Okay now to get to the point of this thread

The point of creating this particular thread is that I have notice either newer/current players looking for others to game with.

So I thought:

Why not create a thread where people can post and look for others to game with?

So with great pride, I declare this thread officially open!

Some Guidelines I thought might help others out.

I randomly play, no set times, just whenever the mood strikes. I love to visit with others though, whether it be in /map, /say, /g or whatever.

I’m on Tarnished Coast and currently helping a couple of nice people get their guild going. I wasn’t in one, they were friendly and needed help so wah-lah.

Just finished running around Tyria with my new friend Bri (who I met through Glitch’s New Player thread) – got 100% on Gendarran Fields map, levelled a couple of times and was able to squirrel away some money in my bank at the end of it all. A very good evening and it was great to have company for it all.

PS: Oh, I forgot to mention my pet Cuddles, a carrion devourer, and the funniest thing from last evening was Lexy killing a bunny!! Good thing we were not on voice chat, cos I couldn’t stop laughing after I saw that!

Lol, bunnies and raccoons are great to kill for your ‘overkill’ achievement as they have no defence – but that bunny laid on a dramatic death scence for our benefit. And yes, having someone who could provide combo finishes was excellent – more research in this area is needed I think.

If it’s not The Other Side Of The World (not map, WORLD), I walk. And I do every dynamic event I happen to walk past (well, except escort quests that take me somewhere I don’t want to go at that moment). And I chat too much in mapchat.

I am new to the game… Then again who isn’t still.

What I do depends on my mood really, My mes is the dungeon runner, my thief is the explorer, and my guardian is only in lvl 43, but I’m pretty much open for anything. Except pvp…I hate pvp…
Unless I have a doctors appointment or another matter I need to attend to I’m pretty much always on…unless I’m asleep..
Main character:Xana Oravia (sylvari theif) I say this the main since it’s the first one i rolled but I end up playing my mesmer more.

I spent about 5 years on GW 1 and love this game, except that it is too hard to solo sometimes. That’s one reason this is such a perfect idea! And it’s always more fun to play together. And I am quite chatty… lol (and old!!! 45 years)

- Well first off is dungeon with the exception of AC and Arah (not really interested in those atm), currently farming SE and CoE for some gears and helping bf with CM.

Hello all!! Glad I decided to hop on the forums today this is a good idea Glitch!

Active: It varies due to my work schedule, but best times are evenings PST throughout the week( including weekends ). But there are times when I’m on during the day and off in evenings heh.
Additional Comments: I haven’t played a ton of MMO’s but I really love this one, I tend to get distracted on the world map when I see farming materials and I do a celebratory dance after every felled boss. I’m easy going and laid back and I run with my Norn buddy Drakesword alot.

Hi all! Hope everyone’s doing well. Since I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread for a while, too, I thought that I should go ahead and put in my info, as well.

Interests: I enjoy just about anything PvE. I’m really enjoying exploring the different areas and the events. I try to lend a hand when I can. I’ve been meaning to try out the WvW, but just haven’t, yet.
Active: I’m mostly only on during the weekends, Central Time (GMT -5). Every once in while I might get on during the week, but that’s rare.
Additional Comments: I tend to be one of the quiet players. However, I love listening to others and once I get to know a person, I do tend to talk a little bit more.

Additional Comments: I am collecting all dyes, and will give out free ones on /m whenever i get a dupe! no matter common or rare. lol; shameless in talking in /m or /s, inviting random players into party (if i see you around enough or have been running in the same general direction for over 30 secs) and asking for directions

The Legion Of Honour

This thread reminds me of the last few times I’ve logged into the game the community was very helpful in answering questions and assisting during battles. last night I ran my first dungeon with a really good group and today I had some great interaction with a few Champion bosses and Sunless. I hope the GW2 community keeps it up we have fun when we play and the chat log is generally a riot.

Well, I just spent the past hour or two roaming the Hrathi Hinterlands, fighting stuff, exploring, mining, etc, with the occasional broadcast in /map that I am looking for a big team… Total silence, not even the usual snarky “Why would you want a team for exploring?” that I usually get once per session.

like Glitch said, feel free to add me in-game or PM me, here or in Tyria. both work. and hope more people hear of this and join up! i’m always down for exploring, even if i’ve been somewhere a hundred times.

@Dantaeus – that’s great to hear!! definitely hoping for the same direction and yes, chat log can get pretty out of hand sometimes lol

@Willowpaw – which server are you on? one thing i have noticed is that most people have migrated to the higher level areas on my server. least it seems that way. so really depending on time, some maps can be completely deserted, especially the middle level maps. that being said though, to have no one reply or write in map chat is quite bizzare.

Active: I’m an Aussie (Australian Time Zone GMT +11) and I’m on most days atm
Interests: exploring, map completion (I’m awful at those jumping puzzles lol) and levelling, also I love crafting
Misc Info: I’m new to forums and chat boards and I’m still working out my chat options in game. I usually solo because I am shy and a bit of a slower player but solo t is pretty impossible for a lot of things in GW2. I love the game but you need other people to do stuff, and it’s fun helping as well
So if you can use another body I’m here Operation Unions a definite Go
ps I had the same as Willowpaw last night, the map chat was completely silent. This was in one of the beginner areas and i noticed when i went a bit further out there were more people. I havent completed the 5 early areas yet and it’s getting a" bit" difficult if there’s no one else to help in an event.

some events will be more difficult, even in starting areas from my experience and some are hard to solo. the way i liked to level was sort of try to follow my story as best i can, and keep moving up in area levels.. and not until i hit 80, did i start actively going for map completion. i purposely kept some low level areas available for me to explore, so if i need a break from some hectic fighting, i can go back and relax a little.. lol, that being said, some areas CAN be difficult. though i believe as you progress in the game, you slowly learn how your character, class and build can adapt to all situations. so keep at it! and hopefully you’ll be able to find more people on here. do join the guild and i think it’ll be easier for us to see where everyone is!

also, the more servers the better! ultimately one day we can have a rep on each and every single server out there. so we have precense throughout all of Tyria, lending a helping hand and building up the community.

Union: I don’t mind joining for convenience, but I tend to represent a 2-person guild we’re using for bank space (just changed servers, so we need to get all that again). I could change during an activity though since it seems like you earn more for being with guild members anyway.
