1 More game Modes which oncludes the 3 rounds paid tournaments as before.
2 Dueling system, the new arena system is a real kitten, no one wants to pay for a game with that non-competitive/boring PvP system that Anet doesn’t care about fixing it, it’s worst, they kitten it deleting paid tournaments… the only ``competitive´´ mode…

I don’t really have 3, but I’ll post my top that I want.
1) 5v5 Deathmatch PvP mode like in GW1. Random / Team Arena style.
-Balance of the classes (buff the ones that are left behind) (nerf some mechanics like stealth)
-Reduce the general damage output in pvp to have longer battles
-More maps that have different playstyles, like capture the flag, defending fortress i want more variety of game maps not only capture points, some kind of arenas, like in WOW, because now the entire competitive pvp its centered in capturing poits wich is lame.

Sorry mate, didnt realise you would take it to heart. I just can’t for the life of me understand how adding a jumping puzzle or 3 to sPvP would have any benefit whatsoever.

Right now calling this “Guild Wars” is just an insult to one of the best pvp games ever, there’s nothing from the old good gw1 here, it’s just a pale shadow…probably not even close to being a shadow…
I vote build diversity or class balance (if both are interchangeable). If not interchangeable I vote class balance over build diversity.

I’m going to say build diversity, and put it down 3 times.
There is absolutely no balance in the game, matches are incredibly boring when everyone is just rolling a bunker build.
1v1/2v2 team ranked arenas.
MM to have a serious AOE minion survival buff.
Necros to have some trait/weapon specific traits merged so we can take more fun options.

Well, I’ve played GW 1 for about 5 years. I appreciate the hard work that Anet has put into the sequel. Overall, it’s a great game, especially for a casual player like myself.
Since open-beta, I have always wanted some my wishes to be implemented in PvP. The three wishes I want most in GW 2’s PvP are:
1. New Game Modes
I would definately love variety of PvP game modes. Examples are Capture the Flag, MOBA style, or Battle Royale/Hunger Games. From GW 1, Challenge Missions: Fort Aspenwood/Jade Quarry, Team/Random Arena, Heroes’ Ascent, or Guild vs Guild. A new creative game mode would work, too. Small battleground maps are, for me, my favorite way of enjoying PvP.
2. Build Diversity
This applies to all gameplay aspects. I would like to customize my weapon skills. Adding new weapon skills and switching the slots can be a way to bring build diversity. The auto-attack can be substituted by a new auto-attack skill. I might want to leave slot 2 with original, and change slots 3-5. Balancing weapon skills may be needed. Also, tweaking some utility/elite skills, while adding more, would be a plus. In GW 1, some skills had separate functions between PvE and PvP to balance them.
3. Solo/Party Queue
The option to get automatically queue in any PvP modes would be nice.

2. I know this won’t happen, but i’d really like to not be bound to so few weaponskills. I’d really like to select my main fighting skills and not just some Utility-Skills with huge cooldowns. :/
3. Being able to disable enemy minions names to be displayed.
I suppose at some point the readers of this thread will get tired of seeing the same things over and over. Perhaps then these things will be delivered, or we will at least be told firmly to go away and give up… Anyway…
1) Solo que seperated from Teams.
The casual PvP market cannot play this game and have any fun when they are constantly matched with brand new players and made to face pre-made teams. If these people aren’t having fun when they play, then they certainly aren’t watching shout-casts and such. They are just uninstalling and going back to LoL.
2) Other Map Types (not necessarily a different que system or game mode all together)
Conquest does not provide enough variety in objectives to give team comps much in the way of depth. If a tPvP match could be Conquest or TDM or CTF (or some other mode) and you don’t know until in match and locked, then it would drive more build diversity into the game immediately. This is part of why ToPK/HA was such a huge success in GW. One trick ponies generally couldn’t get to Halls (at least not when a large number of players were in game). Right now tPvP is strictly a one trick pony by design. I can appreciate that this may be a way to keep the concept of balancing easier, but it isn’t supposed to be easy. Be bold and try to do something the hard way. The “hard” is what makes things great. “Easy” can be done by anyone.
3) Multi-Round Team Tournies
Stop calling a single 5v5 match a tourney please. This is silly. Bring back a real tourney, and create a reward for it such that people will want to make a team and play it. It isn’t that difficult. This kind of goes hand in hand with #1 above. Solo que can stay with the current que system and teams should be able to que into a multi-round tourney or single match (with the multi-round obviously having a scaling reward of some sort). I would start with a 4-team tourney for the sake of simplicity, but w/e as long as it gets in.
I see a lot of separating the newbie players from the veterans. A boy learns from their Father. Once upon a time everyone was the newbie among vets. If you tier, then your gonna get matches at off peak times where the same 5 players keep facing the same 5 players regularly. The newbies will remain not having their mettle tested solidly, and the vets just keep playing the same long winded duels for nodes. You it make sound like your always the person paired with the newbie and they’re always the person paired with the pro. If what your talking about is not having solo joiners face organised teams, then that is what spvp is for. If your playing tpvp purely for the rewards, then that is more an argument to move tpvp rewards over to spvp and re-haul how rewards work in general. Everyone has access to all rewards. Those who wanna skirmish hot joins aren’t penalised, those who want more organised tactical teams can have that arena separated from them with tpvp. If you think each should have different rewards, where one arena gets dungeon armours and the other just cultural or high level crafted..then that’s what called elitism, which has no place in a game designed for the casual gamer. Guild wars 2 from top to bottom is obviously a casual gamer orientated game.

Not gonna happen. In the original team arena’s got removed. Hero arena got removed. Random arena got made easy mode so gladiator points took little effort anymore. The accomplishment could be achieved by just time dedicated, not skill of all 4 players used. However they left us factions (Node captures) they left alliance (Node captures.) They left us tombs (Highly ranked based) and they left us GvG (Most teams were mirror copies of each other 99% of the time..again some classes get consistently left out of teams.) and they gave us costume brawl (Decided skills only.) and gave us codex (Pre-decided skills that changed daily.) Basically all forms of organised team vs team annihilation got removed for the people who don’t GvG because they got sick of raging on mics or got booted from their guild because they didn’t participate as regularly as what they used to. If team arena’s, hero arena’s and random arena still existed/meant something..honestly, I’d still be playing the game. Now in gw2..the last bastion of has been removed..bye-bye GvG.
The most important things i think right now :
-1 Give sPvP players some motivation to play the game, give them some special rewards.
Back in GW1 when you saw someone R12+ or Champion 2 you knew he was kinda good, and you could get some fame by holding the pantheon for hours.
Here in GW2 ranks means nothing, i can just farm 10v10 zerg with glory boost all day and get a high rank. Anyone can do that.
Remember GvG capes ? something like that, like monthly tournies with special rewards for the winning team.
Give us a motivation to get better.
2 – Balance.
3 – New game modes, i’d really see some official random deathmatch mode with titles kinda like RA in GW1.
I dont want GW2 to be the same game as GW1, but its really dumb to not use some of what made their first game such a great PvP experience. And GW2 has so much potential for pvp…

1. PVE Show off
Some way to display the hard earned rewards from PVP in the main game. I prefer PVP and would like some recognition in the main game of my conquests. This sounds vein but it’s true that most players like showing off they coolest looking armour.
2. Game Modes
At the very least 1vs1, 2vs2, etc… Team deathmatch, capture the flag, PVPVE etc
3. Build Diversity
I like that predetermined skills are set, but please allow some fine tuning.
BONUS 4. Progression
I realise that this game is designed for casual play, but please implement some sort of rewarding progression. I’m not too fussed about titles but would like to earn better armour and weapons even if it meant the stats were only better in tournaments for example. Perhaps a better tier for each major rank, ie rank 10, 20, 30, 40 etc. Players with better ranked armour only play against the same rank or better (if they desire)
1. better tournament matchmaking.
2. duelling, HoM or elsewhere.
3. better rewards.
Moar rangers staying around water to abuse UW pet heal. Once broken, always broken.

The only reason i’m still hanging onto the game is because i hope the first wish will be achieved, as for the 3rd one, i would enjoy playing with new friends without putting my rating at risk, in a match that people would actually want to win. (Similar to old free Tournies).

more game modes
elimination of the “downed state”
addon support to customize the UI and get way more information about what is happening around you and ability to hotkey ALL abilities instead of the lame paging.
1) A better reward system that actually rewards us with worthwhile items like Zaishen Keys for the time invested. At the moment there is no real incentive to play tons of PvP unless you want to grind rank and that scales so ridiculously at higher levels that most people will eventually stop trying. Rewarding us with account-bound unidentified dyes is a step in the right direction and I hope there is a possibility of implementing further rewards. I would like to make a tiny bit of money on the side and you eventually allowed top Pvpers to do so in GW 1 by improving the rewards to include tradeable Zaishen Keys and the Ghostly Hero miniature. Make a pvp exclusive miniature and some items that pvpers could sell on the Trading Post to compensate them slightly for time invested because Glory and Rank are entirely meaningless to most people. The entire reward and rank system needs an in-depth review and will hopefully get a complete overhaul in the future. Progression is something that we need to have a sense of, I feel sPvP is hugely unrewarding.
2) New game modes have been demanded since before the game was even launched and it’s something I would like you to continue looking at. I don’t think the traditional GvG that people want makes any sense given the way combat and classes turned out, but having something that isn’t conquest would be nice. The Hunger Games mode at the end of the beta got a lot of rave reviews, so I hope you do something similarly cool as a second or third option for sPvPers.
3) Balance overall should be looked at because it is still sorely lacking at this late stage in the eyes of most people.
1) More game modes. Maybe this would help to get rid of the current burst or bunker meta.
2) Balancing professions.
3) Reduce visual noise for spell effects
For me personally:
1. Alternative game modes (bring back GvG from GW1)
2. Balanced downed state (which I think is the only serious balancing problem left in the game)
3. Delayed in-game viewing of top-rated tournament teams (like in GW1 observer mode, yes the authorised commentator programme will be fun but sometimes you want to watch a game from the pov of your own choice)

1. Open world dueling
2. Ability to trade glory to influence real part of the game (e.×. trading glory for experience/karma), or something along the line of Zkeys from GW1… In short: better rewards.
