I’m on Sea of Sorrows and in the TacSym guild.

I never can get a group together because everyone is playing WvW or in high level fractals. I don’t have the time to dedicate multiple hours a day to the game so 99% of my play is completely solo PvE. Now I have 90% world completion and can’t finish Malchor’s Leap or Arrah because I don’t have anyone else to group up with to finish it.

Anyone else do a lot of PvE on Sea of Sorrows?

It sounds like you will fit in perfectly, nonsense is the name of the game where we are concerned! We are pretty casual as well, but there are players that know quite a bit about armor sets and builds and such. I think it’s confusing too! I’ll open up this thread with a personal story about me and gw2.
Before gw2 i quit WoW, it became too boring and it seamed like a game for kids, it got just boring where expansions were put out to earn money not to make it better or more fun for players. (My opinion.)
So gw2 was coming out, I saw first trailers and I really got hooked on it, and best things my friends (I play games with) told me they will buy it 100%.
So yeah i preordered the thing, got into it and it got fun, but suddenly my group of buddies fell apart, some of them went solo, doing it 24/7 hitting cap and leaving the game or selling it, while others didn’t want to play in group and last but not least people who say they want to play with you but when you log on they are like lvl 10 above you, and saying “I couldn’t wait but when you hit my lvl we can go together.” and by the time you get to them they advance too.
After my story is told now let me tell you a little about myself.
I’m a true gamer, but lately I’ve been cought up with collage and thins I have to do, but I always have time for games, I was playing till not so long ago Battlefield 3, and Diablo 3, but I sold both games for the same reason I’m writing this.
I’m a fun guy, don’t have much time for games accept late in the evenings but when I play games I just enjoy it, I relax and get into my role and drift deep.
I’m playing LoL, but as a guy who enjoys company, I’m left alone with broken friendships and no one to play with.
Now to the current situation:
I need a friend it doesn’t matter who he is, beginner or pro, I just need someone who is willing to play with me from scratch teach me basics, and laugh have fun, talk do all kind of bullkitten.
I don’t like being alone, for the last 2 months I quit games played it as little as i could because I’m too social, I ended up watching bunch of animes over time.
I love gw2 I did that “warlockish thing” to lvl 32… But I lost interest over few days being alone.
I would love if someone would be kind and at least play this game with me few hours a day for fun.

You aren’t alone in your situation, many of us started this game with friends who have since stopped playing or moved on to different aspects of the game.

As a group in game we can’t guarantee you someone who will be able to play with you as much as are asking, a larger proportion of us are based on NA servers so won’t be able to guest to you. We do have several active EU players though, so you may be able to meet up with them if they are online when you are.

What we can offer you though is somewhere for you to ask questions about the game, we have a lively guild chat so even if you are playing alone sometimes you will have people to talk to.

One of us will send you an invite next time we are in game and you can come and talk to us and see what you think. I hope we’re able to help you enjoy the game more than you are currently and perhaps someone else based on Desolation will read your post and get in touch for some more frequent partying up.

Fossil, I haven’t seen a typical sign off. “Fly Safe” reminds me of a common farewell in the Discovery Freelancer RP Community. If you were looking for something GW2ish, it would likely depend on race. “May the Spirits guide you,” would work well for Norns etcetera.

Rigor, we have no rules on required amount of repping, so you’re good to work with your other guild as well. However, you may miss out on the often amusing and useful guild chat when you aren’t repping us!

Me and my brother LOVE adventuring with each other in MMO’s, avoiding guilds and just playing with each other, but he didn’t buy the game, for he is too much in love with WoW to want to buy this…for now. However I find Tyria to be a little lonely while I am out exploring or leveling an alt and would be grateful for company now and then to ease the passing of the days.

As I said I have many years of gaming under my belt and I am not looking to be an elite player just one that is competent and a benefit to his team, or if nothing else a good laugh during an evening. I have been known to find ways of falling to my death that just perplex folks to no end, and not on purpose!
