@Plok I can assure you that just because you may have had a smaller group running around, that was far from the only BP presence in AR BL. The group that sieged up at Gods was hardly 6 people. On top of that was a decent amount of SF. Why so upset AR was holding it’s BL?

That was a fun night of gaming thank you Anvil Rock for a good night of fighting in the EB. Always look forward to logging in and fighting you guys.

The giant MOB that filed out of the camp after rolling over my lvl 15 alt was quite impressive. 80 is a fair guess. Further still the amusing part is at was at least half ALS, SOS & TcMM

i’ve noticed peeps do this too my friend but look at it from this view, if that person chooses to fight you and looses it demoralize’s them so if said person grabs 3 guys for instance and comes back and ROFL STOMPS you it demoralize’s you in turn you will maybe wanna leave that BL or get more peeps in with you to back you up. Many times ive done this on enemy BL and have been jumped by a pack too often at the JP which i suck at terribly but meh 9x out of 10 i stomp the guys trying to kill me

Zerg will zerg, on every server, everytime. Especially when they are in their own borderland.

I also get rolled by zerg, I don’t like it ether. I don’t like the zerging aspect of WvW. But what can we do huh?

Everything is in favor of zerging, so no surprise people do it.

you know, i don’t come to the forums all that often, but when I do, I am constantly reading about zergs and thieves. while I do agree that rendering gives thieves a distinct advantage, all classes can be made to have strengths. Even engineers, which in some ways is (imo) the hardest class to play, can be pretty strong.

zerging, unfortunately, is part of Wv3. For anyone that really wants to smurf about it, well, talk to ArenaNet and NC Soft. They are the ones that made the game the way that it is. I’ve run into all these things and gotten my smurf kicked quite often. Not gonna get on here and flame about it.

Now, if anyone had anything to flame about, it would be the lack of real competition from the servers BP has been up against in the last 3-4 weeks. We have planted servers in the ground, hoping they would grow, and alas, it just isn’t meant to be. Hopefully, we will have a more competitive time in the next tier up.

I understand that BP has probably gotten transfers while other servers haven’t. If people WANT to come to BP, great. Come be a part of the PACT and we’ll show you a good time. Zerg or no, we have worked damn hard to get to where we are. We have come up with many different strategies to confuse and demoralize. Don’t discount that fact. Plok, Diasho, and do different things every week.

In the end, we are borg, you will be assimilated, and resistance is futile.

Can I ask what the heck happened to SF? When we left, the server as a whole was still doing good for its bracket.

Well if you can’t get any duels or small fights out of Plok, myself and some members of my guild would be happy to take on any challengers.

That what’s happen when a server get a urge of transfer. And that’s Why I’m again free transfer.

I’m not saying you guys didn’t group up and didn’t use tactics. You did! And are really effective at it!

But going from last tier, to a futur tier 6, In 1 month?

Going from really close games between you AR and GoM, to complete domination? Hell each night you guys control the entire map, 100% green.

You guys are really really good, and have some good commanders! But you just can’t deny the fact.

Something happened to your population, especially since you guys keep talking about queue, and people can’t transfer anymore to BP since the server is Full.

Mass transfer to low tier server aren’t fun. I hope it won’t happen to AR, I hate having an easy match up like we had last week.

I hope BP will finaly find a better challenge in the upper match up.

Tho We had some pretty good fights this week!

I’m sure Borlis Pass has had some transfers, it happens. However I have yet to see any significant guild transfer over to Borlis Pass in the past month.

One of the biggest reasons why Borlis Pass has better server population in WvW is because many of our PvE players have finished everything that PvE has to offer. My guild has doubled in size over the past couple of weeks because of us recruiting PvE players and doing our best to provide them a fun WvW experience win or lose.

Just to see how PvE was going, I decided to roam around in the PvE world and I hardly ran into anyone (low level area and 1 high level area for farming). I’m sure things will change when the Wintersday event begins, but it would seem that PvE players are a little bored and starting to give WvW a serious try. \o/

Again to be clear, I am not denying that it’s possible many individuals transferred to our server… but I just haven’t seen any significant guild join Borlis Pass in the past month.

We do fine during primetime, the problem we run into is we literally have no night crew, so all of our stuff gets recapped overnight no matter how well we fortify. this creates a self-perpetuating cycle where no one wants to spend the cash to upgrade/fortify keep that are going to be lost when folks go to bed. BP just has much better night coverage (not to minimize the skill of their night crew, which is really good). It would be smart to team up with AR to go after BP during our primetimes, but we have a group of dedicated idiots who insist on attacking AR so we can win second place or something. I don’t know, I can’t really follow the logic.

Trickier to organize now that you can’t find out an enemy’s name in-game anymore. But still doable with a little planning ahead of time since whisper communication is still possible if you know the person’s name.

I’m still wondering why SF focused so much on us right at the reset.

It’s a good tactic to play for the 2nd place, but since the reset happened, I thought we would go for the bigger dog, aka BP.

Since BP and Ar have some kind of bad blood, if SF focus on us we are really in trouble. As BP tend to focus more on us.

On reset SF was actually helping AR because instead of hitting hills they were hitting Briar, which was ours. They also came in behind us at garrison after we had opened both gates and stole it from us.

As for the rest of the week, what happened is what always happens. People tend to go for the easier targets. SF did try to invade BP BL a few times, but it often times failed. If you defend your borderlands enough, other servers tend to avoid it and attack easier targets. But I bet you already knew that.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad week for AR though. I mean, how many people got to do their fractals without worrying about wvw this week? Go ascended gear!

I was against this BS in the last game I played and would say i would still be against it. if we meet on the field while roaming around, great, otherwise it’s collaboration to play the game not as intended.

Setting up duels is easy. Obviously you have player names on the forums, but if you come across someone you’d like to duel (usually someone you fought before that was good), just be near them so you can target them. Then click on your party invite/join on the top left of your screen, and you can invite the “Invader” or join their party.

I was against this BS in the last game I played and would say i would still be against it. if we meet on the field while roaming around, great, otherwise it’s collaboration to play the game not as intended.

I see nothing wrong with it because:

1. There is no 1 vs 1 fight option in the game.
2. Most maps don’t have a queue right now, so what’s the difference if they’re doing pve or 1v1 in some remote side of the map?
3. 1v1 is fun
4. It would promote a feeling of friendship across servers

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Plok, though not necessarily for the same reasons. Duels in my opinion are cheesy, to many ‘rules’ and often too easy to plan around depending on class.

I like the aspect of WvW that you have to play a rounded build to handle a wide assortment of people/builds/situations. Duel’s are just too static, for me personally, and what makes a great duel build may have no utility in the rest of the game.

That said, I fully support everyone’s right to have duels and I hope they enjoy themselves and are uninterrupted. If I come across folks dueling I will typically hang out and watch the fights, eat some popcorn, etc.

The only reason why they didn’t take Hills was because we defended it. They went for Garrison and probly didn’t know you were inside. But they still lost it right after.

If you check other borderland, BP was attack free, EB had BP attacking us And SF had BP attacking them.

So BP attacked everyone, SF attacked AR, and AR defended vs 2 ennemies. And we also had to defend from BP in EB.

The reset day is big, this is the moment that will decide if fairweather stay or go pve. I’m sure we lost a lot of them after this attack, especially since we thought SF would give us a break.

Borliss Pass would still have won this match up, but I still think SF went the easy way and attacked the smallest ennemy. While Anvil Rock went for BP right after, just to kittenw ith ya1 :P

You had quit a good assault team in our borderland, not sure ether if we could have hold you.

But from my perspective, it would have been a lot easier.

When defending you, we also had to defend from SF. Our forces were divide in 2. That’s why you had such an easy way in the Bay hehe.

Did you guys recap our keep in EB? Each time we get it in the evening, the morning after we lost it again We have some good fights for this keep aha.

I just moved to SF a week1/2 ago and believe it or not but both our borderlands and EB were full right after reset so there was nothing against AR. Wish all those people were showing up during the week…hope next week is better when we move down a tier. Good luck to both BP and AR in their matches next week.

Would have been better if they attacked BP since they were in our BL…but those are probably the people that showed up for a day and half to wvw.

Hey AR, there’s a bunch of losers from your server using exploits to enter tower doors in EB and capping them in a minute or two. One of these losers has Sunrise, another is from The Culpeper Minute Men. It’s a weak thing to do, please try to do something about this.

well vorch, our server has grown a ton in 3 weeks. Thats how long I’ve been playing. My guild has grown from 100 players to 500. [Krew] we dont all rock yet but alot of us do. And we cetainly have the numbers. It is so fun to have seen this and be a part of it. We will be moving up in the ranks, and I hope it continues because the leaders of my guild have made it so fun.

Guild Wars 2 is only 3 months old, Christmas is coming up, I see alot of new players almost every day. I think word of mouth is cathing on, this game is a wow killer. It’s awesome.

Amazing how fast you took Garry then walked into hills, I call BS, but we’re used to it by now.
