanics that really made the issues with lag even worse and these could have been avoided.
One-shot attacks should be left only in instanced dungeons where lag is minimized. An open world event where you know there will be a massive zerg is the last place you want this mechanic.
Lessening the death penalities would help but an additional annoyance from dying during this event was that no one wanted to waypoint so players just lay there twiddling their thumbs. This was very boring and made the drawn-out tedium of the event even worse.
No one used the waypoints because it was far too irritating navigating the zone due to the terrain design and mobs that cripple and inhibit players from getting around the zone to a very annoying degree. It was simply safer to lay there and wait rather than trying to run from a waypoint and rack up more armor costs getting killed just trying to get back to the action.
Waiving armor fees and keeping the event near waypoints would have gone some way to making this event less annoying.
(edited by DoctorOverlord.8620)
I think you’re both right.
There was/is certainly a culling problem and it would have been a million times better if we could see things as intended.
But, I had minor lag spikes here and there and having recently upgraded my computer from above minimum specs for GW2 to way above minimum (2.5ghz duo core to an Intil I5 2500k, 3gb ram to 16gb ram, a new motherboard but same GPU) I can tell you if your comp is on the low end you suffer for it, a lot. “Minimum Requirements” just means the game will run, not that it will run well.
gaming from eq1 loving gw2 from beta kicked from event wondering if its worth continuing after this disaster
Yep. I played through the event twice. Once on my laptop (where I missed the chest) and once on my much better desktop.
The laptop was super laggy. Had to turn everything to low. Mobs took longer to appear. Everything was choppy. This is a mixed Anet/pc issue.
On the desktop everything ran quite smoothly even with higher graphics, but mobs would still appear too late, oftentimes right on top of players after they died. This is an Anet issue.
I would like to share my “horror” story of the Lost Shores event.
[TL;DR – Australians/NZ had an awful timeslot, why not have the event rerun during the day.
Why does the chest despawn so quickly, it’s crushing to be denied looting the chest after such a long and draining event.]
After the Halloween Event I was looking forward to the November event, and with the Fractals dungeon I was really enjoying myself with my guildies (except that Wisp gathering instance, grr). That is until today’s one-time event. Really it was just poorly thought out on multiple levels and left me feeling extremely bitter, disappointed and hollow.
Being in Australia of course the event started at 7am in the morning, I was only aware of the event once I logged in at about 9:30am when everyone was spamming Lion’s Arch with their new loot and precursors. It may be my own fault for not being informed the previous evening, but some blatant forewarning would have been much appreciated. So half my guild and I were already feeling as though we had been slapped in the face, after having previously attended all the one time events, which had never had any loot in them worthy of feeling dejected over.
Then out of pure luck, one of our members happened to get slotted into an overflow with the event still in progress, there was a shining beacon of light for those of us who had missed out! After many attempts of trying to join the same overflow we all fought our way to the boss and defeated it! Unfortunately myself and one of my party members were down, with swarms of karka hatchlings preventing anyone from reviving us. So we ported back to our nearest WP (which was very far away!) and ran back to the chest. I manged to open it, but when my friend arrived to open the chest… oh, wait, what chest? It was GONE???
Really..?
So after the initial heartbreak of missing the event, my friend was left with a big fat nothing. Or rather a big fat pile of crushed hope and resentment towards Arena net. Was it really necessary to have the chest despawn, or at least in such a short span of time? We then tried to look for different overflows where we could try to do the event again so we could get them the chest, to no avail. Suffice to say they were really disheartened and they don’t see much of a reason to continue playing with these poorly designed events with WoW as an alternative.
I appreciate the work and effort put into the events, but I really hope that Arena net will listen to their disappointed players and not make these mistakes again. I enjoy GW2 and I believe it’s fantastic for a subscriptionless MMO, but I stay because of my friends, and if they are leaving I may end up moving on to other games too.
I think there are definitely things the team needs to rethink for future events much of which involve lag and loot distribution, but I wanted to talk about the things that really went well for me and my particular overflow server on Borlis Pass:
When we went out there it wasn’t exactly clear what we were supposed to do until the last minute, but once the escort quest started everything sort of fell into place.
We ran to the Nest area following the NPC’s up and then back down the ramp. When the first wave 2 – 3 Champion and Veteran Karkas attacked it was a bit chaotic due to lag. The things that hit us hardest were the poison and the rolling attacks. But after the first two major death waves, when we lost about half the group, people started to get wise and learned to watch for the red circles and avoid the poison. Keeping your distance from the Karka was pretty crucial. As a cloth wearer I was worried about survivability but I learned to time my dodge rolls and minimized much of the damage I sustained. Reducing the death penalties and expensive armor repairs for such events in the future is a great idea! That would encourage people to come out to these events and worry less about the cost. With all the hazards being thrown out from the Karkas and their spawn there was enough of a sense of danger to warrant the use of a more forgiving death penalty.
There were also some strategies developed by our little army that helped us be somewhat successful. One thing that was really impressive about our group during theses massive waves of combat where the Guardians. Staff guardians were throwing out Lines of Warding consistently as the fights progressed to help protect the middle line from being taken out too early by the Karkas air attacks. (those poison things they kept spewing out?) I also saw a bunch of people throwing out Shields of Absorption too. There were a lot of warrior banners out as well throwing out buffs. The Necros and Ele’s were also consistently using their water aoe heals and necro wells of blood, which helped a lot. The Mesmer’s time warp was useful in helping people take out the Champions faster. I think I saw a few Ranger buffs from spirits and Engineer packs too, but I’m not as familiar with those profession’s skills so I’m not too sure. The ones I listed are based off of what I could take note of.
Generally though we had a great mix of people fighting and reviving while we were on the ramp and also back near the camp where the mortars were stationed. I think because we had a good mix of people rez’ing and fighting that we were able to somewhat hold our own. Yes I realize there was a way point right next to it, but many people just waited to be revived. We fought the small mobs first before targeting the larger ones.
There was a lot of joking around, some complaining but for the most part I think the people who were able to stick around (not counting disconnects) had fun.
Again, uncovering the steam vents was a great way to control the Ancient Karka’s movements without relying on those big lasor cannons, so we were still in the midst of combat. The part where the Ancient Karkas tried to flee by rolling down the ramp was hilarious. The final fight (again, minus any d/c’s and other technical mishaps) was excellent and the ending cinematic was satisfying. The loot given was great as there was much speculation throughout the whole fight as to what we would finally get since there were only small rewards given at the end of each segment of the event.
Edit: I also wanted to mention that there was one guy in our group who after we had beaten the Ancient Karkas, remarked “This was the most epic event I’ve experienced in twenty years of gaming.” So for the parts that did go well I wanted to say grats.
I think a lot of people had a great time and I wanted to thank you Anet for making this on a Sunday. Friday is a bit tough for people to participate in since most people have work or school, but this worked out well for a lot of people, I think. I am definitely going to participate in these one-time events when I am able to and I hope we’ll continue to see more improvements in the future.
Brace yourselves, Wintersday is coming.

Here is my feedback:
I am annoyed that some people got to complete “one-time” events more than once, and with multiple characters, when I could not even participate in ANY of them. I had especially wanted to fight the final boss. Forget the chest, I wanted to fight. But to my disappointment, I did not have that opportunity, even though I was logged on before the event supposedly was to have ended, and tried every reasonable way to find/trigger the event during that time.
So, that being said, I add my disappointment in with the other thousands of players who feel cheated and angry.
Really loved exploring this zone with a friend and finding the hidden chests, and numerous puzzles in the land. The final even was a little long to us, but we had a blast.
Looking forward to more updates
Keep up the good work.
Dispite some of the lag issues I had, the event was a blast for me and my friends and was floored by the amazing rewards at the end. Thank you A-Net for putting in the effort in this challenge event and even more so for the rewards at the end. I look forward to whatever might comes next.
My biggest problem with the final event was the two huge batches of “reinforcements” that the ancient karka summons: the hordes of Veteran Young Karka. Those parts should have been cut down to about a third of the number of summons, it was just tedious. It wasn’t difficult or fun, you basically just stood there walking back and forth avoiding the few red circles while auto-attacking for the 45 minutes it took to get through each of them. It wasn’t a bad idea, just the number of kills it took to progress the bar was excruciatingly boring. I don’t mind a long drawn-out event like that, I enjoyed the different objectives you had to accomplish as you herded him back to the hive, but those two parts (the 2 batches of reinforcements) just went on and on.
Loved the geyser puzzle with the floating rocks. We really liked how it went on further even after the chest. You’ve done a great job with the exploration content in this game.
My thoughts:
So… the Consortium invades the home of a race of undersea horrors, the karka, causing unknown damage.
The karka then retaliate by attacking what they perceive to be the source of the attack on them, Lion’s Arch.
Lion’s Arch then retaliates by deforesting a section of the island, destroying the karkas’ egg nests, the actual eggs, we slaughtering them indiscriminately, and the whole thing ends with us killing the most ancient member of their race.
And we’re the good guys?
I don’t even know why I’m bothering to come in on one of these threads but hey, whatever.
" I was only aware of the event once I logged in at about 9:30am"
You didn’t look at the website? Or the forums? Or a fansite? Ok, that’s plausible I guess – but what about the banner on the launcher? ‘Lost Shores Event 16-18 November, Read More…’. I’m guessing you just chose to ignore that. What about the extra NPCs in Lion’s Arch and all the buildup? Sorry, but Arenanet and the devs have gone as far as possible to let people know about what was happening this weekend short of putting a letter through your front door.

Coming in GW3… “Karka as a Playable Race!”
This is gonna be awkward…

What he said. I have a job and in the small time frame it was ran I could not be on. You should have given the players the key to open the epic chest instead and once it is dropped then you open it with the key. Instead alot of people who paid $$$ for this game get screwed out of content by doing what they do to pay for this game. It could be ran multiple times incase of issues and only get rewarded once.
something similar happened to me. I always rez people when i see them downed but i tried to rez this one person and a wave of bugs killed us and while the last stage of the event was winding up we had to rez and run back. we didn’t make it back in time and i didn’t get a chest. not once and i walk away with nothing, i was really upset and yeah i am going to probably quit. i was so angry that people got to loot the chest 4 times etc. Because of bad event times/unfortunate deaths and on the last try sever went down, out of 2 attempts and hours of work i still got nothing
Nobody is going to miss anyone that leaves the game like a dramaqueen, posts it on forums like a 9 year old, and then trolls on everyone’s post like a kitten.
As for your case Opakkus, just submit a report in-game or via customer service. The issue is being looked into, and you will get compensated as long as you participated, and killed the boss at the final phase.
It will take several days to work on the compensation, but try to turn the fright into an advantage to appreciate their response and information you may have misunderstood or uninformed a bit more.

I spent almost 7 hours on this event. First time crashed. Second time dc’ed and server is full when I tried to rejoin. 3rd time when we are half way done, there is a new build to remove this event.
Feel like i am kittenface.
Absolutely atrocious that you separate those in to the haves and the have nots.
You’ve segregated the community and by allowing some people to participate, by giving precursors to some people, and excluding the rest.
Absolute rubbish. That’s all I need to give my farewell.
Just wanting to add my feedback to this thread….
Overall I was pretty disappointed with the event. It felt rushed in execution and development. The bugs that prevented completing each phase one time was a little frustrating but forgivable.
The vagueness from the developers which lead to me skipping the finale leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I was expecting a one time event during the finale yes, but then finding out this one time event lasted for several hours and then rewarding players with lots of sellable loot was saddening, yes mostly sad at myself for feeling left out.
I live in Australia so the events start timing was early Monday morning for me. This made it impossible for me to attend the event unless I took time off from work which was a bit of a stretch since I had taken a week off at launch.
I love the game and I love what you are trying to do. But I fear by alienating the minority in favour of the majority for these one off events, I will have no choice but to move on. Please cease one off events in GW2.
It is unfair to ignore dedicated players that may not be able to log in at certain times to experience one off events and we miss out. We don’t want to watch videos of the event on youtube. We don’t want to read every second persons joy of receiving an exotic precursor from a one off event. We want to participate.
Iam in Australia. I think having one off events are going to alienate those who miss out. As there are also people in the suitable time zone that have to work.
I felt annoyed that I missed out on a boss fight and a chance at some nice loot.
Iam on the verge of quitting, if you don’t learn that people hate one time events and continue to have them Iam not going to bother with GW2 or any other ArenaNet games. It gives me the impression you don’t care about your customers. And I wont bother wasting any more time playing or money on buying gems.
I’d rather pay a monthly sub for better content that you don’t miss out on.
So this event will never repeat and only happened at one specific time that wasn’t even announced? me and a friend have been following this event from the start and participating when we could but both of us are only active during the night, i have a night shift job that pretty much guaranteed i couldn’t be there for this boss fight and now we are just out of luck?
I just feel robbed right now, I’ve been reading around and i see the ANET team responding to those who disconnected during the event but nothing about us who couldn’t even participate. Do we get nothing simply because we couldn’t be there?
I would appreciate a response.

Yes I am aware that it was a misjudgement on my part, as I have stated. Regardless, my gripe is primarily the loot denial for hard work. The rewards for putting in effort should be made readily accessible to everyone who wants to and does participate. :/ All of these disappointments could have been easily worked around if more thought had gone into the planning of the event.
well i will agree with th OP that i felt that this event wasnt more carerfully planned with percursors drops. i too felt like i dont really want to play anymore. but than i thought about it and i remembered that guild wars 2 as a whole is still a very very fun game and i still have a crap ton of stuff to do on it. yeah it sucks cuz i waited all month for this event and than i had to work today and i tried all night to get on to no avail. but i realized that i cant let this foul experience ruin the whole game for me. i still have more events to look forward to. seeing that they released 2 huge events in under 2 months of game release shows that arenanet is hard at work to keep the game engaging and fun and fresh. so lets try to not get so upset and realize these things can happen and it sucks. but that the game is still fun and we will have more events to look forward too
I agree with the OP that the intentions and design of the event were excellent – great new map, and nice to have a moderately challenging new 80 zone. The new dungeon looks very well done and I’m sure when the bugs are ironed out will be excellent.
The final event felt wonderfully epic in the time I was able to play it, but all this was let down by the ultimate lagfest and disconnections which prevented me, and many others it would seem, from finishing the event and enjoying the unusually generous rewards.
The problem with this event for me was that there were just too many bugs and glitches. A few bugs in a big complex MMO are of course forgivable, and Anet clearly does try to work hard on correcting these. Unfortunately with Lost Shores there were problems with every part of the event on my server, Gunnar’s Hold – horrendous lag with the opening event, glitches in both scavenger hunt quest lines with Noll eventually fixed but the Miyani one never was, and finally the diconnections in the final event.
It’s not the end of the world, and I still love the game, but it’s a shame to see the wonderful ideas and work of the design team let down by the execution and technical performance of the servers.
The Path Least Travelled, Gunnar’s Hold
I was honestly disappointed with the event for probably every reason every person has posted in this thread. But I will enumerate none the less:
1) Every time I logged on, the events of Phase 1 and Phase 2 were bugged and incompleteable. (I just invented that word)
2) I had to work on Sunday during Phase 3 meaning I missed out on the “epic one time event.” I ate my crow and sallied forth until I learned that the event was still going on in some overflow servers – imagine my excitement! Three attempts and six hours later I was unable to complete the event due to disconnects, crashes, and the coup de grace: “A new build is available.”
As whole, “The Lost Shores” was disjointed, chaotic, and felt pointless up until Phase 3 when, at least, a player could score some sweet swag – if they were lucky enough to able to participate. I am mostly disappointed by this last part because, all along we’ve been told that Anet wanted every player to be able to access their game – to take part in it in some meaningful way. It seemed to me that this would be especially true of their holiday and other themed events including “The Lost Shores.” It was up until tonight that I felt this was true.
at least you could attend the event if you woke up at 7am.
event starts at 4am my time, and I have to work at 9am.
forcing players to wake up at such weird hours is bad.
I don’t mind missing out the event, I don’t mind missing out some cool non-economy breaking items like 20slot bag or a exotic earring.
But seeing news that precursors has been handed out like it was a normal rare…?
That’s just so dissappointing to the point that I wished I’ve never bothered playing this game.
I persisted through three dcs the made me restart the entire event again on a different overflow. After five hours running through various parts of the event in different overflow servers I finally concluded it my first time.
Looking back on the experience, through all the frustration and persistence, I can’t help but think how awesome the entire story and feel was. The boss battle stages, pushing back reinforcements, shooting boulders, the teamwork needed to complete the event, the jumping puzzles, lead up and story were allvery well done. I can tell you put some very hard work into this and appreciate it greatly.
Once you get a handle on the dc’s, bugs, and lag it is a great inventive and enjoyable experience.
really is a disaster on anets part, would hate to be their Lawyers they would be shuttering at the crap that has gone on, To separate a global game too suite a few then everyone whom has paid for the game( and some have paid more then others) bad karma bad
Loved the event.
The DC however is pry keeping me from playing again. Thanks for the sour taste!
Many of us who have significant real life commitments simply cannot treat a game—no matter how compelling—as if it is a full time job. If you want to run “one-time” events that many of your customers will never be able to access, then fine. But don’t make the reward for participation in those events something as valuable as exotics or precursors. I think we can all agree that the response to this has to be well thought out and fair to those who make an effort to participate in this community. We come to this game to relax and have fun…real life obligations give us enough stress and disparity! If this is mishandled, I wonder how many (including myself) will be permanently uninstalling GW2 in favor of entertainment that doesn’t infuriate.
Kamahil: the kitten with a precursor on his first run. No lag bugs or dc fornhim.
This post is a mockery bto every one else.
I agree with Lyell, no kittening apprecation. I have played GW1 sence beta and still play it love the game, but holy kitten GW2 is a joke and the events are horse kitten. kitten this.
Many of my guildies are upset because they got kicked out thanks to a new build being uploaded. I just wanted to mention that because they are not happy with not receiving any loot for all their hard work. They also were not clear on where to go or how often the event was supposed to occur.
My own experience with the second day event:
I really loved this escort DE as well where we had to run around the island creating new paths and clearing out karkas! The bridge building was fun to watch, Tyria has the most kitten carpenters around.
The permanent content was supposed to be through the new fractals dungeon and the special one-time events are meant to give players a sense of a changing dynamic world. Many people were complaining that none of their actions made any difference in tyria, so that is the reason why some of the events only occur once, or at least for the duration of one day. I missed the first event on friday and the Mad King’s entrance through the lion’s arch water fountain, but that’s because i had other obligations. I think they tried to make it more fair by making this event on the weekend instead of during the week.

about being told about the event being a one time thing, that doesnt help all of us. Even if i had know the event started at 8am i would not have been able to participate. I was busy all day and couldnt log on till 4pm and even then couldnt finish the event as there where crashes and a new build. events should never be one time only, people miss out on it and get angry at the game.
i have nothing but absolute disgust for this event
First off. Great event other than the lag and bugs. I love the new dungeon.
Secondly, to all those who are crying about not getting a pre cursor. Mind you, I did not get one either, however I placed an offer on the TP for 165g and it netted me one. I am happy with the outcome. You are not entitled to ANYTHING in this game. It is free to play and to think they came up with ALL this in just 2 weeks, just blows my mind.
Thirdly, they did not reward precursors solely to reward certain players. It brings down the average price on the TP, making it significantly easier to farm the gold and buy it.
I’m glad you all love kittens as much as I do

It wasn’t the fact we didn’t get a precursor… it was because of this
What is this precursor thing people are talking about
I feel like this guy is paid off by Arenanet. He’s spamming threads about how awesome this event was.
I appreciate that the testers on this game are able to get a solid 8 hours of sleep on the clock.
Loved today’s event, start to finish. My whole guild lined up early so we could be in the same instance, and we had a great time at it.
Also we’ve been running the fractals pretty much constant since it opened.
Thanks, ANet. This was a great weekend.
