I speak for me and what i’m always hearing about this.
As i read future changes i saw this getting loads of new things when it’s just not worth it.
Barely anyone likes this and only uses those skins because they are good looking( not on my opinion). Every place i see comments of this, through the net i only see: “We need real new content” and some more things that i care to say.
Please don’t waste your efforts on this, work on real content like community says. I agree with them.
Hope it reaches GW2 Crew

Answer to all this comments

This for the people who aren’t able to talk. I’m sharing my opinion and the one’s around me, i’m free to say it, but you’re not free to be rude to it.
So you play a MMO to play 8-bit version, doesn’t make sense. We have said we didn’t like (not against it) and if i say there is community who doesn’t like SAB is because we have bases to say it. Ironically 80% are haters to this post and 20% know how to discuss. The one’s that calls us haters.
I would rather see Canthan Expansion coming to GW2! Then SAB part 2 coming!
This is our point.
GW1 had an essence that you could feel from the beggining, that good feeling of adventure, it was pretty much original.
I like GW2 but it evolved from a thrilling game to a game where you wear quaggans plushes? play 8-bit versions?
I had fun playing SAB first-time, but has completly nothing to do with Guild Wars.

Super adventure Box was MASSIVELY popular and when it first came out had a huge forum petition asking for its permanent inclusion. I too want more normal dragon adventure content, but;

a) Its incredibly popular, so SAB will get its content (which is justified imo)
b) I see no reason both cant (and probably are) be made side by side

Super Adventure Box is awesome. Easily one of the best things in Guild Wars 2. OP you’re the minority. The last thing I want is some crap story and more tiered gear. Yawn.. that stuff is uber boring.

My favorite things thus far: sPvP, Mad Kings Clock Tower, Super Adventure Box, Bazaar of the Four Winds. Everything else pales in comparison. I do have to admit though I did like playing through Aetherblade dungeon. The Midfight Boss mechanics specifically are what’s up. I’m hoping future dungeons all possess that sort of content. All of the other dungeons are pure PvEasy’ness

I actually liked SAB. I didn’t get much of a chance to play it before it vanished in a puff of disappointment (temporary, grr) but the content itself was pretty solid.

It’s hard to disagree with “we need new content”, but I do disagree with the claim that SAB wasn’t well-liked. I’m interested to see where it’s going. That is, if I can ever muster up enough desire to log back in.

ANet is starting to win me back a little with their talk of listening to our feedback that we want more permanent content, but so far jumping puzzles and dungeons are not doing it for me (though I do understand that others like them, so I’m not suggesting that this sort of content shouldn’t be worked on!). Personally, I’d like to see more renown hearts and dynamic events, or even some solo-friendly permanent content.

Edit to say: Yes, I do understand that jumping puzzles are solo-friendly. I just despise them with a passion I normally reserve for the truly terrible things in life, like violent crime or reality television.

The only….ONLY people that have issues with the SAB are the WvW & sPvP die-hards. But seeing as how the SAB is PvE content, who cares about those people’s opinions? They’re just angry that PvE is getting content while their type of gameplay is rather stagnate (and that’s how it really is in ALL PvP type scenarios). At least mini-games are a PvP mix-up, but …apparently PvPers and WvWers call still call mini-games “carebear content”. Sheesh!

Seeing as how a majority of the posts in this thread at pro-SAB, I believe that we are the community, and that we feel new SAB content is appropriate. If you hate SAB so much, you aren’t being forced to play it.

This is where I stopped reading. Please do not try to present your lonely singular opinion as having any more weight than it does. Are there other people who didn’t care for SAB? Assuredly. i’m not sure what server you’re on, but on TC, when SAB first came out, WVW turned into a ghost town. even the most hardcore WvW players took up residence in there (including myself).

as for the part about WvW players being angry that PvE is getting all the content, well…… yeah. duh. there’s blatant problems in WvW, that never get fixed. there are mindnumbingly obvious updates that need to be made (the commander system), that never happen. WvW has been the illegitimate step child of gw2 since release. instead of getting anything we actually need, we get a WXP system that completely destroys the game by turning all of the maps into a giant circle farm fest. when all of it could be fixed in just a single update, because there isn’t a ton of stuff that’s actually needed. it’s just that the few things that are needed are never given, while every 2 weeks there’s new living story content put out with new maps, new items, new jumping puzzles, even new PvP style games. after being neglected for this long, it’s no wonder why there would be some resentment.

yep, i know. it was to show the person i quoted that even those “hardcore WvW and PvP” players loved SAB. the second paragraph didn’t have anything to do with SAB itself, just the overall neglect WvW has gotten in the updates, and why there would be some resentment about that.

Sadly, they have already broken faith around the platformers in-game. Originally they were to be optional content, there for those that like them, optional otherwise. This release of the LS they have even gated voting , an important element of impact on the world, behind a mini-game platformer. I don’t do platformers and am unable to vote. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Very sad.

Did you actually try it? Even once? Because getting up to the airship is not even remotely platforming. If you use the lightning crystal near where the elemental spawns you don’t even have to jump, you can do the entire thing never pushing more than 1 button at a time or using any kind of timing or aim.

Many things are extremely fun and though I get no rewards, It’s worth my time because I’m not some “No Rewards in real life needs them in a game” Ex WoW Player.
It’s that easy.

And to the OP. You see how many people love the SAB. Don’t think you’re some kind of Holy individual who’s opinion is above everyone else. We don’t need more of your kind, the SAB is the awesome, it’s nostalgic, it’s well done and it’s a lot of fun, for many many many many players. I’m not sure why you’d be unable to vote. Even if you couldn’t get to the top, any mesmer could portal you there…in stages. Once you had the waypoint you could teleport up there and vote till your heart’s content.

It’s pretty easy as platforming goes anyway, but I think Anet put mesmers in the game specifically to help people who don’t platform.

That’s what platforming is here. Your skills are replaced by platforming skills and you use those to play a different game than the one you bought. What I object to is platforming taking over the core game, not how relatively hard or easy it is. When I play GW2 I want to play my character and his/her skills, not the skills of the month.
