Why insist on Super Adventure Box?
Super adventure Box was MASSIVELY popular and when it first came out had a huge forum petition asking for its permanent inclusion. I too want more normal dragon adventure content, but;
a) Its incredibly popular, so SAB will get its content (which is justified imo)
b) I see no reason both cant (and probably are) be made side by side

When I don’t know what to do in GW2, I do a JP. Because I like them and because I’m training myself for SAB part 2 !
Sorry, pretty much everyone I know (in-game) liked SAB, me included. Humans! Always thinking their view is the view of everyone else. Always pawning off their view like it’s the one and only. Thinking they are majority, when in fact they are the minority of the minority.
SAB always seemed like the most widely loved update they’be put out to date.
I missed SAB. I’m very sad :c
I am usually one who is harping about dragon content….and even I would take some SAB content to hold me over for a bit…that thing was sweet and i want to see the rest of the story.
Super Adventure Box is awesome. Easily one of the best things in Guild Wars 2. OP you’re the minority. The last thing I want is some crap story and more tiered gear. Yawn.. that stuff is uber boring.
My favorite things thus far: sPvP, Mad Kings Clock Tower, Super Adventure Box, Bazaar of the Four Winds. Everything else pales in comparison. I do have to admit though I did like playing through Aetherblade dungeon. The Midfight Boss mechanics specifically are what’s up. I’m hoping future dungeons all possess that sort of content. All of the other dungeons are pure PvEasy’ness
I actually liked SAB. I didn’t get much of a chance to play it before it vanished in a puff of disappointment (temporary, grr) but the content itself was pretty solid.
It’s hard to disagree with “we need new content”, but I do disagree with the claim that SAB wasn’t well-liked. I’m interested to see where it’s going. That is, if I can ever muster up enough desire to log back in.
ANet is starting to win me back a little with their talk of listening to our feedback that we want more permanent content, but so far jumping puzzles and dungeons are not doing it for me (though I do understand that others like them, so I’m not suggesting that this sort of content shouldn’t be worked on!). Personally, I’d like to see more renown hearts and dynamic events, or even some solo-friendly permanent content.
Edit to say: Yes, I do understand that jumping puzzles are solo-friendly. I just despise them with a passion I normally reserve for the truly terrible things in life, like violent crime or reality television.

Everyone I talked to loved the SAB, including me. You cant say nobody liked it before ever having played it.
Love the SAB – can’t wait for it to come back
Excuse me?
Barely anyone enjoyed SAB?
Please jump back into your alternate dimension and never come back, thanks. SAB was easily the most successful patch yet.
SAB was the most fun i’ve ever had in Guild Wars 2 since it was released, period.
More SAB please. I’m sorry but SAB was awesome, so no clue what you’re talking about.
The only….ONLY people that have issues with the SAB are the WvW & sPvP die-hards. But seeing as how the SAB is PvE content, who cares about those people’s opinions? They’re just angry that PvE is getting content while their type of gameplay is rather stagnate (and that’s how it really is in ALL PvP type scenarios). At least mini-games are a PvP mix-up, but …apparently PvPers and WvWers call still call mini-games “carebear content”. Sheesh!
Eh, that’s generalizing it a bit too much :P I think the people who hated SAB are those weirdo deep immersion guys.
(People who like immersion are fine, I mean those hardcore immersion guys :P)

I speak for me and what i’m always hearing about this.
As i read future changes i saw this getting loads of new things when it’s just not worth it.
Barely anyone likes this and only uses those skins because they are good looking( not on my opinion). Every place i see comments of this, through the net i only see: “We need real new content” and some more things that i care to say.
Please don’t waste your efforts on this, work on real content like community says. I agree with them.
Hope it reaches GW2 Crew
Seeing as how a majority of the posts in this thread at pro-SAB, I believe that we are the community, and that we feel new SAB content is appropriate. If you hate SAB so much, you aren’t being forced to play it.
Perphaps the people around you didnt like it, or you are bad noticing things, because other case this is a troll thread.
All my guildies (2 guilds) + my friends + me + al map chats that spoke of it+all the pugs wich i have talked about patchs, liked SAB as content, that includes people that hate JPs.
We like SAB, we want SAB and if theres not some huge fail: we will have SAB.
Yeah i am a SAB fan.
This thread made me watch the SAB commercial a few more times :P
SAB always seemed like the most widely loved update they’be put out to date.
I know someone who really doesn’t like JPs but <3 SAB. I don’t really get it …
SAB, wintersday, and the mad kings contents are prolly the best temporary stuff anet has ever brought out
SAB was amazing because it wasn’t more silly mini-games we keep being pelted with where we can’t play with friends. SAB was cooperative with your friends and also very exciting, witty and brought a lot of nostalgia!

Barely anyone likes this
This is where I stopped reading. Please do not try to present your lonely singular opinion as having any more weight than it does. Are there other people who didn’t care for SAB? Assuredly. I’m one of them. But it was absurdly popular, and when you pretend otherwise you undermine your credibility beyond repair.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it was super popular.
I know I’m looking forward to more of it.
As an asura, I do this all the time.”
Don’t consider YOUR OPINION, the comunnity opinion. SAB had been by far, the more popular release until now. Actually, if any of the candidates had offered one contract with the asura guy for complete SAB if he gain in the election…
The polls will sure be 90/10 for the guy with promise of a return of SAB

i’m not sure what server you’re on, but on TC, when SAB first came out, WVW turned into a ghost town. even the most hardcore WvW players took up residence in there (including myself).
as for the part about WvW players being angry that PvE is getting all the content, well…… yeah. duh. there’s blatant problems in WvW, that never get fixed. there are mindnumbingly obvious updates that need to be made (the commander system), that never happen. WvW has been the illegitimate step child of gw2 since release. instead of getting anything we actually need, we get a WXP system that completely destroys the game by turning all of the maps into a giant circle farm fest. when all of it could be fixed in just a single update, because there isn’t a ton of stuff that’s actually needed. it’s just that the few things that are needed are never given, while every 2 weeks there’s new living story content put out with new maps, new items, new jumping puzzles, even new PvP style games. after being neglected for this long, it’s no wonder why there would be some resentment.

I love WvW, but your post just showed how much people loved SAB. Ghost town, even before AP rewards.
Barely anyone likes this and only uses those skins because they are good looking
lolwut.
Also, you can’t say you are speaking for yourself then speak for other.
SAB is probably some of the most fun content in the whole game. That says more about the rest of the game than it does about SAB.

I love WvW, but your entire post just showed how much people loved SAB.
yep, i know. it was to show the person i quoted that even those “hardcore WvW and PvP” players loved SAB. the second paragraph didn’t have anything to do with SAB itself, just the overall neglect WvW has gotten in the updates, and why there would be some resentment about that.
8 bit content sucks IMO, I gave up 8 bit games with my SUPER OLD ATARI.

Ah, I totally missed the part you quoted :P Yeah, WvW needs some love, and not in a rewards way, but a new kitten map. (I think you could say dam + n on tv like 30 years ago. o.O)

Keep the 8 bits flowing.

I just love SAB!!
Sadly, they have already broken faith around the platformers in-game. Originally they were to be optional content, there for those that like them, optional otherwise. This release of the LS they have even gated voting , an important element of impact on the world, behind a mini-game platformer. I don’t do platformers and am unable to vote. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Very sad.

I, and everyone I know in-game, loved the SAB and can’t wait for it to return.

kittenty 8bit content is cheaper to make than real endgame content apparently.

SAB always seemed like the most widely loved update they’be put out to date.
which is pretty funny in a way because it had more compelling content on accident than everything anet has put out on purpose since.
u guys can have ur sab,
ill be playing a game with REAL CONTENT and not kiddy, cheap mini-games that have NOTHING to do with the gw2 world.

SAB is what got a lot of my friends that quit to play. It’s an extremely fun game and even if you don’t get any rewards it’s worth your time.

Nobody will miss you
Anyways, SAB was awesome and I can’t wait for it to come back.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could say that of the rest of the game?
Because it’s the best update we’ve had so far?

Did you actually try it? Even once? Because getting up to the airship is not even remotely platforming. If you use the lightning crystal near where the elemental spawns you don’t even have to jump, you can do the entire thing never pushing more than 1 button at a time or using any kind of timing or aim.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I love SAB and I love Jumping Puzzles.

Many things are extremely fun and though I get no rewards, It’s worth my time because I’m not some “No Rewards in real life needs them in a game” Ex WoW Player.
It’s that easy.
And to the OP. You see how many people love the SAB. Don’t think you’re some kind of Holy individual who’s opinion is above everyone else. We don’t need more of your kind, the SAB is the awesome, it’s nostalgic, it’s well done and it’s a lot of fun, for many many many many players. You’re the minority, if you can’t live with that, there’s the door.
I really have not enjoyed much added content since Halloween….But SAB was amazing and really fun, i lived in it.

I’m not sure why you’d be unable to vote. Even if you couldn’t get to the top, any mesmer could portal you there…in stages. Once you had the waypoint you could teleport up there and vote till your heart’s content.
It’s pretty easy as platforming goes anyway, but I think Anet put mesmers in the game specifically to help people who don’t platform.
Hell, I’d do it myself for you if you can guest over to TC.
The super adventure box is awesome and I can’t wait for it to return! =D

That’s what platforming is here. Your skills are replaced by platforming skills and you use those to play a different game than the one you bought. What I object to is platforming taking over the core game, not how relatively hard or easy it is. When I play GW2 I want to play my character and his/her skills, not the skills of the month.
