While thief MIGHT be a bit too strong, but only a bit, these changes would literally kill the profession, I’m not even joking. You want to literally remove all their ways to cleanse a condition, which they already are bad at! The way you talk about these skills as well, make it seem like they are broken. I can do the same for other professions, hold on.
Engineer:
1) Healing Turret: a huge heal, water field with a blast finisher for anyone and yourself to blast in that cures 2 conditions on a 20s cooldown!!
2) Gear shield: a 3s block on a 16s cooldown with a certain trait!! This is a nobrainer. Too much invulnerability
3) Slick Shoes: a pbAoe that let’s you knock down anyone that runs at you in melee range MULTIPLE times + a really short cooldown stunbreak. This is simply overkill.
Elementalist:
1) An ele can cleanse 3-4 conditions every 10 seconds. Regen trait, swap on water, dodge in water, use water 5, get crit to get regen trait. This is over the top and you can’t kill an elementalist with condis unless 2 guys just completely condi train him.
2) An ele can heal over 10k in burst heals. Why is this allowed, Anet please. Can’t you clearly see how OP this is. I get him to 2k HP and suddenly his water attunement is up and he heals for over 60%. Is this real life???
Guardian:
1) Shelter: OMG he can block more and for longer than thief’s Withdraw. Please nerf.
See what I did there? Your suggestions are almost all terrible and would simply kill the profession. No ways to condi cleanse, knocked out of SR 100% of time against someone good, panic strike activated when you had the kill for sure any way already…

So basicly you want thief to be less fun/harder to play with + otherall survivability to be even less and your just one of those people who have some strange problem with them prob. because you struggle/d to kill them at sometime and have some wierd idea that they are very “op”. Its getting tiring that people just think some classes/builds are just to impossible to beat so then they must be weakened. So my suggestion to rework thief is to not rework it.
What’s up with all these nerf thief threads recently? Thief is a shadow of the class it was at launch- (several of the above items have already been nerfed as well!)
Demanding constructive feedback whilst each and every suggestion is utter bullkitten. Some people should really have their posting rights revoked, especially those crying for nerfs to a class that they have no clue about at all.

Now the thief’s traits I don’t have much issues with. Quite fair and even for their traits. Except maybe with all those reworks above the traits might have to be revisited. So lets look at a few of those more problematic ones.
1) Panic Strike
Immobilize for so long with only a 20sec cooldown…this I can let slide…but seriously I will suggest making it a 90sec cooldown but make it immobilize on 25% health. You know, at that point its a sure kill for the thief when you immobilize the enemy at 25%. and maybe also give it 3 stacks of might when the enemy is at 25% health.

Like if the rest of your post wasn’t suggestive enough to indicate that you’re a troll. that little portion gives it away. All your “reworks” are in the negative/nerf direction of things, so they can’t warrant a “rework” of another skill in the same negative direction. Like none of your “reworks” actually benefit Panic Strike enough to warrant a nerf to it. You’re basically saying “and since i’ve nerfed things, i should nerf more things because of that”. I like it though, it shows you put a bit of thought into this, since yeah triggering the ability at 25% and given might does make seem like it’s a nice thing… though that’s a “higher” threshold to reach… and on a 90 second CD…. hmmm…. Adding 1 more point to your score.
Sorry you’re trolling attempt is only 4/10 3/10.
It shares many of the qualities of normal QQ posts, and will slip by most people and start heated discussion like other QQ posts.

In all seriousness…. I think steal needs a rework. If a thief “steals” it should also disable an equivalent skill from the player they stole from until the thief uses the stolen item or is killed.
For example:
Warrior- steals weapon- ie main hand weapon disabled.
Ele- steals ice, ie cannot attune to water
Ranger- steals spring, ie cannot use healing skill
etc- please add appropriate suggestions if you have any.
Of course thieves would not be affected in this way because, as is well known, thieves have access to a secret stash.
