No longer able to ress in combat?
People paid for the whole game and therefore should be able to access the whole game no matter what their skill level.
Everyone has access to the whole game. There’s nothing to stop people aside from the ‘leets’.
It’s down to:
- Whether people stop being ‘leet’ and actually work on building the community, and be patient with the people who haven’t done every single run before.
- The ‘unskilled’ work on improving their skill.
There’s nothing wrong with failing encounters as long as you learn something from them mistakes. There is something wrong if you can beat an encounter just by repeatedly dying and running back.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
I agree the community can help. The L2P argument however is anti community… we have people of all ages, people with disabilities, people on old computers.
Does it affect anyone running the dungeons currently if easier and harder versions (with difficulty appropriate token rewards) are introduced? Definitely not. Keep running the level u like.
Many people have expressed having trouble with instances on these forums, in particular people who wish to attempt instances at level, a more inclusive approach ensures that server populations stay healthy
And again Anet themselves have expressed in their ‘2013’ preview video that they wish the game to be more inclusive.

Afaik. There’s a guy who plays League of Legends with a pen, using his mouth because he has a disability, dudes a real legend ;P
but yeah difficulty levels included could be fine, so long as the rewards are adjusted accordingly and we don’t end up with another “LFR” garbage issue. The only issue is that you’d end up with a million folks doing the “super ezay mode guize cuz it’s fasterer” and no one will want to play the more challenging modes, “cuz repair billz” which just could further toss this game down the “flavorless grind” well of doom, as if it had been kicked by a beardy man screaming “SPARTA”

L2P isn’t anti-community in itself, and can be a valid statement.
If someone just tosses L2P out as an insult, then yes. It doesn’t do the community much good.
However, if someone proceeds to tell you what you’re doing wrong, or if they explain the fight before hand, I’d argue that helps build the community.
Me personally, I’ve only got to fractal level 3, and have only done AC.
If I got grouped up with a bunch of first timers willing to learn, I’d have all the patience in the world. At the end of the day, we were all first-timers at one point. We all get through it, we struggle, we come out victorious and chances are you’re going to make friends at the end of it.
However, I don’t have the patience for people who don’t bother attempting to learn the mechanics and such. The ones who rely on waypoint zerging to get through content. I also don’t have patience for elitists.
As for disabilities, after seeing the below video, I don’t believe that it necessarily holds people back:

There seems to be a lot of mix views on these changes, regarding WP rezzing, to come. Not sure if someone already suggested this but,
How about leaving story and exp mode the way it is. (With the wp rezzing and gaining the 60 tokens once per run at the end). Then add another mode on top of it called “Heroic mode” or something. In Heroic mode you can’t WP while your party is in combat and you get harder enemies. But you also get better loot and 80 tokens for completion. This way no WP in combat is optional for the players who want that real challenge.
Eh, ANOTHER mode…not what this game needs. That is going down the WoW path in wotlk. Normal, Heroic for dungeons. Then for raids you had 10/25 normal and heroic, then you could activate hardmodes in ulduar..gosh
Adding in another mode will just have people skipping explorable and just do this new heroic mode thing. I dont like it.
Just add in a few more waypoints to help out with wipes.

A great deal of single player PC games ship with the ability to play easy/normal/hard and you just go ahead and play what you want. You dont sit around worrying about what difficulty other people run. you just enjoy yourself at whatever level you are comfortable with.
Is it really such a radical suggestion to open up the instances in this way to ensure the broadest access?
What other people do in their groups has no bearing on my group or yours… we all choose our groups. I personally like to fight all the mobs in a dungeon, others like to skip them. I can happily run with like minded people without begrudging someone else the way their group likes to play.
The point I made about age/disability/computer power was made to illustrate that we have people of all levels of skill playing v’s explore difficulty as the only option for tokens. I know parents that have young children in their laps playing, I have a friend who struggles with green poisons and red circles due to colourblindness and have people in guild who lag right out in instances who are extremely capable players in other games that don’t stress out their computers. If they offered an easier mode with dimished token rewards to cater to these people, in what way would it affect what you are doing?

Just to clarify, you’ll no longer be able to use waypoints when a party member is in combat inside a dungeon. This is prevent people from using waypoints to rush and kill bosses or clear areas, which is not intended game play.
Man, now it’ll be such a pain in the kitten to run new guildies through dungeons after this. I can imagine the new guys all dying at things like AC exp p3 boss and leaving the rest to do everything.
As for PUGs..
“LFG xx exp path x 80s only with experience!” will become ever more popular hehe
Sucks to be the new guys, sucks to be you~
