I need some help, guys I’m currently on Ehrmy Bay, US server but I’m based in Sweden, GMT+1, and play mostly during the days and early to mid evening. I’m on a US server since my guild from GW1 is on EB and we’ve played together for 5 years or so. Many friends. But of course I hardly ever see them online, let alone play with them and since I hate playing solo I need to switch to a good, friendly European server. Of course I’d prefer it to be a server where there are at least a few from The Legion of Honour in it. So please, give me some advise as to witch server I should join? I play mostly day/early evenings and I want to explore, maybe do dungeons (though I tend to suck…lol) and I want to learn PvP as people seem to like it so much. That means I will need help as well as teaming up for more fun. Especially to do all the events I avoid now as they are a bit hard to solo, most of the time.

looks like my guild is done for. : (
All the players play now fifa, borderland 2 or some other game I don’t know. The leader doesn’t even want to invite other Gw2 players anymore. So yesterday, me and the other three guys, who kept playing Gw2 were talking it out and agreed that we hit a dead end with our guild community.

I don’t know what server to settle on now, but one thing I know for sure: I don’t want to play Gw2 alone!

So the image I have from you guys is that you are a very casual, very relaxed community. Which fits pretty darn well because I like to play casual and relaxed with other players but have problems finding likeminded people. I like to socialize and love Gw2.

Bottomline: I would love to be part of your “OPERATION: UNION” and hope to hear from you guys!

@Anomica I’ve only ever played on Gunnar’s Hold which is a good predominantly english speaking EU server. There is a healthy population who do map chat both in LA and in regional maps and on the whole (there’s always a few exceptions) we are very helpful and friendly.

There are a few of us on Gunnar’s Hold (welcome Umbox!), myself bri and LokiShi. Bri and I tend to play evenings and weekends. LokiShi tends to portal in and out at will (sorry, bad Mesmer joke…)

The other EU server which has good Operation:Union representation is Aurora Glade where Glitch lives – but he’s said this is less of a casual server and players here are quite serious dungeon runners, Pvper’s, etc – not that this is a bad thing, it depends what you’re looking for.

Anyway, I’m sure some of the other EU players will chip in with their thoughts on their servers, hope you make a choice you’re happy with and feel free to get in touch with me in game anytime.

Yes we are more of a casual guild as we all understand that people do have other things in their lives.

At the moment we are mainly based around TC, GH and AG. Hope that changes though .

Hi Laszlo – yes that is pretty much us – casual and relaxed. The other basic foundation on which we all got together was the idea of helping people in game. Answering questions, offering help, rezzing randoms that die as you run past nearby, etc – just basically like-minded people who don’t want to be jerks to other players. This has lead to some us of teaming up for PvE on a regular basis, introduced us to dungeon runs and gives us a group of people who we can call on for expertise. If you want to know anything about AC dungeon give Glitch a shout, he’s pratically set up home there!

If by the time I get home from work no-one else has sent you an invite I’ll sort it out. What server are you on, we can probably connect you to some ‘local’ players as well as our wider cross-server group?

To be honest, the last 2 days I have been jumping servers. Me and my three friends, the remnant of our old guild, are searching for a new server to make ourselfs at home. ATM we have no ties to any server.

again, to everyone, just to reiterate, as if this hasn’t been done enough, lol. XDDD we’re just a bunch of Tyrians, who like to rush to the aid of others especially if out of our way(whether we’re competent or not.. well haha that the world can decide XDD) and ideally, ultimately, we can foster a strong community, inter and intra-servers, that have a good attitude, like to have fun and are always willing to offer a helping hand. basically be kewl peoples.

Actually it isn’t that bad : ). There were very few people to play with anymore and I was already looking at the forum and in chat channels for other players to play with. It is good to know that the case is closed now and I don’t have any obligations or guilt when it comes to my old guild. I am free to switch to which ever server I like and meet new people to play with.

@Laszlo – do you have a preference for an NA or EU server? Where are you based and what sort of days/times do you play? – this might help us suggest servers that would suit you. Also you and your remaining guild friends, are you PvPer’s, WvW, PvE dungeon or a bit of everything?

We play mostly PvE but enjoy occasionally WvW. I play a little sPvP on the side when I am bored. We play at EU time, mostly in the evening and on weekends. We love doing dungeons. I am an altoholic and roam/explore most zones alone since my friends are playing mostly in Orr.

@Laszlo – You’ve probably already read it but I put some info up about our most represented EU servers in a post here this morning to Anomica. Hopefully this might help you out.

Bri and I can usually be found roaming around Tyria, clearing maps as we go and occasionally dipping in to our personal stories – apparently Bri killed a dragon last night (without me) Quite a few in the guild do dungeons regularly so between them they have quite a lot of expertise on specific ones. And, like you, many dabble in WvW and PvP when the mood take them.

Just to prevent misunderstanding: Laszlo.9634 is not my game account. I only keep using it when I am posting at the forum, because I can’t verify my game account at work. My game account is Skex.(forgot the numbers). May I drop a whisper once I’m at home? : )

That’s pretty much all i do any more…or run w/ a horde to get kp’s….sometimes just hit some pve for fun….mostly wvw tho.
Active Eastern standard time, -5 GMT. I’m a late nite person, often play 8-12 hours per day till the sun comes up.
Additional Comments I’m middle aged, disabled, and divorced so nothing to do now but game!!!

I’ve ran most of the dungeons at least once, have master craft in cooking/leatherworking, full set of matching exotic gear, collecting all the mats to make my 1st legendary weapon is my current goal atm. I’ve prolly got close to 1,000 hours played so far, lol…with no end in sight.

Don’t worry, we’re are NOT a group of Elitists! We’re just some folks who decided it would be nice to help others and were kinda fed up with gaming alone. So Op: Union was born to help other players to hopefully find others to game with on their server (Hopefully with guesting out soon we can ALL get together!)

So yea, any questions you have feel free to ask ‘em here! If you do want to take time to just get that little bit better we’re there to help in that area too, but mostly we just look for some awesome people like yourself to just talk to. Anyway I also mash buttons, I seem to get some pretty good results.

Also we definitely have understand people want to represent different guilds at a time so we don’t discriminate there. Just that if you do get together with some fellow players just represent there.

Also you are not required to game all day and every day. All of us totally understand you have other things to do in life. E.g work/college/family whatever.

I am new to mmorpgs but think I am picking things up pretty quick. I have completed all the beginner areas and home cities. Mostly interested in PvE but will to try some WvW, just don:t expect much. I am in Japan so the server is pretty empty for me. I am on most evenings and weekends (japan). I look forward to grouping with you guys.

has everyone been enjoying the Halloween events thus far? i woke up late/early for the introduction of Act III. was lucky enough to get in even though i was on overflow (some party members were in actual, mayeb that helped?). woke up with a headache and now at work with the same headache. lol.

Clock Tower frustrations, anyone? ; ))) i absolutely love it t hough. haven’t made it to the top yet, but any tips here would be amazing! one thing to note, my jumping in this game has been honed a LOT just from the repeated attempts! so good stuff either way.

@Lexy – were you finally able to get in as a group? though i got booted shortly after talking to you guys last night. heard the servers are back up and running now and hopefully, this is all fixed!!
