bad form FEAR zerging a casual gvg with their full map 60 person zerg…..
south of south camp is pretty much a guarantee spot for gvg. and your FEAR scout told you it was 15 SF vs 15 Agg? so you could come and roll us with 60? lol so sad hahahaha you must have been bored to interrupt a gvg like that. pathetic.
Looks like someone died in a PvP zone.
Also, nice WvW math there. Didn’t you know, SoR always runs in 180 man zergs and on reset night, SoR runs 230 man zergs.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
Then people started hearing about SoR’s awesome fights and transferred to us, and we wound up getting pushed into T1 much to MANY a SoR player’s chagrin.
You either have bandwagonners hop on your server because it has developed a rep…or like Blackgate and others did, you chase other guilds and beg and plead and promise cookies.
You should seriously think about getting into comedy, you are amazing.

1st off we only had about 15 and the rest were random. At most we had 25-30 total. Might have seemed like more due to how quickly you died. So I can forgive your blatant exaggeration.
2nd – FEAR was not invited to your little “casual” event so we felt slighted and acted accordingly. Next time it would behoove you to possibly send us an invite.
3rd – We were farming badges all evening (all week for that matter) and seeing that the map was rather quiet we went to where the badges could be found. It’s WvW my friend so complaining about being killed in any BL is rather pointless.
4th – yes we were bored. Thank you for providing us with a laugh before we logged for the night.

Can’t get bags in the field so FEAR has to resort to breaking the unspoken truce zone that everyone has set aside for GvG? This is the one spot where people from each server can come and stand next to each other to watch a small skirmish and build some sort of community between each of the competitive servers. There’s a thing called honor that people live by, and you sir, do not have it. This is blatant disrespect to the community everyone has helped build. I hope you enjoy being roflstomped by JQ and BG.

I think it’s time we as a community show FEAR and by extension SOR that we do not take kindly to interference in GvG fights.
Friends, I call for a 72 hour red team lockout in T1.
I think all of SoR’s guilds are quite capable of holding their own as a guild. There seems to be a lot of hate just because sometimes these guilds work together. Isnt that the point of having allies, a community, and servermates.
Maybe the other servers are just upset that SoR’s guilds are willing to work together when needed and work together so well creating such an unstoppable force, whereas their enemies hate each other just has much as they hate their opposition.

1st: I did not state it was 60 FEAR, it was a big kitten zerg, lots of randoms and CDS, maybe totaling the 50-60 zone, 60 is a common reference for mega zerg so it is just the number I was stating, may or may not have been 60. regardless wiping a gvg, with your guild whatever the numbers is bad form. maybe if guilds on SoR didn’t run with mega zergs all the time BG and JQ would be more willing to “field” fight you as guilds on your server claim to play for.
2nd: SF really has no background with FEAR besides wiping your “team” in the field, you do not stick out to me a good skirmishing guild. we have no contact with your guild leaders or commanders nor have you ever tried to contact ours. in fact the only time your guild has stuck out to me is when you tag a long with TW or Choo. Or maybe it was that one time you defended an exploited tower all night despite me informing someone from your guild that it was taken by an exploit, which to you means nothing, which is bad form.
3rd: 1 Fear guy was watching the gvg, we left him alone, thinking he was just a spectator. along with many JQ and BG spectators. But really he was just informing your whole map to come “have some fun” and wipe a gvg for what bags? lol. you’re pathetic have fun farming and getting trolled. You guys must wipe alot to NEED bags and drops so badly. cute really :P

Does SoR run anything but full map zergs?
Nope, all our players in every map are on one commander on that map at all times.
We are also looking just for you, we are out to get you.
Sarcasm doesnt work when it’s mostly true. Running havoc on Choo maps is easy and boring… taking camps ahead of a single giant zerg and never having anything to kill keeping our 25 stacks for hours is just… meh.
Dude, it’s cause we are chasing one guy. Did you not read my post? We could care less about you, we are after him!!!
sorry, forget trains naturally suffer from tunnel vision
Well of course! We do run on tracks ya know.
But on a more serious note, what is with all the negative connotation surrounding “zergs” that form on servers.
They have their positives and negatives just like any other strategy in the current WvW meta. They are good at taking tough objectives, but lack the mobile map presence.
However, fracturing into many small groups makes your key positions susceptible to zergs and also demoralizes your pugs.
Having a hybrid of the two is great and all, but finding that balance is difficult especially considering fluctuating numbers not only on a day to day basis, but on an hourly basis as well. Then you have to factor in composition of the current build being compromised by fracturing along with the current morale of the map’s troops.
This is not even taking into account going into a map with T3 enemy structures which beats groups of 15-20 with 5-10 men on siege.
So, we run a train, we run people over. That is our goal and we are good at doing it. We are exploring having multiple groups built into that strategy, but as the current WvW meta stands, zergs work well. Every server does it. And until something changes overall in WvW meta that is zerg breaking, it will probably stay that way.
Now I’m going to bed, so take everything I just said with a grain of salt, I’m tired T.T
Negative connotation comes from the reality that it takes more player skill to compete in small man operations than zergs. There is plenty of coordination and theorycrafting when it comes to zergs, but it’s not the same… that goes for any MMO. Now, not everyone is an elitist, and not every elitist is a kitten… so it shouldnt be an insult, just a different playstyle and preference.

Seems unreal to complain about SoR zergs. There have been plenty of guilds out this week who just run 2-3 groups and of course combine if need be to tackle a larger force. 15 of us trying to take on 2-3x our number would be silly.
There are many highly skilled WvW guilds on SoR, some of them are just smaller and harder to notice in the zerg balls.

I think it’s fair to say it is only known to GvGers. Most of the casual population and probably every single individual who doesn’t visit these boards or guru has no idea about the GvG area or even that GvG exists.
But I digress, back to my original question, who won the GvG? Are there any fraps?

Well my point made even more.
Why would I invite a guild as unskilled as yours. I tried pming Indo and Tytos (only worthy SoR opponents), both offline.
Anyway you aren’t super awesome, i’d rank you below Team Legacy from Kaineng, not necessarily a bad thing.
This is usually what happens when we go on a map with FEAR:1. Fear, TW / Cds all running seperately.
2. CDS wipes, combines with TW.
3. FEAR wipes 3 times, combines with TW.
4. SoR becomes a FEAR / TW / CDS zerg, not TW’s fault.Keep in mind FEAR always runs with pugs / commander tag, if your going to claim to be good then at least make sure its just your guild, otherwise keep quiet.

Ah, that’s truly a shame. The more GvG that happens the better it will be for this game long term I feel, at least until they create GvG similar to GW1. I can’t say I condone interrupting a GvG especially when you know what it is. Sucks it happened to you guys, but don’t let it deter you from trying again.

Another perspective perhaps

There’s nothing bad about cooperation with other guilds, its just entertaining to see guilds get wiped on a map a few times then have others guilds from other maps have to port in to wipe the same team and get a foothold on the map because they were incapable of doing it alone.
And rofl at anyone thinking their something big wiping a 15v15 GvG of people standing still. Keep trying pals.
Here, let’s cut the crap before this goes like 10 pages longer. SF and Agg were testing new builds in GvG format against each other. We had done a GvG in the past vs each other and wanted to explore new builds in a smaller team format and get some field movements down. Consider it our version of workshops, only real time, both guilds are looking at different ways we view classes and builds and would like to have that self improvement. There were 15 members of SF and Agg, both our servers had an insta queue. Even when we first entered there was an outmanned buff. That being said, just even being AFK helps the map out if anything at that point to keep the buff off.
I realize that it is an open field and anyone can attack anyone, but in all the games I have played there’s always been “manners.” Anyone remember what those are in video games? The point that is being driven, is just show some integrity. As for not inviting others, SF and Agg have somehow grown close with our team leads in trolling the hell out of each other during game play. I don’t recommend this to all commanders or for the weak at heart. It’s just the FPS player coming out is all.. We were only looking to up each others games and stay competitive and quite possibly ahead of the curve.
As for PRX and SF always forming a “super zerg,” that’s a great idea, I’ll stay in contact with their GM and get this going as often as we apparently do according to that poster on this forum. I’m sure if this were for real all the time we’d see more crying.
As for the practice score Agg scored one on us I now have video evidence of SF not knowing what to do with a new build and strat setup! Thanks Jerico for tryin’ to get something going with our lil’ cross server event. Overall score now SF 3 Agg 1.

I live by the same rules; if it’s red, it’s dead. However, I also play to help my server and not be a total bookah (lols). And if we’re really playing for cool/style points, I’m wayyy ahead. =3
People used to ask me why I wouldn’t join a dedicated PvP guild while I was on SoR, and I always had to tell them that it was because of the blatant disrespect their members always showed for each other and for their opponents. It’s just more satisfying to stomp people like that than it is to stomp people who have some degree of sportsmanship.
Plus a lot of them sounded like 16 year olds in VOIP…wasn’t really into that.

hmmm “a lot of them sounded like 16 year olds in VOIP”… really? What VOIP were you in? Perhaps in an underage guild. Now there is no need to drag this outside and making assumptions now. Now the disrespect we shown one another? HMM any examples because we all respect one another here. Disrespect for our opponents like by talking trash?
