A while ago there was this enormous Black Skinned Afro Wielding Male Character, he was a thief, and his name was ‘Token Black Guy’. It was during the old days of the Queensdale train, and as a token black guy (and rather fragile thief)…He was often the first to die Ahahaha

I saw an asura guardian named Nigh Invincible.

I have sylvaryi named Darth shrubbery, and a charr guardian name charrdian unibrow, a human female thief named anneshank.

Ive got a few interesting names
Sylvari Engi named Taylor Stick
A human engi named Swedish Backpacker (she looks the part)
An Asura Ele named Iggy Asura
A human ele named Fresh Airiana Grande

I don’t know if either of these were mentioned: A charr name Johnny Charrson, and one of my favorite—an Asura named Soupbun. I don’t know why it makes me laugh, it just does.

A huge norn warrior named “Too Much Protein.”

I have a sylvari named Ziix Is Ccapxl. Unfortunately, nobody has ever asked me why.

My bf and I wanted to go with “Beauty Anne” and “De Beast” (human and charr), but alas, no more character slots.

I saw this ranger once, his name was something like ‘wtb qq wts pew pew’. Maybe it was the other way around – ‘wts pew pew wtb qq’.

Either way it was funny. He wanted to sell damage and buy cries.

Long story time for those who like a little more serious naming.

When Revenant comes out I intend to play it on a female Sylvari, mainly because that is one of the few race/gender mixes I don’t have yet. So I thought, why not look up the scientific name for a plant associated with rebirth? It turns out that the lotus is associated with rebirth, but the scientific name for the species I was after didn’t work. However, it turns out that it had earlier been misclassified as Nymphaea Stelata, which I thought was an awesome name.

Having chosen the name I used my key farmer slot (being used at the time by Kia Hunter) to put in a holder for the name, only to find it had been taken. So, whoever owns the name Nymphaea Stelata I salute you for making me realise I was not as original as I thought I was. Also, keep an eye out for Nymphæa Stelata and know that because of you a lot of people are going to find it hard to add her to things.

I’m really hoping to see some of the funny ritualist names come back for revenants (as they seem to have a strong lore/thematic tie). No funny names have ever managed to top the rits I saw back in GW1.

Clumsy was Oops
and many other similar names, awesome, all of them.

Actually choked on my drink when I saw it.

Saw an asura running around named Whatam Eyedoing and a norn named Fjord Mustang.

I’m glad someone else said it. =P

But I did see a charr named Murrcenary. Maybe not the “best” name, but I chortled a little.

It is not the best name ive seen but surely a funny one in WvW: Garry Watergate.
