Just like to point out: According to one of your Peeps, AR had Queues on basically every Map: as did Kaineng. All Servers have the same limit of Players per Map. Despite having similar numbers, Kaineng HAS managed to take the lead and hold it. This is not an attempt to Chest-thump, I KNOW we can get a lot better…response time for any calls I’ve made out for help thus far have taken WAY too long. I at least feel it’s fair to say that on “Equal Ground” thus far, Kaineng has proven itself fairly skilled.

Note: This is more for those who are going to be saying how great they are and how horrible Kaineng Players are and how they got 500 Badges off us, blah blah blah. Everyone knows full well I expected a good fight. :p Been posting everywhere “AR and NSP are going to surprise everyone, I was over there and I saw them in action.”

To clear things up. Nobody in AR is saying we are great and that Kains suck.

A few things that should be made clear. As I’m sure you already know.

During NA primetime (last nights reset) it is essentially a 2 man fight. AR and KAIN. The PPT were pretty even. Check my score screenshot, your points lead is coming from NSP nodes. Our objective wasn’t to win or take the lead last night. It was to test your strength.

With that being said, lets all have fun this week. Leave the chest thumping to the apes.

Its not entirely true, if NSP wasn’t in EB and wasn’t on their BL they wouldn’t be splitting our forces from focusing on you. NSP relieved a lot of pressure we could have brought against your server if it was 1 on 1.

It was a 3 way fight and NSP was fighting tooth and nail for what they had. And they were primarily fighting us. Don’t talk down to NSP so hard, they have a lot of fight in that server.

IMHO, you guys would roll DR. Heard some bandwagon guild left DR already, besides i’ve been with AR for a long time and this is the first time i have encountered an opponent server that dominates all 3 BL + EB.

In the end, they have learned a lot, thanks to your kindliness for not holding back and slaughtering us all, hope you guys had lots of badges

PS: btw, we were laughing so hard when we were stranded on a little corner (attchment 1) of the map for like 20 min inside bay while getting zerged by AR all over the place (attchment 2), yet even managed to hold it up and eventually push it to take bay keep (attchment 3) xD

Yeah, the MAIN guild is Survivor of Searing [SoS] (with a lower case o), and as the guild hits 500 cap, I created a series of sub guilds to store different types of players.

Each guild has its specific role and joining requirements, but that’ll get off topic so I’ll keep it at that.

Ya, you’ll be dissapointed to hear that you far outnumber DR at this point. However depending on who the other server is, it might not be a complete stomp. BP had a very large force (I’m assuming they still do) and not sure about Mag, they seem to be holding their own.

You need to remember T8 went through what 2-3 weeks of owning nothing ? GoM & HoD, now AR & NSP. This is not meant as an insult to Kain but I am extremely dissapointed in Anets for letting these kind of situations happen.

I will continue to fight, just because I WvW exclusively, I just hope Anet does something sooner rather then later.

There coverage isn’t too bad. I posted this earlier but their pugs and tactics could use improvement.

I am on BG which is in tier 1 and have only played in tier 3 and above, so I have seen a lot of impressive tactics.

The one week I was on Kaineng for 100% map completion I joined in every now and than to WvW with them. I only commanded one and that was it, but there was definitely a difference in their pugs from higher tiers.

I am sure they are getting better and better though! So I am truly psyched about how far they can accomplish.

I wouldn’t doubt it Storm, I’m sure there is already players looking to find a diff server or maybe join Kain. Your right, its very difficult to recover from, once those players are gone they are generally gone for good making an already semi small population even smaller. But the damage is done and all I can do is shake my head at Anet in disgust.

Although we may come last this week, what we learn can be used in the future.

Didn’t want to post last night, reset was a fun battle all around. Primarily stayed on NSP BL, and noticed many from AR and NSP there too. I was one of the guys helping out seige up the hills, and there was a number of good battles out there. Including a great big NSP push at North Gate, and almost the same time, AR was at the south gate but with fewer numbers at that time. All in all, many fun battles to be had, I was actually a little concerned from that push as we had a waypoint 80% complete when you guys came. Only reinforced/not fortified yet.

Tough Draygo, didn’t even have time to properly build defenses and the zerg is already there. I can see just 2 others with Brad and 3 more coming towards tower, and look at the zerg that kaineng had. Wooden wall + 3 cata’s and loads of support from the zerg, how much can one do to farm badges from that zerg? You down 1 or 2 u got 15-20 to rez their team mate. Wishful thinking mate, wishful thinking

What do you consider ‘night’ (plz include time frame and time zone) and how many players in all of wvw at ‘night’ do you consider ‘decent’?

Now, all of that pretty red in NSP BL is just calling to me…..

Just as a morale booster for the other 2 servers (though apart from a few people on this forum I don’t think you need one), even though we held just about everything for most of the night, I just woke up now and AR is on +150 controlling most of their borderlands.
NSP’s point tally has also gone up quite a bit overnight.

I realize it may seem insignificant but believe me, this already puts both of you head and shoulders above the tier 7 servers. You are infinitely better competition than anyone we’ve played thusfar and when DR comes falling back down next week in presumably a weakened state, I expect you’ll have a very engaging and even matchup on your hands. We’ll certainly wish you all the best of luck at any rate

@bradderzh there are ways to defend on that, and in all honesty that is a poor use of prints and supply on the attackers part. At work though, will work out a few new tower layouts after I get back in the game now that I see the strategies they are using.

In that screenshot, I can see two locations on the wall where I would deploy arrow carts to nuke those catapults. One superior arrow cart may have been sufficient to end that attempt, though that isn’t to say that Kaineng wouldn’t have eventually owned that tower.

I actually would like to see DR and Kain fight it out as well, as well as I would like a rematch with BP.

I want to see the statement where ANet devs have been willing to specifically say that this is true. I’ve seen plenty of players claim it, and I’ve taken it as raw assumption of logic. The actual developer statements I’ve read are never willing to indicate a solid figure for the total number of players connected to a borderland map (roughly 500, but not exactly 500, and with ongoing plans to increase that estimate), which leaves no room to safely assume that there is a specific cap on the total players which is also divisible by 3.

They sent a couple scouts who came to Kaineng and chatted us up, they asked our opinions and wanted to basically make sure they would fit. I know 100% that Kaineng was not the only one to get these Scouts. However, in the end they decided Kaineng fit them best. To think they did this for the easy fights rather than for the atmosphere of the Server is kinda foolish. For those who bail when we lose?…Yes…they were probably here for easy fights. But I think many people will be surprised at how few of the “Primary Transfer Guilds” will bail on us. Not gonna claim no one will leave…there’s bound to be those who will. But our Server has become even more united and strong BECAUSE of them. They brought a level of organization that I appreciate and enjoy…

Not gonna lie Rob…without Meow Guild I would’ve bailed on NSP without helping at all in WvW. Was you guys and SOUL that kept me around and you guys were the reason I actually defended what I did and upgraded what I did while I was there. I remember being treated like garbage at the first suggestion in Map chat that we can hold and defend what we had in NSPBL vs. DR. You guys had the population and capability to fight DR…but most of your population lacked the will or drive.

Note: I’m seriously NOT trying to be mean…I saw more passion in shouting down my absurd idea of holding off DR than I did in actually fighting them.(Later on TOA I think is the Guild?…They also kept me around a bit. NSP has some awesome Guilds…but a horrible general populace as far as ‘welcoming’.)

Also to be fair: We didn’t initially welcome the Guilds either. I think the main difference was…we made it very clear we intend to fight our way as high as we can and don’t want hanger’s on. Not because we want to be higher tier…but because we want better fights. Take a massive well organized guild, a massive mob of bandwagoners, and transfer to a tier 8 server so you can make wvw one sided and boring for hundreds of players for weeks at a time until you get to where you should have transfered to begin with.

When I see a group of 25 use 5 catapults to take an undefended tower I go comatose.

My guild ( The first to transfer. ) only took about 100 members. That’s not a massive organized guild.

Oh did you think I meant this current match-up? This has happened countless times. It’s a pretty common complaint.

There we’re scouts on NSP from guilds that went to Kaineng and others.
But I’m sure the NSP community gave them hell.
Our dudes can’t even be nice to their own Commanders, never mind people coming in.

Not gonna lie Rob…without Meow Guild I would’ve bailed on NSP without helping at all in WvW. Was you guys and SOUL that kept me around and you guys were the reason I actually defended what I did and upgraded what I did while I was there. I remember being treated like garbage at the first suggestion in Map chat that we can hold and defend what we had in NSPBL vs. DR. You guys had the population and capability to fight DR…but most of your population lacked the will or drive.

Note: I’m seriously NOT trying to be mean…I saw more passion in shouting down my absurd idea of holding off DR than I did in actually fighting them.(Later on TOA I think is the Guild?…They also kept me around a bit. NSP has some awesome Guilds…but a horrible general populace as far as ‘welcoming’.)

Also to be fair: We didn’t initially welcome the Guilds either. I think the main difference was…we made it very clear we intend to fight our way as high as we can and don’t want hanger’s on. Not because we want to be higher tier…but because we want better fights. Either way you have to look at it how, (I’m not going to say ‘we’ because half the Commanders know diddly squat) the dedicated eventually train themselves to view the map. I register everything as a statistical number, I take into consideration zerg size, zerg level, zerg response time and zerg guild level.
Against DR in those last weeks we had enough numbers to take and hold one map. But doing that would not increase our points and keep us in the tier.
So we had to try and cap/map swap faster then AR and DR. Dropping down to grab what we could.
But server pride runs strong in the Commanders who have been in NSP since the start and have witnessed the double rise and fall. We’d take SM and hold it against everything just to spite DR and AR.
But the thing is. We have some vile players who do not care about anyone except themselves. Or do not know enough to make an accurate choice. This spawns from NSP being a PvE server.
And those guys are great at PvE, but when they come into WvW they continue to think they are gods.
And quite a few of them are now Commanders.
And the PvE pugs follow the PvE Commander.
But when things start going bad. They all leave.

Which is just strangling the actual WvW leaders to death. Thats myself included.

We don’t bother doing that. I just take all the info I get from people on the servers and compile it into a rough sketch of size and timezones.
Not as if its of much use at the moment XD
But now we are actually fighting prepare to be studied and your Commanders judged. Will give them to friends in the tier above. They can sort themselves to counter if they want.
