*Profession-based dailies. Yes, I have one of every class, but I also paid RL $ for the gems to do that; not everyone can and it’s not fair to them if they can’t get daily because of it. To say nothing of being unbalanced.
*No more hot-join Play Now button where I’m just automagically matched with people at my sPvP level. While, yes, every now and again it might do me some good to see how someone of Dragon rank does their schtuff, too many dailies and achieves are tied to WINNING, and I can’t. I also don’t want to BE that OP person to someone just starting out =-\
*The old daily system (think over a year and a half ago, when we still had Glory and all that,) was easy, you could get in and out, done. The new system is almost impossible to get unless you manage to beat bots as one of the “profession of the day” classes or join a server and happen to be the right class on the right side just as that team wins two seconds after you load in.
*BOTTERS!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SHINY AND ON FIRE! I used to PvP all the time, but now it’s just not worth the headaches. I can’t win against someone’s CPU, period. (Seriously, anet; check my pre-2015 win/lose ratio to now.)
*I PERSONALLY hate spectator mode; too open to cheating. Anyone can stalk someone when they have a guildie spectating and reporting over TS or gchat.
*Almost impossible to find an open server, as in <10 people so you can actually PLAY, after reset; NEVER had this problem before—WTH?! Maybe set up dedicated public servers for dailies and don’t allow accounts on them that have finished those dailies?
*I’m consistently told that arenas are the only “real” place to play now, though botters exist there, too, but I just don’t like arenas. What happened to just being able to PLAY????
And all of that’s just off of the top of my head right after work. I’m sure once I get home and try to play, I’ll remember other things… About the ONLY thing to like about sPvP right now vs. my other MMO addiction, SWTOR, is that, for hot-join, there’s no queue. Otherwise? Forget it

I spend 1/2 of my time in the game AFK in the mists.
No incentive to play other than getting an extra 2 hours minimum wage at McDonalds paycheck every week. The game doesn’t need to throw money at people to make them want to play, it needs to straight up add leagues. Gems aren’t a good prize either, top players want to show that they’re better than everyone else, and legendaries don’t show that, a diamond/plat/whatever PvP badge does.
No Arenas. Honestly after going through like 5 failure teams I’m sick of trying to find people even remotely close to my level. 2v2 and 3v3 game modes please. That or make soloQ competitive.
Terrible State of the Necromancer Class which was the main reason I left the game. Necromancer was my favorite class by far and every day I played it I asked myself why bother playing the worst class in the game.
Insane Power Creep Inc in Expansion that for sure will lead to imbalance that Anet will FOR SURE take 6 months minimum to fix.
Btw Turk, I still post on the forums because I really liked this game for a long time and it’s sad to have to go away from something with so much potential that is just unused.
Thief is pretty easy mode tbh. You can 1111 all day and kill people with procs, steal, and panic strike. Source: 800 hours on Thief.

And the horrible matchmaking system that seems to think it should pair you with people that enter pvp for the first time while facing full pre-mades or even tournament teams.

But I just think the current meta is the worst one we have ever had, and that every day is another nail in pvp’s coffin.

cele engi is your wipping boy if you can play a condi build well, or gung ho with hammer warrior and stun locked them. cele ele, well until the nerf ya just gotta keep up poison and kill em. engi is easy to kill. if you ever need help whisper me, I even have some super op secret builds I can give ya. got a p/p thief build that should never loose if you can kite well.

I don’t really like all the " avoid death spikes " skills that can be used while kded. I’m running mainly full warrior spikes builds, and i feel it’s cheap when the guy is getting away thanks to slick shoes, or ignoring damage because stone signet recharged on time..
It should be played like, watch the player, dodge key skills, use skill before the spike comes. Not just click skills on panic and still get rewarded..

6. engis (any kind, they just have too many good things; anet srsly needs to stop overbuffing them so much in hopes that class will be more popular)
7. getting shot through walls (see lich claws, engi rifle etc.) because logic
8. outfits…. wtb cool thief like armor set that doesn’t look like sack of patched leather
9. female sylvari fat leg problem that don’t allow to use any knie high boots because models weren’t fixed since launch… i mean look at those boots!!! D8

Not all of them, that’s just a stereotype. Most people who complain about them have absolutely zero perspective and don’t even understand the problems associated with their enemy. The only exception might have been old Turrets which were just too easy to play.
That said, I covered that. I wouldn’t mind them moving more of the passive benefits to something more active. I’ve wanted that for a long time. (FYI, I play MM, not turrets)

1. Badmouthing and poor sportsmanship.
2. Super long queue times.
3. Skill lag. Or maybe lag in general, idk.
4. Immobilized bug. (most bugs, actually)
5. Being the only non-thief on my team.
*6. Oh and of course, hobosacks. Watching my beatiful rifle and light of dwayna disappear whenever I equip an ugly kit.

That they took out the underwater portions of PvP.
1- Ranger Pewpewing from an unreachable place and insane damage
2- Lich Form and LifeBlast insane damage
3- Engineers constant ccs
4- Invulnerability skills on heavy classes
5- Chill affecting attunement cooldowns on ele
6- Immobilize stacking, Roots still immobilizing when destroyed
7- Any stacking of conditions that makes it impossible to fight back (daze+fear, etc)
8- Lack of map variety
Ranger. Seriously, delete this class already or rework it from the ground. No reward for skillful play – checked. No really viable high end pvp build – checked. Yet rocks on medium/uncoordianted level perfectly, having 10k with 2k range on demand, whereas other classes have to put way more effort to such burst and usually go into melee – checked. Only somewhat useful option is to jump around like monkey and evade evade geo prot repeat – checked. EVERYTHING about this class is wrong atm.
Dragonhunter. Being spoonfed with ranger basicly. I don’t mind bow, I don’t mind traps I want to see them in action. But ‘hunter’ in the name and ‘big game’ in articule description WILL NOT DO.
State of the necro. My second class is thrash. Oh well, except one build which is strange variation of ranger. It’s not like devs anyhow know what necro actually is. Can you eat it?

No way to save builds and quickly switch between them.
No way to que specifically for a type of SPvP map (conquest, TDM, and soon Stronghold)
No means of mixing and matching stats on individual pieces of gear, like I can do in PvE and WvW
PU and Shatter Mesmers, and Cele Elementalists. Just everything about them.
These are just the things I hate in SPvP. My other complaints are outside SPvP (The thing about saving builds applies to all game modes though). I count the lack of Arenas as an ‘out of SPvP’ issue.

I strongly dislike the illusion created by keeping track of personal score during pvp match.
It completely fools new players into thinking personal score actually matters… and that a higher score means they did “better”
It encourages things like double capping points, or piggybacking kills…
…and at the end of the match… the only thing everyone takes with them is a win or loss.
In pvp you need to be a team player…. and personal score more often than not promotes personal score boosting… which is detrimental to the team’s overall success.

When it gets cloudy out, feels like its going to rain, and a single rain drop comes down, making me go out to my car and roll up the windows, yet it still hasn’t rained yet and that was like, 4 hours ago. (I live in Southern California)

^ This. I also hate when you get harassed when you have a low personal score because you spent the whole match trying to actually win instead of scoring points.
