I would definitely like to see collection items, keys, and currencies be automatically deposited into a “wallet” of sorts like other such things are already, as it hogs up so much inventory space. Here is my thread. Hopefully it can get merged into this one! https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Suggestion-Currencies-keys-collections/first#post6283017
There is a lot of visual “noise” during combat that we need to focus on, and it would be nice to have less obstructing User Interface elements. Please give us a greater level of customization over the User Interface and make improvements that combat all the central screen clutter.
Thank you!

“Floating Power Trays (see below)
In the Tray Window, you will see between one and three lines of ten numbered circles. These are referred to as “power trays.”
You have a total of nine power trays, but are only able to view up to three at a time in the tray; more trays can be shown as floating trays. Each power tray is labeled 1-9 and these numbers are displayed on the left side of each power tray. You can cycle through these trays by clicking on the right or left arrows on either side of the tray numbers.
If you wish to change the number of trays you currently have displayed, you may do so by clicking on the arrow at the top of the Tray Window. Clicking this arrow when you have only one power tray displayed will cause a second power tray to appear. Clicking this arrow when you have two power trays displayed will cause a third power tray to appear. Finally, clicking this arrow when you have three power trays displayed will cause two of the trays to disappear, leaving only one. By default, you may also cycle through the number of visible power trays by pressing the right Alt key on your keyboard.
Floating power trays may also be opened by clicking the “+” at the top of the Tray Window. These trays may be placed anywhere on the screen, and their layout can be customized by right-clicking in an empty area of the tray. They may also be closed through this context menu.
Issue 23 introduced the server tray (sometimes referred to as the APB or “alternate power bar”), which appears at the top of the Tray Window. This tray is used to display certain Temporary Powers and Kheldian form powers. The tray cannot be customized and is hidden when not in use.
You can drag power icons from the Power Window to your power trays, and arrange them in whatever order you prefer. In order to remove an icon from your power tray, right click on the icon and select “Remove from Tray.” To move an icon from one slot to another, click and drag the icon to its new position. If another icon was originally in that position, the two will swap. (You may enable/disable the “Lock Powers in Tray” option in the General Miscellaneous Options to either prevent accidentally dragging power icons or allow the icons to be dragged.)
In addition, when you create a macro, if there is an empty slot available in one of your power trays, an icon with the macro name will appear. You may then activate the macro at any time by clicking on it. Pet command macros (for Mastermind and Lore pets) may also be dragged from the Pets Window to a tray."
https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/The_Players%27_Guide_to_the_Cities/User_Interface/Powers_Window
“The Powers Window may be opened by clicking on “Powers” on the outer edge of the Tray Window or selecting “Powers” from the Menu
In the Powers Window, you will see all of the powers in your selected power groups. Your primary power set will be on the left and your secondary power set will be in the middle. On the right side of the window will be several sets of powers, including temporary powers, inherent powers, any power pools from which you have selected, and ancillary or patron power pools from which you have selected, and ancillary or patron power pools.
In each power set, any powers you have not gained through training will be shaded and powers you have taken will appear brighter. Any power you have gained through training will allow you to right click to display more information. Powers that are not automatic powers (always active) may be dragged from the Powers Window and placed in the power trays in the Tray Window.
This window also gives access to the Combat Attributes Window and the Incarnate Power Window."

I wish there was a personal library in the Hero Panel for reading material, tomes, letters, guides, etc.
The guild boosts are an annoying pain.
It’s nice they are 24 hours. However that’s only useful to chars that only do one thing, like harvest or only PvP. If you switch to another type of activity then it’s useless unless you make a special trip up to your guild hall and run all the way over to the bartender to get another boost. If you change what you do on impulse then you might not have the time to change the boost (for example, doing a harvesting run and then decide to do pvp dailies and forget to get a boost before you’re in a match) or simply feel it’s not worth the bother of losing the boost you have to get another if you’re only going to be doing something for a short period since you’ll have to go again to the bartender after you’re done to get your original boost back.
Let us have a way to easily change boosts without having to run to the bartender. If we are only allowed one boost at a time then let us have a drop down menu from the guild icon or the guild panel to choose a boost.

Indeed. There are lots of interesting collections of books, journals, what not. And even the wiki interface isn’t always conducive to getting a good picture of the context, order, or connections.
1. Build templates
2. Customizable UI(like it was on gw 1, those boon and condition icons are too small ffs!!)
I agree.
I’ve now got 6 books in my bank/inventory (Marjory’s Journal, Scarlet’s Journal, Zinn’s Study Guide, Valis’ Journal, Bauer’s Journal and Kasandra’s diary) and I’ve deleted or consumed numerous other letters and notes that I would have liked to keep if I had the option.
A way to collect them all together would be nice, even if it’s just the books which we are (presumably) expected to keep.
At the risk of opening a can of worms it would be really nice to have a house to go around my bookshelf where I could keep other stuff too. One thing I always liked about the Elder Scrolls games was that you could buy (or in Morrowind ‘acquire’) a house and then keep all kinds of stuff you didn’t want to carry with you in there. I’d always collect interesting books I found on my travels and bring them home to read later. Usually at 3am while waiting for the shops to open so I could off-load all the junk I’d dragged out of a dungeon before heading back out.

I am pretty sure your Home instance was meant as exactly that, a “Home” but more than a house.
Though it could be upgraded a little with maybe an actual library/building. Or a place to “showcase” achievements, weapon/armor showcases, some heads of creatures, dragon claw, you know, visual stuff … well stuff for another thread.
(Side-note, the Charr home does not feel really, homely at all, more like a backyard where they parked old tanks, also Charr don’t seem like they would have a library, at all, or read books, …)

I think Cragstead in Wayfarer Foothills is a good example of what a player home should be like. There should be a spot for the player to have a farm of more than one of each node. I’d want to have a skritt like Nippkit tending it.
selling/buying more than 250 of an item at one time.
Its fine that most items have a stack limit of 250, but its pretty often that you need to buy more than 250 of, say, basic ore or logs or something.
I’m tired of needing to buy 827 logs or whatever and having to make multiple purchases. Why can’t I just type 827 in to the field?
Provide some kind of back button in the Dungeon Vendor in LA. It’s tedious having to restart the conversation each time to get into each category of dungeon armour or weapon. Better yet, just have all the different armours/weapons available as tabs in the vendor’s list, as you do with the laurel vendor and all his/her items.
I will be very clear: We need options for the solo players.
Back in time, in Guild Wars, we had the Heroes system. Why not implement this in the game? I mean, look… The major reason for me that made me bought this game was “Play your way”, but this concept was long forgot.
My list:
.Heroes system(like gw1)
.Option to open all bags(like recycler)
.Duel system(seriously, please)
.Home Instance needs more live, basically is a dead zone
.Guild Halls needs to be more accessible to small guilds(really small)

Only your second thing is a QoL suggestion. The rest of them are major balance or system requests.
If you do nothing else, can we have gathering tools auto-equip themselves if you have one in your inventory of the same quality?
For example, I’m mining a platinum node when my orichalcum pick runs out. It tells me I have no gathering tool equipped. How cool would it be if it just equipped one of the other orichalcum picks I carry on me and carried on mining. It would be cool. Ice-cold even.
EDIT: More ideas: it would be luvely if we could position the nodes in our home instance. I’ve got nine now and they’re scattered everywhere. I’d love to gather them all in one place, maybe in a plaza, and see them all together.
Also, it would be great to have my nodes appear in the guild hall, only for me. It would give me more reason to visit the guild hall.

They need a hero control UI like in GW1 also. There are some NPCs that help in Fractals but they are dumb. They get themselves killed.
I don’t know why ANet is show hyped up on pushing people to content that requires parties and LFG. Solo players who only come together in loose clusters to do open world events has been the majority of the players base and ANet is alienating them.

Oh, i didn’t mean that :|
Sorry.
- Change boon stack numbers to black in order to make them more easily readable at a glance against the white & gold boon symbol
- Add a text area in the guild menu for endless guild banner tonics allowing guilds/individuals to create a message that will be displayed to players who interact with someone using the banner tonic. Guilds could use it as a recruitment tool?
edit: grammar & additional idea
- Add a multi-item selection tool (similar to holding ctrl on windows) to select multiple items to destroy, salvage, add to mail, etc.

I second this! Every time I make a new toon, I always eventually run over to that vendor to see how the respective weight of dungeon armor would look on that specific toon, just in case I want to work towards obtaining the skins. But it is very annoying to have to start all over again, as you said.
My new suggestion: I do not know if this counts as “QoL”, but I would love for backpacks to be hidden when I set my graphics down to the lowest possible settings. The fact that they still show might affect performance, but I cannot prove that as there’s no way to show how it would run if all special backpacks were “hidden”.

This is brilliant. It could even works as a sort of mini-guild hall (with obviously a lot fewer things available).
If you (ANet) do it, though, I recommend NOT putting it into a place where you can exit into a city. Make it like the home instance portal stone.

Couple this with the “house” idea a few posts back, and they’re even better. Won’t have to rearrange the home instance if you have a house.
Oh, i didn’t mean that :|
Sorry.
You don’t have to apologize. Ideas are just ideas. He was just explaining why they probably won’t be added, not blasting you for anything.
Heck, if I got shot every time I had a not-so-great idea, I would be made of lead by now.
As other content gets more attention, please make agony resistance (progression in fractals) work more like luck, mastery or wvw/pvp reward tracks.
Also, please open HoT mastery track experience to gains in more game modes than story/open-world.
I just would like to say first thank you sooo much anet for implementing salvage all options, quantity boxes in merchants and account bound recipes YES thank you, You guys are the best.
Things I’d love to see added:
- Endless gathering tools added to the wardrobe
- Account bound gathering tool slots
- Build Saving
-Open All option for goodie bags
- Quantity boxes for mystic forge: like when we create something in the forge like lodestones in the window that pops up there could be a quantity box there giving us the option to make more if we wanted to.
- Keys added to wallet
- Account bound crafting professions: where when a character is lvl 80 we can choose to use a craft we have already maxed out.
-5 min drop buffer: Give people who dc during a world event,personal/living story, guild missions, etc 5 mins to get back on and not lose their spot.
-Save personal/living story instances: What I mean by this is if you do a story with a group and someone drops as long as someone is in the instance let them back in like a dungeon. If someone is doing a story alone give them 5 mins to be able to get back on and continue their story.
-Making living story instances soloable: Like the last heart of thorns episode is hard to do on your own. I think if the enemies had less health and a smaller break bar that would help a bunch.
-Tonics added to wardrobe
-Personalize Home Instances: It would be cool to be able to decorate our home instances to make it our own or even just be able to move our nodes where we’d like them.
-Pin active guild mission page: when a guild mission is active it would be nice when we reopen the mission’s tab in the guild screen that the active mission page is still open.
-Increase the amount of people that can be in a guild hall instance: it seems like every 5 people that hop in the guild hall at once we have to keep moving to a new instance.
-Add guild merchants to guild hall: like guild commendation merchant
(edited by Rozalina.3196)
When getting an Achievement Notification on the right hand pane above the Mini Map, clicking on the notification opens the Achievement Panel instead of dismissing the notification.
-I would really like to see the possibility to save transmutated armor skin sets and use them like a wardrobe feature. So I can access my armor sets with 1 click and be able to use different armor skins more often (could be unlockable with transmutation charges so they can be more usefull… I already have a lot and i dont want to change every armor slot, piece by piece if I want my old looks back or if i want a fresh look but keep my old as well) Same as in SW:ToR.
-I would also like some follower/companion system too that can at least sell my junk from my bags. Maybe some story content for them? (some love interest with your companion? any1? Or you can be the mentor for him/her… maybe both ?)
-And ofcorse mounts! Horse would be nice for a start.

Cartoon rendering – just like when you drink alcohol and the screen gets wavy, have a potion which renders everything cel shaded for a while.
I’d love to be able to wear arbitrary headgear with an outfit. I know outfits are designed as a single piece, but we already have the option to hide the headgear, so they’re already designed to work without their dedicated headpiece, so this wouldn’t require any modeling work. I’d just love to be able to combine that with an existing headpiece, like the Noble Count Outfit plus the Inventor’s Sunglasses.
Filters in the Food Effects section of the Trading Post to filter by effect, so I can search for all foods with Magic Find% or +Precision for example
1.) Please change Human male Greastsword animations ,because running around like a flag bearer is weird looking. Not to mention while standing having to the side like that is not much better. You could just use another race/gender animation for it to make it easier work wise(preferably something similar to the female human for a stance ,and maybe an asura male running animation). Ideally it would be nice to have a choice on weapon stance/running animation for all races/genders. Maybe add a gem store item that is account bound ,and adds this feature to change your running/stances in the hero tab ,or a new tab added to banks.
2.) Make the gathering tool slots account bound so players can just leave the tools in those slots ,and all their characters will have access to them.
3.) Get rid of the Transmutation charges ,and make switching your appearance completely free. I’ve seen it done better(DCUO which is a crappy game ,but got at least this done right) ,and you’ve already improved the dye system ,and added the wardrobe. So why not finish making the fashion aspect of the game better.
4.) Finish making the rest of the crafting materials bankable in crafting storage.
5.) Put more items in the wallet that are used as currency so are bags are freed up more.
6.) Not supper important to me ,but I wouldn’t mind seeing some capes added to game. After all it’s 2016 shouldn’t be any reason a major game company would have a problem adding them in.
Jogging, like escort events do. I want to be able to jog with them not run a few feet then stop.
My suggestions:
1) Add a mastery to allow player to use contested waypoints (or just eliminate the concept of contested waypoints), otherwise bite the bullet and add mounts (even though you can think of a glider as a mount).
2) Add server queue preservations buffers to address the issue of people DC’ing and not able to get back in the same map. (Duration of 5 minutes should be adequate).
3) Totally separate PvE and PvP combat actions, cool downs, duration to boons conditions, etc. to simplify the recurring balance issues occurring on both sides of the player fence.
4) Add a “Skip” button for all cinematics. Some of the stories cinematics are way too long to deal with especially when they are rerun with alternate toons. In addition, for those overly long story chapters add a skip through unnecessary mobs (if the player went through them once) to allow faster access to work the achievements, Auric Basin and Dragon Stand stories are an example of being way too long for rerunning).
5) Add armor, trait and combat skills sets….. PLEASE we need this one bad!
6) Add more currency or item exchanges (like old simple infusion agony orbs for the new ones).
7) Change to tiered loot in which performance (either by numbers or time) effects rewards. Solo a dungeon get 5x the loot for when a party of five does it. Do a boss twice as fast, bet 2x the loot or improved RNG. In addition this would eliminate the need for time-gates and make things like raids, or boss chains more attractive to a larger audience.
Jogging, like escort events do. I want to be able to jog with them not run a few feet then stop.
Or.. maybe the escorts could just go a bit quicker.
It would be great if we could turn experience scrolls and tomes of knowledge into lvl 80 boosters and other things.
One more suggestion: more consistency in the information mechanics across the game. Or a review thereof. For example, some creatures display an icon above their heads when they notice the player – not unlike the assassin’s creed games. This theme could be extended to more types of creatures.
Also, the coloured shapes on the ground that indicate attacks – some creatures display these, some don’t. It may not be appropriate for all creatures, but extending it to a few more would be good.
These mechanics develop over time, of course, so later concepts won’t appear in earlier creatures, but I think gradually they could be retroactively introduced a little at a time, especially the attention icon.
After playing in a map with a lot of verticality. Can the loot that scrolls on the far right of the UI be moved over, or up, or move faster? When you have a fair amount scrolling because you salvaged your inventory or just harvested a node, it takes a while to clear. If you get an announcement of an event right then (but no waypoint given in map chat) you can’t use the slider to change the map level because it’s under the scrolling loot. If the waypoint you want is on another level of the map and isn’t easily visible where you are right then, you’ll either need to stand there and wait for the loot to stop scrolling or go to another waypoint and hope that that makes the waypoint you really want visible.
Allow us to continue salvaging when encumbered. Let the materials pile up in the encumbered prompt and let us deposit all at the end of salvaging. The end result is still the same. Saves / extra clicking.
Restore right-clicking through the mail interface to bring up the context menu on inventory. This feature was removed at the end of 2012 / early 2013. Saves time / extra clicking.
Replace incompatible / unequippable soulbound items from the Mystic Forge with account bound. Gives use to useless items.
Replace soulbound inventory bags (Trick-or-Treat, etc) with account bound. Gives use to useless inventory bags.
Add new Mystic Forge / Crafting recipes to upgrade inventory bags. Gives use to useless inventory bags.
My qol suggestion is that arenanet starts to use many of the thousands and thousands of suggestions which the players have already made. No need for another suggestion venting thread to keep everything as is after people vented…
Please allow squads without commander tag to use the symbols (alt+shift+1 etc.). They can be very helpful for coordination and we would like to use them in WvW in a small squad without having to tag up every time. Thanks

Stop messing with player choice when it does not break the game. I mean, give the Elementalist and the Engineer weapon swap. If you take a poll you will find there are players who will not play their Elementalist because it has no weapon swap. Some people have the patience to level to 80 before shelving the toon, I don’t have that kind of patience. There are people I have talked with who are rather sore about this issue, but since they have other toons to play they just leave the Elementalist on the shelf and forget about it. Why discriminate against these two toons?
Why should a player be denied the ability to decide whether she wants to play slow and long range with a staff, then switch to fast and short ranged with dual daggers? Does it break the game? Is it unfair? Everyone else can switch from long range to melee range, can’t they? Seriously, stop messing over these toons for no good reason. It’s infuriating when you have to watch the devs mess up their own game.

Weapon sets for OOC swapping would be fine. In combat swapping would give ele access to another 20 skills meaning it would be possible for them to have access to 65 possible skills at one time. Sorry, but no. It’s not like a full conjure build is that useful, but its pretty absurd when you see that a warrior has access only to 21 possible skills and a ranger 22.
Better Underwater Combat.

Put the wiki and forum sites on the main screen, like the recent bug did.
Having the wiki link and the forum link like that would actually be rather nice. It would be much more intuitive for new players to look things up (or even to know there is a site) as well as calling their attention to the forum to bring some of them here both to lurk and to post. It would help bring up the sagging forum numbers.

Some further ideas that appealed to me:
1. Display the stat type in the item tooltip. Some items are generic and clear (e.g. Dire Pants of the etc..) but others are more flavoured (e.g. Beigarth’s …). There’s a large, and growing, number of stat types in the game and while some (power/prec/fer) are easily recognisable, it can be hard to remember them all, especially when transmutation gets involved. All I’m asking for is a little bit of text somewhere in the tooltip that says: berserkers or rampagers or whatever.
2. Extending the above, it would be helpful to see more info in the hero panel (Equipment) without having to mouse over each piece. I don’t know if armour pieces already show their rarity with their border colour (will check when i get home) but if not, it would let us tell at a glance which pieces are exotic or what. And with a three letter abbreviation next to each piece indicating its stats, e.g. “BER” for berserker, “RAM” for rampager, etc.
3. Have indicator devices in future events display their icons relative to the player rather than stationary in the world.
4. Provide some in-game indication of newly added achievements – e.g. a new section in the achievements navigation panel called ‘New achievements’ or maybe an email from the Tyrian Achievers Society or some kind of popup (like the one for daily tasks) where we can get a brief synopsis of the new achievements and have the option to mark them for watching.
5. Fewer dialogs – when picking up the sensors in the recent event, we’re asked to confirm that we want to pick them up. The prompt would be fine the first time, to provide some info to the player if need be, but after that it’s annoying. Where a repair station’s only possible action is repair, it shouldn’t need a dialogue before or after. Ideally, it would work like the speed mushrooms in HoT – just run through it to make use of its service, but if that’s too much at least just let us click ‘Interact’ with it and have it done without dialogs.
6. Don’t allow merchants to be spawned within close distance of a bloodstone in the jade event, or prioritise the bloodstone’s interact link above the merchant’s.
7. Add a merchant to BF that provides the usual salvage kits and harvesting tools. It’s perfectly in-lore for such merchants to supply the pact forces and it would allow players to dedicate more time to the new map instead of having to go to another map to get more supplies.
8. In the hero panel tooltips for accessories, rings, amulet or backpack, give some indication what kind of upgrade is possible. I was trying to put a crest into a back item and it was red – it turned out that it only accepted medallions. With the amount of dialogs in other parts of the game, this is one that would actually help to have it, stating: “This item only accepts medallions or below.”
9. Speed up the acceptance of markers on guild treks. You can stand on one for minutes, interacting with it and having no effect. They seem to take variously long intervals to recognise they’ve been clicked.
10. Allow bank tabs to be named, which may or may not have been asked here already.
allow us to permanently select which currencies to display by default in our backpacks
1. Build templates!
2. Build templates!
3. Build templates!
There is plenty of room on the selection screen to have more characters visible. It would be really nice to have at least 9 visible without scrolling, or 1 of each class, as that is the most common number of characters.
It’d be nice if PageUp and PageDown buttons helped scroll the list.
Or perhaps redesign the character select screen entirely, and model it after a MOBA layout. (Can we fit the 60+ character slots in that space? Hm.)
We don’t need the character so prominently displayed, and to be honest, anything bigger than an Asura ends up partially cut off anyway.
So, I drew up (literally) a proposal. Sadly, in MS Pain(t), because I’m not near my editing tools and wouldn’t be good enough for a full-color mock-up anyway. Forgive the lack of pixels, but as a bonus, enjoy added sort features and an on-screen daily notice!
