I’ve got a charr engi called Bonfuse Burnpurr and a blue Sylvari with the charred hair thing called Sappyre

I couldn’t stop laughing of a human called Paranormal Potato xD. I can’t recall their profession though.

I know plenty, but posting them here would just get me an infraction.

I’ve actually seen a few versions of this. My friend included. (Also a sylvari necro)

Though my favorite literary reference was a character I saw named Rex the Stout, to whom I professed my deep love. (A love I extend to anyone who gets it.)

So, sorry, I don’t find many of these to be “best” by a long shot.

Some are marginally amusing but the thing is, they reflect the fact that the people that the people who create them don’t care about the game, or the genre, or the effect they have on other players.

You’re right on the last part though, I don’t care what kind of effect my characters’ names might have on you. Why should I? Seriously, find something else to get offended over… Geez.

One name that made me laugh hard was a sylvari named Super Saiyan Tree.

To be honest, I haven’t actually seen this player, but I know he/she exists because I came up with the idea and wanted to make a yellow/golden sylvari warrior with the long hairstyle, named Super Saiyan Tree, only to find out the name was already taken.

I always wanted to make an all Sylvari guild called “Destiny’s Hedge”

I had a ranger pet called Boaromir.

My Asuran warrior is called Empirical Data.

I have a thing for making (when not already taken)—characters with disease names with an oxymoron undertone.

I have a ranger, and was after a few "Slayer" APs a little while ago. It occurred to me, as I was on my fifth or sixth lap of beasties in a smallish area, I could come across as rather suspicious. So I renamed my jaguar, "I Am Not A Bot."

Saw a thief in sPvP a little while back called Mr Steal Yo Life.

One of my guildies has an alt called Wtb Abby Whip.

My GL’s often told to put down wells by his wvw commander, so he’s named a necro Wells Go, which is what the commander calls out.

My favourite to date was a norn guardian called Savage Guardian. Made me want to listen to all the stuff I grew up with again.

A sylvari named The Fail Tree.
A keyfarmer named Keyanu Reeves.
A ranger named Hermione Ranger.

I believe it was a Ranger named Katpiss Everstream

Not sure if this is considered naming and shaming (this thread), but I really hope not. I saw one of the best names I’ve come across in the game last night, and this got me to remembering some other names I saw way back when I made my first toon. I found an asura one, and he’s name was “Suck My Lollipop” with the guild tag [HARD]. Best name ever.
