Hello,i’m looking for someone to play with,i’ve a few characters level 15-21 (made 26 characters,still not sure about my profession lol) and i’d like to play with someone else…i should have played with a friend but he couldn’t purchase the game.
My server right now is ruins of surnia (or something like that,too lazy to check) but i can swap it.

I was on the Ruins of Surnia, but I moved to Gunnar’s Hold where there are a few other EU players, we have some others in Aurora’s Glade as well if you were unsure. Take a look at our website http://operationunion.enjin.com/forum for your choice of EU servers we are on as a group. Hopefully guesting will come into play soon and it won’t matter what server were on we can all join in together.

I have my Human at level 15 at the moment and plan on getting my Asura to a minimum of level 10 soon. I’m still very new to the game and not sure on profession either other than loving the Ranger I can’t decide on my favorite for my Asura.

With the resent patch, I’ve decided to shelf my engineer. They’re more or less, utter crap now. And since this is my only character, I don’t have much choice but to reroll if I want to continue playing (which I do). So it would be cool to have some folks to talk to while leveling.

Interested activities: Well I just started the game 2 days ago, and I’m interested in everything so far. Would enjoy to find a guild and join some partys.
Active: Since its the holidays right now I’ll be on quite a lot, but after that it will mainly be weekends and some weekdays in the evening.
Additional comments: I don’t know if I came to the game too late since I just started, I’ve only actually seen several characters that would be considered a “low” level, and not many characters in the actual game even though the server say very high? but other than that the game has been amazing.

with this game I have to say there is no such thing as “too late”, there are still plenty of people around, but the lower levels do seem to be lacking people some of the time. sometimes it depends on what time you play, or what starting zone it is.

@Death – was finally able to do it yesterday!! it’s a lovely puzzle and had a lot of fun. adding the snowballs and being able to watch players while having to wait was a nice touch. but the wait was considerably longer if you happen to make a bad jump in the very beginning XPPP heh. how’re you finding Wintersday so far??

I like the snowball fighting arena. I think this was done pretty well. The JP is quite difficult and funny how people try to rush it to be the first to the end. At one point I started off as the last one in the group with regards to progression – ended up going the furtherest and just loled at the rest falling infrot of me. The timer is tad too long though.

Wow, having lots of issues with the Xmas events! I keep looking at my keyboard during the bell choir to see what color/number to hit, and getting booted pretty quickly. And so far can’t get past the snowflakes on the jumping Xmas present thing.

Guess ill keep practicing. Anyone have tips?

JP:
Just the usual mouse turn, high camera sensitivity. Try to keep moving, but there are some points where you’ll want to stop and turn. Turning graphics down helped me .

Candy canes on the towers are easy to miss. Be careful there.

Gingerbread path is faster but I do better on snowman.

Oh, and you can practice on Spekk’s Lab in Caledon Forest if you want. It’s much the same thing, only with checkpoints so you don’t lose all progress.

I haven’t finished yet, but each time I try I get a little bit farther. Decided to take a break after I bounced my head off a snowflake 2 tries in a row. >.<

Bells:
Put fingers on 1-4, then 6-9. Don’t pick them up or move them.

Turn graphics down to help with any lag.

Where you have to hit the circles is a little different for each person, so watch closely on the easy songs. I have to hit just as they’re in the white before the actually stop, other people hit earlier or later depending on lag.

with bell choir, try to think of the sections as numbers instead of the colours and put your fingers on the buttons (like playing piano) makes it alot easier. also I found pointing the camera down helps alot with seeing when the coloured lights will hit the blue part. hope that helps some

Just like G said, point the camera down (bird’s eye view) and center so that there are four colors on the left side of your screen and four colors on the right side of your screen. Position your fingers on the 1-4, 6-9 keys and don’t move them! Try hard not to have to look down. Don’t pay attention to the colors, just notice which column the light is in – if it’s in the second column (from the left), you know you’ll be using your second finger.

It takes a few rounds to get used to it, especially if you’re not used to DDR or Guitar Hero, but you’ll get it! It’s a really fun minigame, in my opinion. Much better than the dreaded jumping puzzle.

Remember that if you make it through the round, you can heal yourself in between songs by playing random notes (while waiting for more players to join). Just don’t play random things while a song is still going, ‘cause then you’ll take damage. Good luck! :]

Does anyone have any tips for the snowball capture-the-flag minigame? I’m HORRIBLE at it.

Hey, I’ve been here ( as in… on the game, lol ) since the beginning, so I’m not really new, but I’m really kind of skittish, so I don’t socialize much.. But since I hit 80 forever ago, I’ve noticed I do probably need to make some friends to play the game with, and I would like to.
My Name: I don’t really care what name people call me since I use several, but the majority is either Meiz ( short for Meizicht, which is pronounced “My-zeekt”. I like to point it out or else people think I’m named after corn… xD ), Cage, Jesse, or whatever my IGN is at the time.
Main Character: Endraethyl, which is a ranger.
Current Server: Fort Aspenwood
Interested Activities: Er, well.. I’d like to do a fair amount of dungeons, PvE and simple socializing is fun. I don’t like PvP much because I’m stressed out real easy, but I think I may give it a try on here if I don’t lag too much.
Active: My times change a lot, but I’m usually on every day.
Additional Comments: I think what kind of drew me here was me and the OP had a similar “issue” with rambling. xD; I think you can tell I do it too.. I think maybe it should be a forewarning that I don’t have the best computer, so I have long loading screens and some lag, so that might affect my gameplay, though I’ve been able to work around it pretty well. I like to also talk to people outside the game too, so if I do hit it off with people here, I may bug about Skype. xD
I don’t do any voice chats, since I don’t have a mic, though. So things like raidcall, etc, are kind of out of the question for me.

@Tetraethyl – hi always room for another rambler here. To answer your question, yes you can be in more than one guild but you can only represent one at a time. You can also represent different guilds with different characters if that is something that works for you. As a group we don’t insist that you represent us all the time, but if you are playing with other members of the guild it would be nice. We are a cross-server group so most of us only ever meet up in dungeons or overflows, but I think we have a couple of members on Fort Aspenwood.

We’ve recently got a group website up and running so feel free to check us out there, if nobody has sent you an invite when I get home this evening I’ll be sure to send one your way.

I can switch between representing, of course; the guild I have with a few of my friends is very small and not many people are on at the same time, so it’s more of a roulette. I can guest on a server where the most people are playing, since I don’t get to group with said friends often.
I got so tired of not being able to do dungeons and things because I’m always soloing. Dx

@Vlawde – again, emphasizing how the top-down / bird’s-eye-view helps on the JP! : )) mouse turning obviously helps for this so you can try to turn up mouse sensitivity. to allow for ample time for the end bits, i pretty much hold down “W” (forward) the whole time, apart from when i jump the horizontal candy cane sticks in the initial snowflake bit. keep practicing! and you’ll be sure to get it ; ))

for bells – another small tip. don’t look at your character!! the lag for me created a noticeable difference in when i actually hit the keys / notes and my guy’s animation. which kind of threw me off. though turning down graphics settings may help with this.

all in all, pretty fun so far though!

O_________o lol but it’s really fun. been trying to get the achievements as well but haha to no avail at all. anyone have any more tips? i play the scout generally and is quite fun. have read this works. right off the bat Stealth (#5), you get swiftness, so you can get the swiftness boon lying on the ground, Stealth again when you’re near the present or get it and rinse / repeat. lol sounds easier than done. i gotta practice that. in terms of stopping people, this i’ve tried myself. and it’s pretty fun >:DD predict where enemy carriers are gonna be, use stealth when you see them coming up. hopefully they haven’t noticed you. again and #4 charged fully can take out 80 – 90% of someone’s health so “snipe” them. #3 is pretty strong too! but you want to be closer for it’s full effect. not as great at mid-range. i’ve only played scout so can only offer so much.

@Purring, Alex (i’m alex too! lol) and Tetrae/Meiz – welcome everyone!!! hope you find it fun here. you lot are in good hands so expect some crazy fun times. mainly crazy. ; ))

and oh, @Meiz – lol now i’m jus tgonna remember that you ARE infact named after corn ; )) jokes jokes heh. dungeons are always fun and there are a handful of peeps who can ntake you around! ; ))

@aka nicely put, the princess dolls are insane. My health bleeds away every time they start screaming. Other than that, I can only hit 600 on the middle notes. But I agree about the lag. Its tricky sometimes. :p To all you folks doing the bell choir, all the best !

Hello guys, kinda of new here. This is in fact my first post on this forum, and i’ve been playing this game for almost a week now. Would be great to join you guys, cuz it seems you go along well and have fun together.

Additional Comments: My only other mmo i’ve played so far was Rift. I was a warrior DPS for raids and tank for dungeons. I also enjoyed Healing with a mage alt. In GW2 i don’t want to go hardcore PvE, mostly dungeons and exploring, don’t have time for that anymore.

While I like what this thread is trying to do, the related guild that I was given membership into has no-one from my server and no-one from my time slot.

Think some re-organization needs to happen to match peoples servers and times.
