[Team] Best WvW guild of all time. EASILY.
These are my problems with mesmer and the lack of counter play to it:
1, They can spike out of stealth all the time = no counter play
2, They apply a ton of conditions, do massive damage and strip boons
3, They do too much spam damage from long ranged with the greatsword
4, Blurred frenzy cd is too short meaning they have too much invulnerability
5, They can port around like clowns and get you down when you cant hit the fools
6, They get so many procs like fire and air sigil
7, Portal is a game chaning utility
8, Moa morph is not fun in any way whatsoever
9, Cancel cast on greatsword is a cheat and an exploit and those exploting it should be banned
10, The damage it too high and too repeatable. They shouldn’t be able to spike for so much so often. I would increase the cd of shatter by 50%
Then we have some balance. Mesmer is game warping and OP as anything else. Just because thieves kill them, like they kill everything, does not make such high damage with ZERO COUNTERPLAY ok.
Please make the change and improve the game.

My favorite was the air and fire sigils. Because yeah, that’s only mesmers and deserves to be singled out.

How is it “quickly” becoming that when balance changes happen at a glacial pace?

So condi clear > condi (i think like vs all class playing condi but i’m maybe wrong)
Dodge,los > damage (and you can dodge attacks applying condi too, that’s awesome)

So do not stay at range=_=

9s 1/2 if traited, for 2s blur (so retaliation work), and you can’t move.
20% uptime “invulnerability” (like you said)

Moa can be block, blind, dodge, so what else? ah yes easilly spotted during casting time.

10s for MW, it hurt if you get hit, but shatter are easy to dodge, you can see it coming.
After that you need to have 3 illusion up for the next shatter (illusion which are one shot).

Yes mesmer GS is the most broken weapon in the game. One of the few ranged weapons that is not a projectile on autoatck. Has unblockable skills on a very short cd.

Excuse me. My main is a mesmer an it took me a long time to master that class and be effective. Have you possibly considered that the few mesmers that play are actually just good at their class. If im so good that I can counter most if not all classes does that make me OP? I’m kitten by this comment!

The rock paper scissor comparison only works when their numbers are the same. In a game where there are 6 papers, 1 scissor and 1 rock, the scissor is indeed overpowered.

1) our stealths are like 3 or 5 seconds, you telling me you cannot count to 3 and counter play by counter stealth/blocks/positioning? its not like we have thief lik access to 10+ sec stealths
2)TONS of conditions? Shatter mesmr(the most common) applies vun and confusion, thats 2, maybe 3
3)Its not GS dmg, its fire/air procs, which are not just a mesmer issue
4)………. you know what i cant even be bothered. This stinks of L2P. Mesmers are only strong under skilled players. And if you play at any decent level you would know they are NOT favourable due to the huge amount of coordination, team support needed and skill to counter play all the med guards/thieves around.

what counters mesmer – thieves and condi pressure
most thieves are bad and it’s not rare to see mesmers outsmart them.
thanks to ele and warrior cleansing, condi builds are played much less.
mesmers counter:
shout warriors – meta
dps guards – meta
power necros
power rangers
cele rifle engie – meta
turret engie
d/d ele – meta
fresh air ele
staff ele
mesmers arent the best at holding points and their mobility is crap. but the poor mobility is somewhat compensated by their portal.
I used to queue with a good thief and together we’d prevent anyone from reaching our points held by downing them in less than 5 sec.

Like I said a long time ago, Shatter Mes isn’t a hard build to play. But I don’t think it’s that effective either, just that it’s a braindead annoying class to deal with. There is literally nothing hard about evade spam while damaging.

Thief shorbow is only 900 range. Cluster bomb is incredible slow moving projectile and the other 4 skills do almost no dmg. Has 0 unblockable skills.
Warrior’s bow is only 1000 range. Autoatck is weak. #3 is slow moving projective. Pin down is heavily telegraphed. Has 0 unblockable skills.
Mesmer gs is 10 times more broken than the weapons you cited. It has AoE boon removal. AoE CC. Insta 9stacks of might and 9 vul. Ranged NON PROJECTILE autoatck that you can exploit for extra dmg. You can stack 2 cooldown reduction traits so mirror blade cd can be less than 5s.
so far the only semi broken build i ve bumped into is distortion spam build
as all the mesmer has to do is use sword and pistol and gs sword for spamming flurry distortion on short cd and pistol for the clone gs is used for the berserker clone as well then all mesmer has to do is summon another pistol clone and focus on distortion spam while clones obliterate you

I. Higher skill cap required which means that they are either good or pretty worthless
II. Good synergy working together
III. Two stealthiest profession
IV. Two most annoying profession to go against
